I have 274,000 confirmed GRS. Is that normal?
How and where ?

This is my address: FgEba5xegAroUxJZ3gfyeyX47Q6mhxhska

EDIT: Now its 283,000 GRS

what do you see in transactions ?
You seem surprised : you do not actually find the blocs ?

It's all from CPU mining. I thought it was a bit odd that I was getting so much from just my CPU.

I now have 304,000 GRS. If anyone's interested, I WTS 250,000 GRS.

can you report about hashrate on nvidia gpu?

shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttt!! sended coins for SCAMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!((((((((((((((((((((((((

co-author of ccminer and author of cudaminer here. Chris84 adapted
the Heavycoin groestl512 implementation for groestlcoin last night and today.

Code:
[2014-03-23 14:40:28] 6 miner threads started, using 'groestl' algorithm.
[2014-03-23 15:27:44] accepted: 1/1 (100.00%), 19931 khash/s (yay!!!)
[2014-03-23 18:21:19] accepted: 2/2 (100.00%), 19604 khash/s (yay!!!)
[2014-03-23 19:48:17] accepted: 3/3 (100.00%), 18761 khash/s (yay!!!)
[2014-03-23 21:46:32] accepted: 4/4 (100.00%), 20065 khash/s (yay!!!)

this is for 3 ASUS ROG MARS cards, so divide the 20 MHash/s by 6 to get
the hash rate for a single GTX 760 core.

NOTE: we split the bounty 50:50, as we do for every donation or bounty
we get for the ccminer project.

Note sure how to take the scammer comment, ccminer is definitely working
and not a scam - although it is not as polished as cudaminer. Some new coins
have a 24 hour turnaround time when we add them to ccminer.

maybe someone can implement this idea of optimizations cpu-miner https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=519138.msg5763431#msg5763431 ?

This is very interesting, if really CPU miner could get 3x-5x times faster it would mean that this coin is more profitable to be mined with CPU, not sure if that's possible with groestl.

completely odd. I mined for the first 6 hours and i only find 4 blocs. And i have some power available.
What cpus are you using?

EDIT: for information, using a dual-xeon E2687W with 30 thread give...4.5MH/s
a single R9 280x give me almost 7 MH/s

so, unless you are using a botnet, i don't understand how you can mine 300K with cpus

I guess you are mining your own fork of the blockchain, since your balance is 0 here: http://agran.net/grs_getbalance.php?addr=FgEba5xegAroUxJZ3gfyeyX47Q6mhxhska

Unfortunately you can't use this approach with GroestlCoin, because nonce is present in input data for the first groestl512 hash.

Is this normal that the difficulty changes so much from block to block ?
I mean in ten block or so it goes from 31 to 49 (in several steps) then back in few blocks to 39...

Curious if anyone has solo mined a block with gpu miner ?
I got it to build , about 5.21 mh/s on 7970 but watching in debug mode it looks a little odd. Not to mention the gpu is at 54 C.

I am no expert at porting cpu mining to a gpu, can anyone confirm they actually hit a block ?
My settings -g 4 -I 20 -w 264
Any suggestions ?

Low temperatures are normal since groestl does a lot of random memory accesses, GPU cores are sitting idle during this. This morning I was getting blocks every 1-2 hours with my four R9 290, with single card I guess you'll have to wait several hours.
