Didn't watched game, but when I saw that they scored last minute penalty I wasn't surprised at all. Not saying that there was no penalty or not, didn't even saw moment, but taking wins in such way is in their DNA.
Back to Barca game, I can't remember game with so many wasted moments. 6.5 xG is one of highest numbers that you can see, but it feels like there was moments for like 8 goals. Until Rashford scored 3rd goal we were playing with fire.
Enjoyed watching Basque derby yesterday. Athletic managed to avoid loss, but it feels like both teams weren't happy about final result.

I know Sevilla are the bedshitters in La Liga (arguably only less shitty than Valencia and Girona somehow), so them conceding to Mallorca wasn't a surprise. Only thing, they're in BSFL and I've seen the odds, but which direction does one go when dealing with two teams in need of severely oversized nappies? Even when they are probably at one of their worst moments in past 5 years yes their DNA never dies, and this is why I'm surprised they have not made it into top 5 favorites of CL.

In fact, when I answered that H2H, I looked at the wrong fixture (the one tonight in the cup, where Betis is hosting Atletico). The one in question is actually the same team fixtures, but in La Liga. The question clarified it, of course, but I only looked quickly and thought Betis would be the home team. Still. Wouldn't have done much to change my answer. Now gotta hope Atletico dries up after putting five (so far) against Betis...

Had big expectations before the game, not that Betis will kick out Atletico or something, but simply that it will be great game. But we got on way action. Now Barca - Atletico and Basque derby in semifinals - sounds exciting. I think I don't have to remind how Barca - Atletico semifinal looked last year.

Yes, Atletico Madrid did grow some balls indeed, but after an easy match against Real Betis, they'll be up against Barcelona in the semifinals of the Copa Del Rey, that's going to be a completely different ball game, and they might have to do better than they did against Real Betis if they want to book a spot in finals. It's not as though they'll be going into fixture as an heavy underdog, but I don't think the odds will be a super close one.

Hopefully many distractions means different results for Betis because they are also performing quite bad and now have one less contest to worry about.

It's not as though they'll be going into fixture as an heavy underdog, but I don't think the odds will be a super close one.

The five goals scored was a surprise to me, I never expected Atletico Madrid to score as much as five goals against Real Betis because they are not as small as expected, they are also a big team as far as Laliga is concerned so it’s surprising to see five goals.
Ademola Lookman that just scored one goal in his first appearance as Atletico Madrid player, he has earned respect from his new club, the fans were happy with him and I believe he is going to perform well in the club because he is used to that pattern of football.

A fantastic match man, Atletico led the way in a 5-0 win over Real Betis in the quarter final of the Copa del Rey with goals from Hanko, Simeone, Lukman on his debut, Griezmann and Almada to reach the semi final. It was a remarkable performance against a good Betis side and not what most people expected!

Rayo match was called off at the last minute because the Vallecas ground was declared unsafe even after attempt were made to change the turf and that could seriously affect the relegation battle further down the table

And Sevilla vs Girona was also hit by bad weather due to the Andalusian storm so safety was a top priority in both match. Barca are looking strong with Bernal and Lewandowski contributing in their last game so everything is starting to look wild now
