Many people were already screaming happily when the match was over after I saw it clearly, big smiles were seen but indeed Goncalo Ramos became a curse in this match which made Marseille have to accept the end of the match with a score of 2-2, who would have thought it would happen like that and had to end with a penalty shootout, Marseille chose the wrong player to execute their penalty in this final, and it was very embarrassing in my opinion because it was in the championship final.

While previous seasons of Ligue 1 felt boring, this season is a bit different. Lens has surprisingly impressed consistently winning matches putting them one point ahead of PSG in the standings.

They (RC Lens) have been at the top of the Ligue 1 table since matchday #14, which was when they beat Angers at the Stade Raymond Kopa. I personally don't believe they can stay solid until the end of the season, we all know how this farmer league will end, right?

They indeed played a wonderful game but the time I thought that Marseille would have won the match was after Aubumeyang came in and played the pass that created the penalty for Greenwood to score, I think before that time PSG should have score more than 2 goals but they let marseille back into the game.
The penalty was an opportunity for PSG to win the match that they should have won before marseille’s come back.

If you consider the statistics in this game it would be very difficult to relate it to the score line because PSG had so many chances at goal and dominated their opponents vigorously but failed to utilise most of the chances they created at goal, it seemed as if they were very unlucky on that night, if luck was their side then the score line would have been different, maybe 4-1 or 3-1, but they managed to get all 3 points which is most important at least to continue fighting for the title.

The games that are dominated are not always victorious with a large goal margin, as always the important thing is to win, but not always those who attack and those who do so consistently manage to convert all the potentially goal-scoring actions, so I would say that in the end it went well too.

This year did stood out from the supposed regular things we do see with the league, there is some unusual competition amd for once it did felt like PSG had to be in their toes in the Ligue 1where there usually do dominate much more than any other team. It is a good one if they can maintain this pase a d give more energy to the league

Yes in this season we are given a little different show from previous seasons, the competition at the top looks more alive because until entering the second half of the season Lens still maintains the place that should be owned by PSG, but yes only 1 point ahead does not mean PSG has lost its throne, and I would not be surprised if in the next few weeks PSG returned to its rightful position, after all Lens' strength will not be enough to stay there.

“It’s rightful position…” I mean this is the kind of things we hear when we come to leagues like the League 1 and the Bundesliga. These one team dominated leagues in PSG and Bayern Munich respectively could be so much, we don’t get that in the EPL or Serie A. Would have mentioned the Laliga but, we can still hope on Barcelona or Real Madrid to give us the same impact.

There are a lot of games ahead and Lens is most certainly not a team that could hold the top spot on the league table. Marseille would have wing much better but, the point gap is much so, it’s just a matter of few games and we would see PSG back on that top spot.

Many games to play, i wish Lens will be strong enough to hold on till then. The consistency in winning five games in a row is realizing that Lens may be up to something, at best, they have their eyes on the title race. The chances are still open for Lens, but since the Ligue 1 has turned farmed, who wants to put Lens over PSG, the difference in points isn't much, and PSG isn't badly performing.

Players' psychology needs to be maintained so they don't feel uncomfortable when facing certain matches. The Super Cup final between PSG and Marseille was quite a tough match. Marseille losing to PSG wasn't shocking, we all expected PSG to win and that was the end result. However, what we didn't expected was the game going all the way to penalties, and that is what the shock was for everyone. Definitely a great thing for them and looking like a very important piece of the puzzle as well. Not that it matters as much but the reality is that PSG shouldn't have kept it until there.

I agree with others that it doesn't matter in the end, but it does tire out PSG more and more. This will cause them to be doing far worse than they could have, every single game they play, they are doing a lot of running, the type of football they play requires a lot of running and that is why it's getting harder.
