The French league seems to be tougher and harder than I taught it was because am just noticing that PSG are that much point difference with the second place team like previous years and this shows probably how tough the league has gotten or probably due to he fact that PSG themselves have really slacked back this season and they are struggling compared to their previous campaign. You know what? Luiz Enrique just unlocked a very rare pattern of player arrangement/displacement.. Do you know how it feels to know that if I call a player out, I'm calling him with the confidence that someone else, just as good as him will replace without having any lapses? That's the technical work that should be made a compulsory criteria for choosing a teams coach and captain.

It was a tough one, I must say. The equalizer by G. Doué, just 5 minutes after PSG's first goal by mayulu was needed to balance the match. Strasbourg hasn't lost any of their last 5 games, but somehow, they're below teams like Lille on the league table.

There has been a slight dip in performance this season for PSG, allowing rivals to keep a close eye on their points tally in Ligue 1. Lens even topped the Ligue 1 table two weeks earlier, or more precisely, before their defeat to Marseille. After Lens' defeat to Marseille, they began to struggle to regain the top spot in Ligue 1, which shows how tight the competition in Ligue 1 this season is, even though that's only because PSG isn't much stronger than last season.

After a loss against Marseille, Lens still look okay. They beat Le Havre home last night. The score was 1-0 at the end but they could have scored more with that productivity.

Now let's see what PSG will do against Strasbourg away. I don't feel like they will find it easy first of all. Their head-to-heads are also giving us some ideas.

In the recent years PSG struggled in away games. On the other hand BTTS was commonly seen. 1.63 odds for it look nice! 

Lens reacted well after the loss to Marseille. The 1 - 0 scoreline does not tell the actual story of the game because they played better and created enough chances to score more, but at the end of the day, the three points are what matter.

It does tell the actual story, which is not that they struggled throughout the match, but that there's a deficiency in the team to convert proper attacks into goals.. And yes, talking of goal, 3 points is not all they need at that position, they also need to score many goals as that counts on its own. 20 game played already and I think we all know which teams will be going for the relegation at the end of this competition! If we're comparing their previous seasons to this one, I think this will turn out to be one of the best for Lens.

My problem with Paris Saint-Germain is the number of goals scored this last month wasn't impressive and it was almost a goal difference. The red card of Hakimi was received at the last part of the second half time so it didn't have an important effect. Nevertheless Mendes goal saved them while playing with 10 players which was good but not enough reassuring.
Anyway, PSG hold their spot for another round at least until they will face Marseille and who know how ready will be Marseille for them.

PSG was very lucky to finally get the winning goal against Strasbourg in the 81 minute, Mendes N. gave them the winner goal after Hakimi A. sent off following his rough play in the 75 minute. I don't know why PSG always find it difficult to win when they face Strasbourg they have good players which more of great quality than Strasbourg but when ever they meet it's always a baty between them but today PSG got lucky to finally be the winner despite all the struggles.

Achraf Hakimi's red card came in the 75th minute of the game so if Paris Saint Germaine were as impressive as they used to be, they should've scored more goals than the 2:1 scoreline before the Moroccan was sent off. Paris Saint Germaine after a good start to the season haven't been consistent with their top performance in recent games and I think it's now disturbing to fans of the club. Their current 2 points lead at the top of the table isn't enough and if they can't improve from what we've seen from them lately, especially in the French League, Lens might eventually win the the league even when I know it'll be almost impossible for them.

Routinely this Strasbourg team is one of the side that has always being a headache to PSG in each encounter as PSG would struggle to take all 3 points, and it wasn't any different for today's game except that PSG had a red card which actually affected their possession of the game and backline since they were short of complete defense. I have almost concluded it to end in a 1:1 draw before Mendes goal.

Success in smaller teams playing as trophy is a two-sided sword because the interest in the players soon leads to a mass exodus to the large clubs. We must understand the fact that glory such as this would only be a one-time affair, unless a powerful financial assistance is provided to bring in worthy substitutes. There are some teams that are notable and that certainly deserve much more than many other teams that are not there just because they have a large economic possibility, and without all the money they have they certainly could not afford to be there.

Bahahahaha!!! One of  your major reasons is that it was among either of your running tickets, so losing the game might cost you a lot, we know.. Those guys would still sleep in a nice hotel, rock on designer wears, drive luxury (sometimes) customized cars even though everything isn't going well for the team.
I actually thought the red card would disorganize Enrique's tactics, only for Mendes to show up with the second goal for the team, 1 man aside. I still think Enrique has more job to do than we can imagine if he really wants to hold down that position, especially since they have a lesser number of pending matches ahead

However, the team will now have to face Monaco in the play-offs to draw against Newcastle in the Champions League but my opinion through yesterday's match, Monaco are showing that they are back in strong form because they destroyed the Rennes team with a 4-0 score.

These League 1 teams are not as serious as you may think, that can start the season well and fatigue will start affecting them along the line due to lack of squad depth, and that has been the advantage PSG keep having every season even when they are not strong enough to compete with other clubs outside the League 1.

I think only Lens is a team that is looking as serious as we want, they are still in the title race even after being defeated by Marseille, they win their last match and maintain the two points gap, and I am sure if they have opportunity they will go above PSG because they are but as strong and they were last season.

Your perspective is too narrow if you only look at the H2H of both teams, indeed in Paris Saint-Germain last away match to Stade de la Meinau they didn't get a good result, but if we look at the current conditions, there's no reason for Paris Saint-Germain to get even 1 point, they will get full points there. Paris Saint-Germain prediction & belief to win the match is strengthened by the bookies, they're the favorites even when they play away.

I don't look at head-to-heads only. If you look carefully I said also just to give it as an information to consider before betting.

Even though PSG had a dominance in ball possession and passes, Strasbourg had more goal potential statistically (2.31 xG vs 1.34 xG). Unlucky for them.
