These are all good observation and good points to take note most especially of many aspiring bounty hunters. It is really better to look on this kind of thread which is really helpful in avoiding a failed or even a scam bounties.

Bounty should not be treated as a confirmed source of earning. If you follow the above rule and still get scammed do not come here and crib. Bounty is basically an extra source of earning cryptos. Bounty was meant to build community and give them the opportunity to earn some tokens without investing.

Bounty hunters have made bounties as an occupation now and therefore they are always cribbing and crying for tokens.

You may be right on your statement, but We cannot control the mind and decision of the others here especially if they are motivated that bounty campaign is the main method here for them to earn crypto without issuing any capital that comes from their pocket. Because we can't deny that there are some of the bounties that really give earnings in the end after the campaign project is done this is the truth that we cannot hide.

When I want to join the bounty, my priority is seeing how active the bounty manager is updating the spreadsheet every week
if it is always updated, well, if in the distribution stage suddenly there are problems, I can judge if the problem is the party who has the token project
and the number of bounty participants who participated, whether it has reached more than a thousand participants and there is no limit then I will just skip it bounty

some points that really help bounty hunters. at least what has been said can reduce the risk and make the bounty hunter have a little experience to be able to analyze the project on their own. I am sure many of the bounty hunters only saw who the bounty manager handled the campaign. especially when there are not many new projects available, then choosing a project with the origin is definitely done by most bounty managers. This post is very helpful for someone who has difficulty analyzing projects.

You can easily detect whether a bounty campaign is a scam or not. If the team is not transparent enough, then they have something they are hiding. How will they gain investors trust if they not open up. And way to know is through the project idea and white paper. Some projects will just copy and paste some successful project white paper and claim it is their idea. Avoid doing bounty for this types of project.

You are right, the project team that is not transparent cannot be relied on because from the start it reads that the project falls under the traits of a fraudulent project.  Many people have become ambiguous because they did not research before joining the Bounty campaign.  Developers have thousands of ways to fool everyone, so be careful when joining new project.

The tricky social engineering methods are used by the scam teams and it is very hard to detect the scam campaign if the team has planned everything many months before the launch of the project. I never invest in the anonymous team projects for the obvious reasons and my advice to bounty hunters to stay away from the bounty projects backed by anonymous teams. For avoiding to get scammed, I also advise other users not to involved in the projects with anonymous teams.

To solve this problem would have to regularize the market but this may alienate some investors and supporters who do not want to put their data at risk. So the best way today is to get to know the project and seek as much information about the team to guarantee your investment or time in a campaign.

Knowledge is power.

This is a great list. I was in a trial and error phase back then and was very excited about the huge amount of rewards they will distribute.
I join different bounties as I was not aware of scams are relevant in crypto, some rewards are generous but some are not worthy of my time.
Now, it's all about common sense, but not all project succeeds and lasts, so rewards may vary depending on how you hold, sell, or trade it.

Sometimes delays in spreadsheet updates doesn't justify a project, I've promoted two high quality projects that takes more than 4 weeks for the BM to update the spreadsheet, many left but not me because I believe the use case is why I'm promoting the project and in the end I wasn't disappointed, I'm not saying late updates are good but late updates shouldn't be the reason to quit promoting a promising project

Yes, at least we really need to know about the project being carried out.  for example the uniqueness of the project.  don't get into a project where even the Whitepaper plagiarized another project.  And BM who are smart and experienced are usually not that easy to accept a project because a bad project will damage the reputation of BM itself. if the BM can be deceived, moreover bounty hunter?? Thats the risk, you work so you ready for the risk

Bounty managers have a big role to play in bounty campaigns but let's not forget that they are been hired for the job, not all project team will meet reputable bounty managers for their project, some will use inexperienced bounty managers, they will make mistakes but be smart enough to correct any type of BM, how BM handled the campaign won't determine the success of the project

Seriously enough is enough for  bounty scam, taken note of your highlighted point I think the rate at which we will be scammed will reduce for most campaigns. Mostly when I noticed the typographical error and negative trust issues I just back off from however the campaign may be attracted

Yes, this topic is of little help to bounty hunters who have just started their hunt, but they should also research a lot more through several project sites and websites as well as on social media projects because it will also help them personally, including reading white papers as well urgent.

Verifying the team is easier than reading a long while paper, never done that when I was a bounty hunters, I just work to get paid and I can participate in different, so it doesn't really matter to me. The feedback I can read from investors is more than enough for me, it helps me not to fall on scammers projects.

These signs for me are :
1. When the thread is filled with grammatical and typographical errors.

.
.
.
.
.
13. When there is no ANN at the beginning or it is provided later in the bounty maybe because someone is consistently requesting for it.

Different people, different mind, different opinion after reading your opinion i agreed with your some point but not every point. My thoght is if we get paid we are ready to work hard if you gives us tricky work no worry we will work if you paid a handsome amount. But if you gives us less work for less payment truely it harts. We are here to work so no problem gives us more work but should pay handsome amout.
Now the fact is there has a problem which is project strongness. If the project is not strong as much as need to be successful then no matter hows the task is easy or hard how much you get paid. It will be nothing.  So there is not a fault of bounty manager. Everything depends on project.

Admit it that many projects fail back in 2018 because the market really hurting of the huge dumping from the ATH so we can't blame them to just walk away or made a promise that they cannot fulfill .

but the thing is they should tell the Hunters of the real score and not making BS promises but will fail later.

though There are so many scammers that ride the bearish and instead of helping the Hunters they victimized them with the investors.

In the end, there is not going to be any bounty campaign which has a 100% guarantee for payment (unless they use escrow system, and do their payments using Ethereum or Bitcoin). The only thing you can do is to weed out risky projects, by flagging suspicious ones. But given that the average success rate for ICO right now is around 4% to 5%, don't expect good payments from every bounty campaign that you participate in.
