Interesting, I'll see if I can instamine this  Cool

What the hell is this?

INFO: Premined 0.28769523809%

Dev: Please tell me you don't keep any of the premine for yourself.

Dev: what are your other bitcointalk usernames?

I find this hilarious, if i read it right.

"Interesting, I'll see if I can instamine this"
then you say "Dev: Please tell me you don't keep any of the premine for yourself."

A premine is essential if a dev doesnt mine, for example. But why would he work for free while you instamine?

The miner released by phm listed in post earlier in thread is getting about 5MH on GCN cards.  Difficulty exploding.

Well the dev should make public what is premined. There was no mention the dev would keep a premine. And everyone had the opportunity to instamine at the beginning. Including the dev. Sadly, I didn't get set up in time.

With the optimized miner I'm getting about 160kh/s per core, so an average GPU is "only" 3-5 times faster than a an average CPU. To me that almost counts as CPU friendly, if CPU miner could be optimized enough to make it 2x current speed would be perfect Smiley

I fixed the issue I was having, and now my miner is mining on my pool. I'll finish it up and give everyone access to my pool once I find shares and they are accepted  Wink

If you're wondering what the issue was, it was that stratum-mining was having issues decoding the addresses of Groestlcoin.. checksums did not match, so I had to remove the checksum code. It took FOREVER to figure out, so thank you for you patience.

EDIT: found shares, I'll open my pool up for testing soon, we'll see if we can find a block. If we can, then I'll say it's ready!
