@Efialtis do you realize what you have actually managed here? I mean this is SwC poker tourney and I get it and you like them and even have their signature (hell maybe affiliated?) but at the same time you gathered a ton of people here and they all know you and now your name is a brand of its own. What does that mean?

If SwC fails to do something as silly stupid easy as increasing chips from 5k to 10k, that means they may not be really appreciating the work you are putting in for their website, you could literally threaten them to take all the players to some other website if you want to unless they get it together. On top of that you could basically ask for other places what they are willing to offer if you bring the tournament to them, they might offer you a lot more than what SwC offers. You don't have to do any of these, just know that you now have that power.

Woah let's pump the brakes here a little. I agree that efialitis has done a bang up job, and their side project sounds great so not to take away from that in anyway. SWC has been amazing. This is a 0 rake series, that they contribute the majority of the Championship prizepool to.
They also in th epast when not busy have made arrangements for us that go above and beyond. Not gonna lie they could probably spit in my face and I'd still play there.  Wink

I wanted to say one of the spots I hate most in Poker is 3-handed at the final table. Ir0n1c you did not disappoint, it was a tough battle and didn't want to forget to mention it.
congrats dude, very solid heads up match. i was running pretty cold, always raising with the bottom of my range. i maybe could have waited for a better spot than that K2s jam, although i'm not upset with myself. that was a very solid call on your part.
almost took you out with that flop anyway---you had to hit that 2-outer on the turn! we woulda been in for a long heads up match if that pot went the other way. Tongue
~snip~
thanks, that's what it felt like. i had flopped bottom pair.
great game and series everyone. i'm glad i finally managed to cash one of these things. Tongue
time to crack open a beer and enjoy this beautiful spring weather......
Yeah I'm glad the 4 came through. Like I said I knew if I doubled you we we were going to be in for one hell of a battle.

I knew you had something I thought it was maybe a weak Q. Beer Iwish I'm off to work now, was way to pumped to try and nap  Grin

- Steamtyme received 15k chips
- Figmentofmyass received 9k chips
- 1r0n1c received 9k chips
Thanks for handling everything. Was nice to see you in the chat hanging out with us as well.

thanks again @efialtis and @tyKiwanuka. i've received the chips. Smiley
oh and good luck in the next BIG BTC @Steam! i had big dreams but it looks like you're gonna have to bink it for the both of us. Tongue
i need to keep grinding the lower buy-ins for a while and ease back into a groove. this 2nd place finish is a good start, now i've got some buy-ins for the next while.....
I'm pretty pumped for the Big BTC. Overall in the tourneys on SWC the field skills vary widly, but they are still super fun. I had an unfortunate experience in a 2000K chip buy-in and there was a dude jamming litterally any 2 and he took out my AK with a 93off, he did this to a few people.

Like I said earlier

So, who's your favorite for tonight's Final? Iv4n? I have a feeling that Hhampuz will do well tonight!  Cool
I don' know I really really want that hat  Grin

I mean this is SwC poker tourney

It actually is not. This is more like bitcointalk community weekend poker game which is held on swc poker ( And sponsored by them in the Grand Finale )

On top of that you could basically ask for other places what they are willing to offer if you bring the tournament to them, they might offer you a lot more than what SwC offers. You don't have to do any of these, just know that you now have that power.

Some of us probably only play in swc because of the tournament instead of playing regularly in swc. They are getting practically nothing from us instead of new user and they are even gracious to sponsor the Grand Finale with 0.05 BTC ( this is the second series, so they spend 0.1 BTC sponsoring this community game already )

They might not be really great in giving us 100% of what we desire but atleast they have been gracious enough so far and I wouldnt mind it.

You should join us as well in the 3rd series Squall  Wink

...

Congratulation for your win - you really deserved it. So when we were the last 3 guys standing, I knew that I had to push some all ins as my stack was far behind yours.
Luckily your 55 pockets hold, but nothing I really regret with my 2 overcards. Was a 50/50 gambling Smiley
There was one situation I´m annoyed about. It was quit early when I lost a lot of chips to you. You had AQ and I had AJ. I feeded your stack too much in this
hand but the way how you controlled your stack afterwards was amazing. That´s why a well deserved 1st place for you!

Thanks to everyone who made this poker series possible. It was so much fun and I won´t miss the next one. Be prepared Wink

@Steamtyme
Congrats on your win mate, well played and deserved, you have shown the consistency

@efialtis and @tyK
Well done guys and thanks once again. Now we expect even more from you in the next series. If you are tight with time efialtis learn to delegate Smiley I would be more than happy to help out with some part if you need it. I propose that you close this thread in a day or two and put the links to our discussion thread and new series thread in that last post.

I watched parts of the tournament yesterday and it was some rather good poker, we are progressing with each tournament. I was a little bit surprised that tournament wasn't a bit more tight in the beginning.

See you all in the next series.

Yesterday's game was the best of all imo!

Congrats @Steamtyme on totally deserved 1st place!

I agree with @Trofo here that we are progressing with each tournament. Indeed, the game becomes more and more interesting to watch, let alone to participate.

And the chat, the chat plays a significant role in the overall fun. Like, for example, remember what was happening yesterday? @efialtis, being not in the game even, joined the chat and turned it into a box radiating so much of positive energy! We were talking about the site named after his dog, lemon trees that were about to bloom, greek party mode and stuff. I enjoyed it very much. In fact, it was 50% of the overall pleasure from the game. Ty, @efi!

Good game, everyone! Congrats FOMA and 1r0n1c on making it to the prizes!

Can't wait for the #3 Series! Smiley

There was definitely nothing wrong with your shove. It was really the only sizing you had available, as I could float with a wide range, due to my stacksize. I think you got 1 or 2 through as I had nothing to call down and similar to when I got heads up, doubling either of you up would have bee a disaster.
In both cases with you and figment it was low pairs. I would have called down with any pair for sure, and most Ax holdings. Really gets the heart pumping in those situations.

Oh man that hand I felt about 50/50. I didn't think you had AK, but was worried about a set maybe. So I was pumped to see the J. It was me just retrieving the chips I paid you off with earlier lol. I just didn't believe you in the SB, I think you had KQ of clubs or something similar but you had top pair and I paid all 3 streets I believe. That and my KK losing to Iv4n hitting a trip 7 on the river had me very worried early on.

I'll try and have the video up tonight and I'll let everyone know. It would be great to get everyone talking some of their spots, or even asking about anything you see me doing.

@Steamtyme
Congrats on your win mate, well played and deserved, you have shown the consistency

Thanks. See you in the next series

Congrats @Steamtyme on totally deserved 1st place!
Thank you, and well played yourself. I wish I could have joined in the chat a little more, but the box blocks 2 players and their actions. I really just noticed how annoying that can be on replay when I was re watching one of the other videos. See you in the next series.

Man, you wanted that hat... you got it! Cheesy I have just pm'ed you the link to the store and coupon code!
Thanks buddy. Really appreciate everything you do. Gonna look so cool  Cool Cool Cool

@tyKiwanuka in case I haven't said it thank you as well, I appreciate the time you've taken to keep spreadsheets up to date and people informed/taken care of.

Atleast you won the series and won that big btc ticket. Pffttt, Actually Im still salty that my pair K lose to your three Queen yesterday  Cheesy. I was really happy when I got pair K in my hands and thought that this is the moment for me to turn everything back.

I was damn happy when We went all in and I saw that you only have pair Queen but boom the third Queen shows up on the table. My soul literally left my body for like 2 seconds the moment that happened  Wink

PS : Congratulations , you totally deserved it and also Say hi to your daughter mate  Smiley

Thanks for all the praise my way for keeping a simple spreadsheet up to date. It's not that much work in the end, once the sheet is set up properly Cheesy efialtis has 90% of all work and we can be happy to have such a good networker as our host, who is always able get us some extra prizes.

-

Congrats to SteamTyme, FOMA777 and 1r0n1c. After Iv4n was doing so well in the early stages, he was my favourite to win. There are certain people in this series, who are very good frontrunners and everyone is doomed once they sit on a heap of chips, but not this time. Iv4n is the only player to qualify for both Grand Finals btw.

CCwatcher420 has been one of the most consistent players throughout both series and is one of the last seven standing to play every tournament, but still never got a penny back in prize money. Other regular players, that never got something in return are jayce and cygan; webtricks never cashed in the regular tournaments, but got 3rd place in small final in Series 1.

It looks rough but that is poker. Not always fair but should be always fun Smiley at least for me. My results swing wildly from very good to very bad, there is no middle ground for me. I am either out among the first players or do well. That is one of the things I have to work on if I intend to play with the big boys. Overall quality of the poker among forum members is growing steadily so it will only get harder.

I have to work on my early game while they have to work on the late game. Maybe I'll ask FOMA to coach me a bit on getting back into the game after loosing a significant portion of the chips Smiley

Wind in my back! Thank you for this kind words, I hope we will play in next finals together! Yesterday I was on beer, that mess things up always, I should stick with wine, like today! Smiley Anyway, reading this make me feel nice, I plan to play in next grand final! Just to say Foma paid those 2 ladies, but I saw it as my hand! I thought everyone will fold, but even with those two ladies I had that out, we could see that ace and that would make entire game completely different! Smiley

Good series! And I am in the next series for sure! We had a good time playing and talking! Steamtyme and Foma had a great finale, I watched them and Steamtyme had that advantage from the start, nobody could move him from the first place, must be the hat he wanted! Smiley

People lets have another great series! I wait for updates from Efi, and I expect to see some people once again! Smiley I like to play poker with you people!!! Smiley

I would love to join but I am more a organizer myself and not a great poker player, if I ever joined I would lose in the first table most probably, unless somehow I get some awesome cards and you get some awesome but not as good cards and just happen to win, otherwise I am out as one of the first people out there.

I follow this place and constantly check it and even try to catch the games if I can only because I love organizing stuff like this myself, it is like a sports player watching some other sports match on his free time, just happen to be entertaining for me to see what is going on and what people likes and not likes and what could be better or what is being done much better than I can think of etc etc. But, since it is not that much money, maybe I will join eventually.

My soul literally left my body for like 2 seconds the moment that happened  Wink

PS : Congratulations , you totally deserved it and also Say hi to your daughter mate  Smiley
Glad it found it's way back. Yeah those spots are gut wrenching. Funny about that my daughter kept wanting to type so I put that she said "Hi'  she ran away embarrassed  Grin

It looks rough but that is poker. Not always fair but should be always fun Smiley
Truer words have never been spoken

I just posted the video here.

Congratulations Steamtyme, FOMA777 and 1r0n1c to win the second series. You three have played really good poker and I hope you've been back in the next series.  Wink

bumping for visibility: Bitcointalk Poker Series format discussion

we need some more input and consensus around changes, otherwise i guess the format will stay the same, aside from scrapping late registration.

Confirmed(looks so good), and the hat has been ordered. I've received access to the entirety of the prizepool at this point. Thanks again.
In future anyone wondering about credited tickets it has an expiry of 2022/01/01, I'm sure I'll find the time.

Wait we have shirts. I would definitely rep something like that... though I'm sure a final like that is far off firmly in dreamland.

I am torn. I wasn't sure if I'd have the ticket for this Sunday so when I saw the other large guarantee tournament running I jumped in that. I'll weigh my options and might just play both.
