An irritating start to the championship. Serie A + La Liga = 8 draws out of 10 games. I don’t even know, maybe this is a hint that it’s worth changing your picks and tomorrow this will continue or, on the contrary, the limit of draws has been exhausted and if they are in the picks, then they should be removed  The only good thing is that there was only one goalless draw.

Super annoying for me, thank God Barca managed to win, couldn't believe we had to rely on Lewandowski for both goals, I really have no more hopes this season now, as long as we go far in Champions League, and maybe win the King Cup, there is no way we challenge Real Madrid + Bellingham + Mbappe. wtf lol

Lol not even. I would have bought some local company shared in 2000s. It went for like something like 100x in first 2 or 3 years. Long before Bitcoin. This time I borrowed a big bank loan to start a company and staked all my savings. I lost everything and even today still paying it, now almost 20 years later. Biggest mistake of my life. Pretty awful start for me in the pool so far but it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Very surprised to see Real drop points but you can sometimes get these types of results early in a new season.

On a side not, I enjoyed my first hate watch of the season. Real Sociedad losing, that’s what you get for rejecting Liverpool, Zubimendi.

My round 1 journey ended as first from the last . I'm not disappointed with my predictions, but surprised by the draw of Real Madrid. I'm not really good at making predictions on Superbru football pools. This is just the start of the long journey. Still, I'm not expecting myself to be in the top 10 of this pool at the end of this season.

Good thing about these pools is that surprises like Real loosing points don't really hurt you since everyone if playing odds. Bad thing is that everyone is playing odds and it doesn't really pay to go for surprises.


I think we now have the final numbers in both pools. Everyone has paid and sponsorship money is on the escrow. I am traveling for the weekend so there is no time to do the rewards now, but they will be finalized next week. That still leaves a couple of days for possible stragglers to join before I officially close the pool as well.

Yep, this is the thing about these pools. It only pays to take risks in the tight games, but you really don't want to be picking draws or losses for Real Madrid often in this style of play. The 1 or 1.5 points extra possible, maximum 3, makes sense only in tight games. If they're the favourites, don't bother.

As I made my prediction like Sevilla to defeat Villarreal by 2-1, I got excited when there was a goal notification popped up on Flashscore in the 90+5th minute. However I realized that Villarreal were the team to score the goal and it caused me to have a disappointment for a short time. Even though it is just the beginning of the season, I started the La Liga pool really terrible in which I won a prize last year.

The shittiest thing about all these pools is I'm placed the highest in the pool I know the least about. Same as last season my best placing was for Serie A, lol. More I think about more this pools are pure psychology. Just a lot of us give up when we are down and put in dumb scores. Draws seem to be quite popular this round of early games everywhere I noticed.

But Barca got another tough win, Olmo should be back soon, we are almost past a tricky start.

Season 2024-2025 rewards structure:
1. Place - 27 mBTC (fees are paid from this prize)
2. Place - 13 mBTC
3. Place - 9 mBTC
4. Place - 7 mBTC
5. Place - 5,5 mBTC
Highest overall yellow cap - 5,5 mBTC

There is no reserve for fees so first place will sponsor our transaction. Fee will be set to confirm inside 5 blocks. In case fees stay like they are now that isn't important but if we get some crazy situations and overall fee gets over 1 mBTC I will spread it over other rewards as well proportionally. I never consolidated inputs before but if you think that is something you want me to do, let me know.

Did anyone watched Villarreal - Celta yesterday? It's just 3rd round, but already now we had one of best games this season. It ended 4:3 with Villarreal win. My bet on Yellow Submarines ML was saved only on 100th minute when Parejo missed penalty, but scored from 2nd attempt.
Now waiting for Rayo - Barca game. Finally they were able to register Dani Olmo. In first two games Barca had probably youngest bench in history with most players being 20-21 years old or even younger.
After midweek round there is one more round on weekend and then we will go into first international break this season :/
