Lens appeared dominant when playing away in week 17, their success in defeating Toulouse with a convincing score of 3-0 further emphasized Lens status as one of the strong candidates (besides PSG) to win the Ligue 1 trophy, now Lens is four points ahead of PSG who have only played 16 matches. The strong determination and cohesiveness of the players in maintaining balance in every game has made Lens a strong challenger for PSG. It is clear that PSG must try harder if they do not want their dominance to collapse this season.
The only advantage Lens has is having a flexible match schedule, they only focus on Ligue 1 and the players are not too tired because they get enough rest.

Lens were also this incredible in the 2022/23 season where they finished the season with just one point behind eventual winners Paris Saint Germaine. This season, they seem to mean business more than they've ever been and are targeting a place better than they finished in the 2022/23 season but looking at the reality on ground, I doubt that they'll be able to achieve their aim.
The quality of the Paris Saint Germaine team I personally think is just too formidable for Lens to win the league ahead of them. I'm enjoying the fact that the French League is enjoying some kind of strong competition but doubts if we'll see a new winner of the league at the end of the season

I also fully agree with you, the fact of having PSG on a diet is already a problem for them, it's clear that these guys can do very well and they know they can do it in the shortest possible time, if they hadn't had a team like PSG against them they would surely have been able to think about winning the championship

Statistically PSG will still win the Ligue 1 title. They excel in every aspect, from player quality to coaching making it easier for them to maintain consistency and ultimately overtake Lens at the top. But in football we must allow for miracles because sometimes the unexpected can happen.

Lens has performed better this season and put up a serious fight against PSG putting them one point ahead. Lens are currently playing against Toulouse just 20 minutes into the first half. Lens is constantly attacking and seems to be looking for an early goal. Lens has dominated the game so far and has made several attempts to break through Toulouse's goal but has failed. I believe with the spirit displayed by Lens they will win this match. We'll see if Lens can maintain their top spot until the end.
