Marseille did manage to beat Lens yesterday and put an end to their 10-match winning streak. Before the game, I had a feeling that Lens might lose because, first of all an away match against Marseille is always very difficult. And secondly, PSG had already won their match against Auxerre and moved to the top of the table. Chasing as we know, is harder than being the leader. So I’d say it was expected that PSG would return to first place, it was only a matter of time. And now I think they won’t allow Lens to overtake them again.

PSG has benefited the most from Marseille's victory. They have got the opportunity to occupy the top spot of the table after a long time. And psg  has also taken advantage of the opportunity. PSG is 2 points ahead of lens and at the top of the table.

The fans are very  upset by the performance of lens in the match against Marseille. I watched the highlights of the match. The team performed really badly in this match. Marseille's players made 11 shots, out of  which 5 were on target shots. On the other hand, lens' players were able to make only 5 shots in total. Lens' players made a lot of passes,  but were not able to attack. If they perform like this in the next  matches, their point gap with PSG will increase  further.

PSG still remain the most strongest team in the French League and I don't see any club can stand to challenge them now, because maintaining performance is always the problem of other teams that is when PSG use their own resources to match down the rest and win the league every season.

For sure, we can not refute the fact that PSG remains the strongest team in the French league and also the favourite team to win the league again this season despite the current setbacks they are facing. I'm even surprised the table is having a different look this season with Lens and Marseille mounting pressure on PSG this time. The current standing shows PSG is ahead of Lens with just two points and Marseille with about seven points (That's quite a wide gap thou) but it doesn't seem like a usual rally for PSG where they look unserious and still get away with it by winning the league at the end. Let watch out how the table will look like after match day 20.

I don't know why Arteta didn't give Nwaneri chance in the EPL, that boy contributed heavily to that lose against Marseille, I was heavily pained when I saw that Lens has started losing because I actually wanted a new champion for Ligue 1 for a change, but it's expected. For some reason the midfield I know Lens for was not working and don't get me started on that defense, I knew the match would be tough but 3 goals, that's just bad.

Now we just have to wait and see PSG take the trophy once again.SMH.

Everyone expected that the victory would be easy but it was not so, this is the classic situation where everyone takes for granted that the team must win but it is not so, this fact is the classic example that nothing can be taken for granted and that PSG will surely win another vote the championship

It's really disappointing and embarrassing seeing Lens go down the standings I knew it'd happen some day but deep down I actually want them to win the French ligue 1 title this season because I don't see any reason why a league that is as big as the French ligue 1 will just be a one team league I don't really found it funny it's embarrassing, but all hopps are not yet lost anyways, it's just two points difference and anything can actually happen in the game I'm still counting on Lens besides there's no way they will keep winning without a lost I believe this is the lost and they should bounce back stronger.

French League is always miserable and never been easy to predict about outcome of many matches while Lens is now at the second spot, their chances are quite high and Marseille have chance to challenge PSG for title race, currently they are having 7 points difference from PSG.

Lens is going to be staying on good because they are giving their best and have enough depth to defeat weaker sides while their midfield is not working as they needed especially against tougher opponents PSG, upcoming game against Strasbourg is also going to be interesting because they are also having good performance, and they can also give surprise on their day on ground.

Looking at the odds, everyone assumed Marseille would win this game and that is exactly what happened. If the oddmakers are telling you that one team is favourite to win the game, there is a reason for it. Did we see the team that was underdogs to win games? Of course we have, and this could have been one of them who knows, but that doesn't change the fact that we have seen a situation where it is clear that Marseille was the better team so them getting the win isn't really that much of a shocker.

Lens didn't play a terrible game, of course they played a good game and there is nothing wrong with that, they could have even won if they got a bit luckier. But at the end of the day Lens did their best so far this year.

Never take something for granted, it is clear that this is something that can happen easily, now they have a clear vision of everything that happens, there are things that need to improve but that has to happen to any team in the league that is there, improving is the essence of victory, PD!

So Lyon won against Metz in their Ligue one game this night with five goals to two, this was really impressive because both of them played really well in the game but Lyon got the three points at last.

Congratulations to Endrick, his performance was really impressive in this game and got a well deserved MOTM award with a 10.0 rating, he scored two goals and a penalty goal to make it a hatrick in this game..his first Hatrick of the season! This is really impressive for the young star..

Endrick the youngster from Real Madrid on loan is tearing down the league ome with not only goals but also performance and actions. He is lighting up games and impressing the fans. This way he makes it speedily into Carlos Ancelotti Brazilian squad. I doubt he will want to head back to Real Madrid anytime soon when he is already having a great time in the league one. That league fits him perfectly and a good environment for him to explore and grow.

In the Brazilian national team, he will face the same obstacle: the same coach who benched him. The thing is, when he left Brazil he played very well there, and in his first games at Real Madrid he performed well, but the coach benched him because he had rules prioritizing veteran players like Rodrygo.

Now that the Brazilian national team has the same coach who benched Endrick and played Rodrygo, we will see Endrick on the bench. Ancelotti prefers Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr., even if those two don't play well for the national team.

For several months in the Ligue 1, they have been lagging behind offensively, let's hope they don't lose more points at the end of the season. However, this was a much needed victory, but once again it wasn't still easy. The same problems that has been seen with PSG are still present currently, and they almost came away with a disappointing result against Auxerre, a team that admittedly, isn't easy to play against despite their league position.

I'm hoping that some players will be able to return to the game for their next UCL match against Newcastle. We all saw what they did against PSV. The team saw it clearly in the match that without Dembele, it's quite tough. His return did PSG so much good offensively. He came on and clearly changed everything and revitalized the team. Zabarniy had a very good match which was great to see, Barcola focused more on finishing, but ball control and energy was lacking.

It would be easier for Marseille to maintain the top than Lens of which PSG is not giving up anytime soon. PSG had issues during the absence of Hakimi and several injuries too. For me, Lens may never finish the season above Marseille not to talk of above PSG.

League 1 is always looking the same every season and I think is due to some financial reasons whereby one team is extremely richer than others and acquire any players they wish to buy in any summer. Marseille seems strong but would have been much better if they had more sponsorship. PSG has ruled France for too long and I wish they could be displaced. Loosing to Marseille has cost Lens their top place of which they may not taste again until season ends because PSG is in full force now

PSG certainly benefited from Lens' failure to maintain their winning streak, which caused them to drop to second place. But PSG cannot continue to rely on this kind of play. I expected them to perform better against Auxerre, but they could only manage to score one goal, which is a bit disappointing. They should have been able to score more than one goal against a team at the bottom of the table, but the performance they put in yesterday was average for a team of their caliber. They need to pay attention to their game because Lens are not far below them.

What's happening with Lille recently? This was their 3rd loss in a row.    I understand the one against PSG. But in the other games they couldn't show anything good to us. This is just pushing them out of a Champions League spot race.

This makes PSG the leader again after some time. From the very beginning it is already pretty much obvious they would become the champions anyway.

In this season, at the top things are looking not consistent, mostly teams are having no quality to keep things on their way. PSG is now again at top thanks to Marseille's win against Lens by good margin but things will be still not as expected because PSG is having internal issues which are preventing them from their best.

Marseille can challenge both toppers, but this could be going interesting till end of this season because all teams are having same level of performance which are not allowing any team to create difference. Marseille is improving which is good while PSG and Lens need to have some good results for staying into top ranks coming weeks are going to be entertaining.

PSG beat Auxerre 1-0. Who are second from bottom! And it took them until the 79th minute to score. Luis Enrique literally came out after and said "we're lacking confidence". The manager of the league leaders admitting mentally fragile?

Which brings me to Marseille. And yeah, they're seven points back from PSG but only five back from Lens. Five points with a half a season to go is nothing. Especially when you've just signed an 18 year old from Arsenal who looks genuinely sharp and Gouiri's suddenly hitting form at exactly the right time.

Also Lyon just brought in Endrick at Real Madrid and he's scored four goals in three games. Hat-trick against Metz. He's 19 years old and he's making it look easy. They're sitting fourth, comfortable and quietly building something.

I have some level of belief that Lens will not give up till the end of the season. Losing against Marseille is making some people say that Lens have started dropping points, but what I understand is that even PSG will still lose some of their remaining games to be played. Now it is just two points that PSG are leading Lens, and the game is still competitive. As far as Lens can remain consistent, they also have a good chance to win the French Ligue 1.

But let us see what will happen in the next few games. With the scores PSG are getting recently, I am not that much satisfied with them and not convinced enough that they are as great as they were before. Lens did not give up; it is possible they will end up surprising us and win the Ligue 1. Even if Lens do not end up winning the Ligue 1 title this season, I will say that they really tried.Lens are performing more than everyone’s expectations. If Lens, with the kind of squad they have, are doing great currently, what will the result be when they add some great players to strengthen their team? I believe they will be even greater than this.

I do not want to believe anyone is or will be taking PSG for granted especially in the Ligue 1, they are most definitely going to have a sound edge over others even when they may not seem like it st a point, but it would have only been beautiful have another team get the championship this time, anyways if PSG wins again, congratulations to them.

Yeah, PSG has been the best team in France for a long time, and because lille once won, there are a lot of teams and fans think that it could be possible to make that happen again. The reality is that we are not going to see the same thing again, and we are going to end up with much worse on the long run.

Obviously it is not going to be the same and because of that we are not going to end up with much better results. For that reason we think we are going to be seeing PSG at the top for decades more. Financially they are just not even remotely close to any team, the yare multiple times richer and for that reason they can buy any good player, even within their own league if they want to, so they will stay as leaders.
