Two relegation zone teams will face each other this week and I'm pretty sure one of them will get their first win of the season. The match will bring Lyon vs Clermont together and as we know both teams are very down and have only drawn and lost so far. Even though last season these two teams were quite fine, entrenched in the middle of the table, unforeseen circumstances must always be faced by teams that fail to maintain stability.

Maybe Lyon will be favored to win because they are the hosts and I don't think that is a strong reason for Lyon at this time because they still get bad results. I'm still waiting for Lyon's comeback moment with their first win and if they can do it in this match without any obstacles, then I'm pretty sure they will be a little better in the next match. No doubt if the team would be banning the players who are not having same opinion regarding LGBTQ. I meant they have freedom to express what they agreed or disagreed. That proves that if the club was harshly against someone who is not in the same way with it.

I remember that if idrissa gueye was not even willing to wear the rainbow shirt last season. It sounds no sense how the owner is supporting it. Banning players from not supporting what they have agreed with is a big shame.

The current odds for the Ligue 1 title are as follows:

Everything is clear here and, in my opinion, even 1.20 is a favorable coefficient (at least it looks more reliable and more profitable than depositing in a bank hahaha). I'm talking about PSG's prospects in the Champions League - if they are lucky with their opponents, they can climb very high (like Inter last year or any other team from the "easy" part of the playoffs).

Betting on the teams like Marseille is actually a death wish because they are not in a good situation at all and they are just waiting to see the Saudis buy thing teams and make a better team in the next season otherwise Marseille will not have a chance to win the title in this season. Also, Monaco has always unstable team and I think the best we can do about this is to take less risk and just bet on PSG because hoping for a miracle is not a wise move in this league.

I think by looking at the current situation with Mbappe renewing the contract but with some rumors saying that he will leave next season because this is part of their 1-season contract deal this actually indicates that Mbappe will leave regardless of anything he will not stay at PSG.
He has good potential for his development especially with his current young age so he has a lot of hope to develop and indeed this will not be able to get in Ligue 1 even if he is at PSG.
There must be a bigger competition than Ligue 1 to make him develop more because even though Ligue 1 is one of the best competitions in Europe but its prestige is still less than La Liga or EPL so indeed Mbappe will not be able to develop further.

It's so suprising how lyon that used to be one of the best performing team in the Ligue one to one of the weakest teams currently and are even in the relegation zone,  if care is not taken they might even be relegated cause they've only managed to get 3 points out of 8 games with any win, how have the mighty fallen,  well I'm not very sure what's the reason for their poor performance but I feel it might be either lack of proper investment on good players or maybe the coach is incompetent in handling the club.
 
 If they don't act fast to tackle the situation before it gets out of hand then I don't think they'll escape relegation this season and it would be very bad to watch a team that's supposed to be in the top 4 currently being relegated, the board have to strategise on improving the team by carrying out investigations concerning their current poor performance.

I think this will be his last season at les parisiens, following with the recent happenings where he refused to renew or extend his contract with the team, and there have been speculations about bigger teams in Europe indicating interest in him, one of which is Real Madrid who is willing to pay better wage as compared to that which he currently gets.

Mbappe would see better opportunities to win trophies and better his career outside PSG, his presence in Madrid will be more impactful than it is now at PSG, he is a young talented player who shouldn't continually bee in a place that keeps hiding his talent and make him not shine enough to get to the peak of his care, he has made name for him self already in the whole of the french league, trying elsewhere to shine wouldn't be a bad idea at all, I'm strongly in support of the idea he leaves the Ligue 1.

It would take a miracle for Mbappé to remain at PSG next season, they managed to try convincing him to sign an extension till next summer but I doubt if he'll accept another contract extension no matter the offer on ground and I agree with your opinion cause he might probably leave as a free agent or even terminate his contract with the team, cause Mbappé has a strong desire to win the Ballon D'or and Champions League and he knows it would be very difficult to achieve that in PSG, moving out is the only option he has to achieve those.

There must be a lot of things to be done in lyon to save the club from being relegated. The club needs to actively buying the players to strengthen its club during the winter transfer season. There is also another thing like changing its coach and management. The coach being so clueless and he didn't even know what he was doing. I see the mentality of this club is going further and further back by the week.
Lyong needs to change a lot of things in the club or it will be playing in the lower division in the upcoming season. There's no need to mention the name of league but this club played even badly compared with last season.
I don't know what such huge decline is happening to this club.

Al Hilal was offering Mbappe £605m (€700m) salary and on top of that they were ready to pay PSG 300 million euros as a transfer fee. However, I don't really understand whether the sheikhs who own PSG have an interest to compete with the Saudi sheikhs who are trying to improve their domestic league. I think it must be crazy to be a great footballer these days. When you think back about the top players at the early 2000s or even in the 90s, they probably must be crying if they see the sums that are paid these days. For just one year, holy this is crazy. And it can't be sustainable I thin because other players will adjust their requirements as well if they see these kind of deals.

That transfer did not happen in the summer because of many reasons that I believe did not only come from Mbappe. PSG did not want to lose him too and the player probably was fluctuating between leaving and staying in PSG and Europe. He even wanted a lot, chance to join Real Madrid, opportunity to maximize his salary in Real Madrid too.

He did not only care of money but also titles and wanted to achieve many things at the same time. Saudi Professional League can help him earn money but again he also wanted to play in Europe to prepare for Euro 2024. So many barriers that did not make the superb transfer of Mbappe to Saudi Professional League to happen. It's the past story and I believe we will return with a similar story in future.

Mbappe does not covet huge sums of money, nor is he focused solely on his career, he is at the mid-level. PSG pay Mbappe a huge annual salary that he probably wouldn't get if he went to Real Madrid, which is why every season the transfer market ends with drama between Mbappe and Real Madrid. Mbappé at this age should fully focus on his career, when he can take his career to the level of Ronaldo and Messi then he won't have to worry about money, the money will come to him.

Mbappe is probably the best paid sports professional outside of Saudi Arabia. Stating that he doesn't covet huge sums of money has already been proven wrong. No football player has ever received more than Mbappe. He got a huge lump sum and a loyalty bonus for every single year he stayed with PSG. Money was the sole reason why he signed an extensive contract with PSG. He earns around 20% of the entire PSG payroll. If that doesn't mean he covets huge sums of money, then what else could mean it...

But he wanted more money. He didn't want to forego his loyalty bonus of I think around $100 million or so and he was trying to get a deal with Real Madrid that would have made him as much money. Lyon's performance is very disappointing. Their achievement is only 3 points in 8 matches. The team could not win even one of the 8 matches. I don't think the Lyon team is weak. I have seen good performances from this team in past seasons. But their performance has been very poor since the beginning of this season. And the main reason for their poor performance is their poor defense. They conceded 16 goals in 8 matches. Lyon have one of the weakest defenses in Ligue 1.

Clermont's situation isn't much better either. The last team in the table is now Clermont. Lyon vs Clermont match is more likely to be a draw. The reason is that both parties are weak. And so no team wants to lose points. They will be happy to get 1 point from this match.
