Greetings, friends at Groestlcoin! Now that Komodo Platform has a stable GUI available on mainnet for our BarterDEX decentralized exchange, allowing the average user to trade peer-to-peer via atomic swap with 80+ Bitcoin-protocol cryptocurrencies, we aim to expand the reach of our decentralized and open-source solutions and unite the coin communites - - ATOMIC Swap trading following Noel Tiernan's protocol
- Control your own funds, maximizing security and privacy
- Automatic orderbook matching, trading p2p
- Integrate and List your coin for free
- Set up SPV electrum server, allowing users to trade your coin without downloading the entire blockchain
- Anyone can become a market maker or dedicated liquidity provider, pairing your coin with any other 80+ featured coin and allowing traders around the globe to access your coin
- Native trade bots can automatically buy low and sell high, allowing low and high volume traders to provide liqudity 24 hours a day
>> BarterDEX protocol ( wp/ git) >> The following requirements are necessary for an easy integration: - bitcoin protocol
- CLTV (bip 65) support
- gettxout and importaddress rpc calls
- and 8 digits for one coin
What does a non-Bitcoin/zCash-protocl coin need to do to make atomic swaps possible on BarterDEX? "the code to do all this is quite complicated and I assumed a bitcoin protocol coin, but it is possible to do the atomic swaps even if only 2of2 multisig is supported. So i guess a bitcoin protocol emulator for the subset of rpc calls that I use and at least a 2of2 multisig, but preferably CLTV mechanism to be able to handle both sides of the trade... this would require making changes to the existing barterDEX code, unless the bitcoin protocol emulator is really, really good and it actually works as a bitcoin protocol coin via rpc calls" Our goal is to integrate as many cryptocurrencies into our ecosystem as possible, providing end-users with unparalleled privacy and control of their funds! The developers of Komodo Platform would be more than happy to assist with integration into the ecosystem. Please send me a DM if you are interested in joining our decentralized exchange!P.s. Check out the demand on this reddit post

I'm not sure what is going on behind the scenes already, but I just read up a bit on atomic swaps, and that sounds awesome. I know GRS is technologically already quite advanced, and enabling atomic swaps would be great for exposure...

I just find it weird that such a great coin is not receiving the attention it deserves in my view...
The developers need to step up to the plate and put more effort into marketing. They owe it to their investors to raise awareness about their coin. It's not our job to do that. If they aren't willing to do this, then that tells me they aren't serious about making this thing grow. I also believe the name needs to be changed. Names are important when it comes to branding. A good brand name can make a big difference in getting attention. The more attention a brand gets, the better the chances are for its growth. The developers need to step up to the plate and put less effort into marketing. They owe it to their uninvestors to lower awareness about their coin. It's not our job to do that. If they aren't willing to do this, then that tells me they aren't serious about making this thing grow. I expect the devs to let the price fall, because I want to invest as cheap as possible. Ignore cvdesty, this troll.

That is great! Is this actually live right now, or still in testing? I looked at barterdex.com and it says "Get Notified When It Comes Online".

Yes! A message to reddit makes you think about what do we need rebranding? It would not have happened "like the best, but it turned out worse"

Groestlcoin (GRS) Price Recovers Back to $1: Here’s All You Need to Know Groestlcoin (GRS) dropped to around $0.64 last week, but has since recovered and reached $1 again. Here's all you need to know about this coin. Groestlcoin is a multifunctional cryptocurrency that boasts several top features that make it a really promising alt coin going into 2018. Currently priced at just $1.02, and with a modest total supply of 105,000,000 this coin has managed to remain under the radar for quite some time now. However, since it’s recent adoption in South Korea, the coin appears to be growing in popularity, as the trading pair GRS/KRW accounts for over 60% of its total 24hr traded volume. https://cryptovest.com/news/groestlcoin-grs-price-recovers-back-to-1-heres-all-you-need-to-know/

NO need for a ReBrand, that will set us back 2 years in addition of risk of getting delisted of some exchanges. Just call it GRS and lets stick to that!

The risk of being de-listed from exchanges is a strong reason to just stick with 'GRS.'

Yeah, I agree with the reasoning against a full rebranding, but as mentioned I think focusing on "GRS" instead of the full Groestlcoin might be a good idea

I also think rebranding is not necessary. It is a good coin and if the development team continues with their good work, the success will come. The rebranding might help with marketing, but there are other ways to make this coin more community aware as well..

is there any risk of de-listed from bittrex? GRS has more than 100BTC volume per day on Bittrex, so that won't be a reason for delisting. I GRS were to change its name completely, that would be a different story, but that's why people are speaking against rebranding.
