If newbies want to store their money and earn a little profit in the future then buying top currencies is their best option aside from stable currencies. But newbies
should make sure first that they will not be afraid when the times that their portfolio will fall as it is how the market works.

Old coins are always the best to actually invest, even though they are rarely to make any movement. Things like Ripple, BNB and ETH are an exception where they could make the price move. Look at BNB yesterday, it was pumped for more than 20% in 24h which is insane considering the price is really high.

Not really because all of coins are volatile. Still chosing or investing in altcoins are risky. The only key to successful investment is to know when to buy, to sell and to hold.

Usually the best time to buy crypto is when market is crashing. I have observed some that are buying when market has 3k usd per btc to which other crypto were being affected as well. Now, if all those who had invested in btc will going to sell then pretty sure it almost 3x profit for it. This is why to those who wanted to risk and invest in bitcoin it would be a good practice to buy when market is low.

OP was referring to newbies so top coins would definitely come in mind since they don't know much about crypto otherwise there is someone who is teaching him/her learning the basic and will eventually learn how to do basic trading, investing in a token sale and other things that an average crypto enthusiasts usually do.

I used to have the goal of only investing in the top coin but being led by greed. When the sharks group shared x5 x10 profits when investing in Defi coin, my greed arose and blindly invested. as a result I have divided 2 properties up to the present time because the defi trend is dead.

Yes you are right. Most of the newcomers in this crypto space are in lose or into the scams. The one of the main reason for this is they don't want to gain the knowledge or don't want to watch the market first. They think they will invest first and it will give profit over night. But that's not how this market works.
