It is not a matter of this person realizing what they are doing. They are aware what they do and the fact they are promoting a shady bussiness which has proven to have defaulted countless people to this date.

The answer is Russia. Majority of these scammy gambling sites operate from Russia which is why it's tough to take them down even after finding out their whereabouts. What else can you expect from a country which is led by Putin.

Actually gamblers who feel right in their decisions and feel right in everything they think, are good at gambling.

I think their purpose on promoting their site is not to gain back their good old reputation but it is to scam more people. This might be the only thing that they can do judging the amount of people that they have scammed. Let us not completely derail the discussion in this thread with much political talking, however I kind of agree.
One must be aware on the history of Russia as a place where cyber criminals can live unpunished for crimes committed on internet.

I personally doubt Putin or anyone within his closest circle in involved with this scam of casino, but this may be the result of some oligarch trying to increase their revenue using 1xbit to steal funds from all around the world, knowing the Russian police won't interfere at all. I assume they cannot do the same as easily as they would like to with 1xbet, because there it is about FIAT, and Russia is sanctioned and it is a centralized system, making it difficult to steal and ghost their gamblers.
