As I thought, quite a few of newbie/Jr member account  can be found being active in both of those threads, just confirming what I suspected that they hired someone to spam in their topic.  CryptoNight is one more project whose ANN  qualified to be added to  list of ANN threads that are using bumping services .

I think already enough give him a suggestion since we already have a bunch of suggestions from different people at this thread and a lot of thread "How getting a merits".

If you look at his history post, he already backs to his habits to the social media bounty hunter so maybe he will not responding anymore since he already got 1 merits for the bounty. Also he have a few alt accounts and using them for the bounty, so basically he already aware of the forum.

OP registered about 1.5 years ago and only has 15 posts--that might be part of the problem.  On the other hand, I bet he's got more accounts than just this one.

I am asking because few days ago I reported such thread to mods, and so far it is still unhandled. Another user made thread about it in scam accusation board as well

Regarding the rule against giveaways, isn't this the one, directly from theymos?

Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.

Yep, they simply won't give up, for some reason. Anyone reasonable would realize that what they are trying to do is not working, or maybe they paid for a full month of that service, and those spammers will keep on no matter what. I reported at least 200 of their posts in the last week or so, and they kept churning out new ones. They stopped for a few days now, but somehow I doubt that they won't start again when they think that no one is keeping an eye on their thread.

I was a little bit off then with my guesstimate for reported posts, felt like there were more of them. Kudos to those "marketing agencies " that are still managing to sell something ineffective as thread bumping is. I know that ICObench and some other trackers are giving score based on bitcointalk ANN activity, maybe they are aiming for that?

When you are out of the forum for a while you loose the grip and you start forgetting things (maybe the lack of sleep is also a factor or just the way you are getting old)
I have newbies at work I'm training for about a month now, hopefully I get some free time to dive again in what I like to do, before I go on the parenting leave. Then I'll be off for a while I think.

The thread is down to 2 and 1/2 pages now -- most of the spam has been removed. Its an awful shitcoin with no redeeming features but not a scam. From the quote you posted from theymos, it sounds like locking the topic only applies to threads specifically pertaining to a giveaway.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads.

Also, it could be argued that because the dev is only rewarding people for making "constructive posts", its a bit better than "insubstantial posts"... IDK... In any event, absolutely nobody joined, could be because of my threats to tag their accounts, LOL.

Also, it could be argued that because the dev is only rewarding people for making "constructive posts", its a bit better than "insubstantial posts"... IDK... In any event, absolutely nobody joined, could be because of my threats to tag their accounts, LOL.

I tried to report all new posts on that Pyrk ANN, and to keep your warning post  to be among last posts so other can see what is going on. LoyceV can give exact number how many posts were deleted there, but based from my post history, I reported at least 80-90 posts, that i can see.

Regarding those giveaways threads being locked/deleted, how come this thread has been deleted, and the others not? Not sure what to do exaclty next time when I come across such threads, report it or not?

When you are out of the forum for a while you loose the grip and you start forgetting things (maybe the lack of sleep is also a factor or just the way you are getting old)
I have newbies at work I'm training for about a month now, hopefully I get some free time to dive again in what I like to do, before I go on the parenting leave. Then I'll be off for a while I think.

No one can report these shitposts all the time (except maybe Lafu, based on his amount of reported posts ) occasional break is healthy and needed I think.

Jockjolys posting an obvious Ponzi scam, although scam is not regulated I suspect Jockjolys is an alt of Joniswad which was banned yesterday posting the same thing in Bitcoin discussion(reference below).
