Hello

I've built groestlcoin-qt from official git https:// github.com/groestlcoin/groestlcoin
at first launch the wallet asks about the directory (custom/default) and then says: core dumped.
I'm starting it again from src/qt folder and I'm getting "core dumped" again with a message "log region size must be >= 130000".
What to do?
The compilation was without any errors at first time Smiley

Need more info. You built on Linux, Mac or Windows?
If Linux, which distro?

Mint, newest.

Bitcoin's price on Groestl's birthday? 1000-GRS prize

http://groestlcoin.org/forum/index.php?topic=477.msg1651#msg1651

And . . . amazing conversation with 'Sabretooth' last night: we're now talking about European crypto adoption -- after the Euro ceases to be -- simply bypassing Bitcoin!

This would obviously be very good news for all other good established cryptos. Folks will 'come in' straight from fiat. Bitcoin is struuuuuuuggggling with its unconfirmed transactions:

I don’t hope for a stratospheric spike in GRS’s price (followed inevitably by a catastrophic unspike . . . ). How will that help us achieve our goal, a cryptographic currency attractive to millions?

Note Vlad’s Twitter: https://medium.com/@Vlad_Zamfir/about-my-tweet-from-yesterday-dcc61915b572#.pmxgsx93r
We aren’t ragging on ETH here, merely discussing our goals. Ethereum holds great potential – I own a swag of them – but we’ve been repeatedly warned: Eth is fragile, an experiment. Not really a currency.

And note here: ' . . . Fenton, a board member at the Bitcoin Foundation, contended that 95% node consensus – the threshold required for network adoption of SegWit – will be extremely difficult, if not impossible.'

 http://www.coindesk.com/roger-ver-bets-segwit-bitcoin-upgrade-anarchapulco/

The notion that Bitcoin is now a ‘digital gold’ – rare but hard to move – is now mainstream: not a currency!

And meanwhile the capital just keeps on rolling in, as the global financial situation deteriorates. I recall when the term ‘P.I.I.G.S.’ was first used. Us libertarians were called loonies and alarmists. Now, a half a decade later . . . true or false:

Italy has the 8th largest economy in the world, but is kept from collapse only by the ECB’s purchases of its debt?

tl;dr: there is much more money to be made from a crypto by making it a stable platform, and leveraging commercial enterprises from that platform.

I'm steadily and politely co-ordinating a little promotion across a range of sites. If you can't help, don't hinder.

IMHO, a small suite of high-volume-low-spread trading-pairs is optimal.

Just found this on Cryptopia:

'Notice: Due to low volume the DOT, XMR, UNO and FTC base markets will be closing on 10/03, please cancel any open orders.'

Nice tight spread on the BTC-GRS pair!

' . . . some analysts and traders have speculated that bitcoin markets could rise as a result, although considering the recent ramp in BTC’s price in recent weeks, the news may have been priced in and holders may instead sell the news.'

Okay!! I will update the Groestl.org site and Reddit Groestl sites forthwith. Readers can post their Guesses here or there.

What price will Bitcoin and GRS be on March 22?

[A Bit of Rules? There are a couple of penny prizes. And shall Jackie be the arbiter? using Coinmarketcap's price on the morning of the 22nd? And GRS's price? The ask price on Bittrex at the same time?]

GRS's Price IMZ offers a one-thousand GRS price (but he's not allowed to win)

IMZ: wait!

exemplaar: 340 satoshi

Bitcoin's Price

B.N. calls '$0.' '$700 some time this year; but for mid-March, $1337.'

Sabretooth calls 'lower than people think. Big buy-in opportunity in coming months.'

IMZ: new guess, me -- $800?
but I can't play anymore 'cause there's a tiny prize up for grabs -- but may I note that my eight hundred came from assuming a drop in a Bitcoin price that has risen rather more than I thought it would!

Some Guy Named 'Bogart': 'not slump more than 10%' [ http://www.etf.com/sections/features-and-news/bitcoin-etfs-dummies?nopaging=1 ]

jwinterm: $1800

jackie: $900

Rat (a Tux Exchange dev): $1000

mini (another Tux dev): $1600 or better

doc: $1503

sphericon $1750

Eddie13: $713.13

jamesm225: $2000 (provisional guess -- watch this space)
