4 games postponed, and I just came in now realising I already missed 3, BTTS was there for everyone, and a cracker in the Lazio game apparently, 6 goals, 8 cards, what a fest heh. Immobile loves playing. Also couldn't help notice there was 21 in the Spezia game (it's like my mind automatically looks now because of Sportsbet's BJ!). Hope the Milan and Juve games are good, I'm still deciding which to watch and which to sacrifice to make dinner.

Lazio managed to screw me again in same fashion like last time. High scoring game, with incredible come back and then disappointment. Imobile also managed to miss penalty towards the end of the game. This is it, I will not put my money on ML in Italy ever again. Just keeping to both to score, really no value in anything else.

Good luck for your Napoli pick, always love to see Juve dropping points I guess that stayed with me from those times when they were winning all the games and more than half of them with 1:0 result and goal scored after 85th minute.

agree, a shit round for ML in Italy again, except for Milan win, all results are surprises for me
forgot to make my Sorare team due to holidays, and reduced number of players did not expected much, but Milinkovic-Savic made perfect score with two goals and assist, shit happens

Looks like Italians come back after holiday angry and reckless,,, so many yellow and red cards throughout the night with only a few games. And also plenty of goals everywhere, there was not a single team who could not score last night   Of course 3 draws screwed with most of us especially since there were clear favorites in all those draws. This is football!

They had about four matches that were either postponed or cancelled for their national holiday. Thanks goes out to Trofo for letting us all know that was the case of so many matches being played that day.
We have eight matches for tomorrow, so we will see how many are still going to be played or if it will end up just as the previous match day.

I actually had Sassuolo on for a slim win but then changed my mind and went for a dull draw instead and then they go and get that huge win. Still, happy to somehow go for a close score on Milan (I actually even have them on a strange ticket acca that seems to be doing well, so don't want to jinx it further) but Napoli and Atalanta are also ahead already, so looks like the favourites are having a strong start to the new year (why am I jinxing myself??

Indeed, what a round. When I saw Udinese - Atalanta result, I had to check it twice, because I thought it's mistake.
Juve made amazing comeback, from loosing 3:1, to scoring 3 goals in 7 minutes and winning game 3:4.
Now Inter is leading Lazio 2:1 with 10 minutes remaining. If nothing will change, Inter will regain 1st place from Milan.

Roma had everything in their hands in this game. I just watched the second half but that was the one where most of the action happened anywhere. I thought Juve will win this 1:0 and then we get a beauty like this. I can't imagine Mourinho is very happy at the moment, probably crying about some decision and thinking where to go next

Nice round in Italy with lots of goals, if only I did better at the pools can't complain about tickets today. Some nice wins and if Arsenal had it in them it would have been perfect day for me.

It was goals galore in Serie A today with the biggest one being Atalanta slamming the door with a last second goal to make it 6 on the day.
Didn't think Juventus had it in them to come back from a deficit of 3 goals to win it. They aren't known to do that but if it was to happen today was it.
Inter Milano was the disappointing one for me atleast. I had them winning with an over 4.5 goals but they managed to keep the lead after that header from Milan Skriniar to seal the win.

Lazio was on low speed last night, Immobile scored, but that was most from them, Inter is in great series and it will be a local race between them and Milan as it stands now
there is a lot of postponed matches, but top teams are playing and these postponements will mess-up relegation race

Atalanta result was definitely a shocker, especially if you thought that Serie A was not a league for a lot of games. 8 goals and maybe the more shocking thing was that Udinese could score two,,, or in my thinking anyway they should not be able to do that so easily

But of course the best match was reserved for last! Juventus 4 and Roma 3,,, and Roma were already 3-1 at 70th minute. What a game what a league!

Saw Mourinho's face at 3-1, he was trying his best to look angry but you could see his smiles under all that facade... and then once Juventus were ahead, you saw him actually smiling without any pretense. I guess once you let in 3 goals in 7 minutes, and your captain takes a poor penalty after getting a defender sent off, losing the chance to snatch a point, you can't do anything but smile.

I am just reading the news now and this game was labelled the game of the season so far,,, and just as I was saying yesterday that the goals are flowing everywhere in Serie A, these 2 teams serve up a terrific game. Mourinho used to be famous for 1-0 wins and being stingy with attack and defence. Juventus used to be also famous for the same.

And now we have such a scoreline, not to mention Torino scoring 4 goals too, stupid me put Fiorentina 0-1

Torino getting 4-0 on Fiorentina was something nobody would of guessed. I knew them as a high scoring team but not anymore from yesterday giving a clean sheet away to the home side.
One match left today for Cagliari vs Bologna to close out the week of matches so to see who is a top the table in the pool.
I'll need a tie to get above the one who is on top so far. But we will see.

Phew man, Cagliari just saved me here. Think the bookies had just slightly favoured Bologna so I'd gone for 2-0, and then adjusted down to 1 nil to the other side, and then thought, well okay. Scored 8 in last 12 Serie A games, and only 2 in the last game after 3 scoreless ones, let's give them one goal and a draw? So thank you, and no thank you for the injury time winner haha.

Andriy Shevchenko has been sacked by Genoa after just 11 games in charge as manager, the relegation-battling Serie A club announced on Saturday.

The former Ukraine manager signed a deal until 2024 on Nov. 7, but an extra-time defeat against his former club AC Milan in the Coppa Italia on Thursday proved to be the final straw after a dismal run of form.

Even if they say his final chance was the midweek Cup game against Milan, that isn't totally true, they were going to sack him regardless of the outcome. 3 points and 3 goals scored in 9 league matches ain't gonna cut it. I predicted before the start of the season that Genoa would struggle after selling its two top forwards and goal scorers, Scamacca and Shomurodov. Three coaches already this season and a change in ownership equal a textbook relegation season imo.

@morvillz7z, I'm surprised that Genoa gave him so little time. On the other hand, considering how many managers they have changed in recent years. I don't see big chances for Genoa to stay in league, unless something extraordinary will happen.
I loved Shevchenko as player and I liked what he has done with Ukraine national team, but I think that going to club like Genoa was mistake for him.

Didn't even know this happened! Also one of my favourite players this guy, not to mention the memories he helped contribute to us when he was at Milan (he said it gave him literal nightmares for months after though).

I keep thinking why clubs shoot themselves in the foot like this. Unscramble your mentality, put yourself into debt. Only winner is the manager who gets compensation for such a little time investment.
