Do you have any plans to add filters to the search function? I'd like to be able to specify the boards and also limit the search to the topic subjects only (I realize that you don't have titles stored for all posts).

Yes! That's possible and not hard to do. I will add to the TODO list and implement it when I have some extra time. Lately, I have been extra busy, so I almost didn't work in the bot or even posted a lot here.

@TryNinja Today, I got two notifications for the same post(link). As you can see in the post, Juggy quoted one of my posts and also mentioned my @username. So I just want to know if someone quotes you multiple times, will I be notified multiple times? Or it's just a glitch?
Btw, Thanks for the bot. I have been using the bot since last month, it's very helpful.

No. You only get notified once per post regardless of how many times he quotes or mentions you.

Update: I just changed how the bot scrapes new merits. With every new user, the maximum time used to increase by 5 seconds to everyone, meaning that 97 users (current count), could make each merit notification take from 1 second to 16 minutes.

Now, all merits should take from 1 second to 15 seconds even if 100 new users start using the bot. Thanks to Loyce for his idea/solution.

This is not a problem to me as I can click on the hyperlink text to get myself directed on that certain thread. But I just want to report something strange happened to me.

This happened because in his original post, he made a mistake and put his message inside a quote. The bot removes all quotes before sending the notification, so the post appeared empty.

Has anyone experience some glitches like this too? I think it happened twice on me already that the notification got doubled for merit received. I know sometime that users were got error due to connection and accidentally double send their smerits but I think is one is on bot this time.

This probably happened because the database lagged and the bot didn't succeed on marking the merit as "notified" before the next "merit check" 5 seconds later. That should be fixed now. Thanks!

You only get notified if your username or alternative username is found in the post (with or without @, comma, period, ellipsis, question mark, etc...). But this is an interesting idea. I already ask for the user's UID, so that should be easy to implement. Would anyone want this?

Thanks for develop this superb bot. I’ve been having a problem tracking notifications from BTT. Well, with this - I know I’d have lesser worries. Most importantly I set up a notification for new merits. No better news.

I can say this will be useful though. Since it can be implemented right away, I found it useful to some who people who loves to collate information or used the profile for some important matter.

For example some signature campaign notifying the acceptance of the participants by mentioning their profile instead of quoting their post or informing their username via thread like this.

Update: Deleted posts notification! Suggested by @LoyceV here.

You can now choose to get a notification when a post you made vanishes because its parent thread got deleted. The notification will also have a link to a copy/archive of your original post (only the unedited original version, since I can't re-scrape posts to keep them updated).

- You will get a notification if you post in the thread X and the same thread gets deleted by a mod later.
- You will NOT get a notification if your post was manually deleted by a mod. The forum already PM's you about this.

Everybody has this option disabled by default. To enable it, just go to "Notifications" in the menu, and click "Enable Deleted Posts". If you can't see this option, run /menu and check again.

As explained by Loyce in his suggestion post, you will not get a notification if the author of the thread gets nuked OR if your post gets deleted by an user in his self-moderated thread. This is ONLY for when a mod manually deletes the whole thread and your post gets deleted in the process, which isn't notified by the forum.

Good question. I didn't think about this. Right now, you would get a notification for every post you made in the thread. I can see this being an potential issue if you made tens of posts in the thread, so I will think of a better solution.
