only concrete evidence that can make them believe, they are primitive and do not care about the progress of the times.  they prefer fiat over virtual currency.  it's hard to give them an understanding of how bitcoin works.  and my advice is, you ask for capital from your parents then you trade bitcoin.  and you have to show the advantages of trading to your parents.  enough

There is no need to explain something to someone about Bitcoin. Many people live in their own world and do not want to learn anything new about the world of finance. Until bitcoin thoroughly enters our life, this information may not be useful at all for them.

If you want to introduce them the bitcoin one of the efficient way is to prove to them what you've already earned because this is the common mistakes of the influencer they are promoting the use of the bitcoin but the problem is they don't have too much evidence the use of the bitcoin but the problem is what kind of range OP want to introduce the bitcoin?. There are a lot of people in the business world who know the use of digital currency and most of the time in my country they are using the bitcoin(not totally promoting to different social media), instead, they know the news related to the bitcoin works.

I share my knowledge too with the same age bracket with me, because some of them are afraid of the use of the bitcoin, rather I influence them to make a secured transaction.

The first thing you should do is not to speak in a high tone with your parents. The second thing is try to practice the uses and benefits of Bitcoin directly, because parents sometimes learn from what they do.
The first thing is basic politeness, everyone has no problem. The second thing depends on the qualifications of the parents, who love technology, it is very simple, but technology blind people are very difficult. In my opinion, everyone understands the parents well, so we either recommend or not recommend bitcoin to them, it has no specific methods, only specific objects.

I'm looking for the easiest way to make old people understand Bitcoin more thoroughly. I want to let the elderly know about the "Bitcoin revolution", yet I find it quite challenging to explain it to them in a way they can understand how it all works. There are some wallets that have a "user-friendly" interface, but even the basics of sending/receiving Bitcoin can have a steep learning curve for the older people. A Bitcoin wallet with built-in accessibility features, could help even elder people with vision or hearing problems to use the pioneer cryptocurrency in their daily lives.

If you happen to know of a way to make old people understand Bitcoin easily, please let me know. Any suggestions or recommendations will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
I think the best way to teach them is to let them experience all the process. I mean EXPERIENCE is the best teacher. Try to explain them how it works as simple as possible and then let them do the process. Explain only the necessary things about bitcoin and how it works , be sure not to overload them information that is a lot to process. I'm sure they will understand it, eventually. You can also teach it to the younger ones because they are the future.

Now in the 21st century, older people still don't know cryptocurrencies very well and you have to have time to be able to explain it further.

Well, the truth is, I don't think that older people have the need to handle bitcoins, my friend, what if we should make sure that our relatives know about it, but older people do not think they urgently need this, the world of cryptocurrencies is quite extensive and we ourselves need to learn more about this so we need to continue learning ourselves and then teach our families to do it and thus share our wisdom with our loved ones and of course here in the cryptotalk community through this great and wonderful forum .

I see this as a herculean task to achieve. This is because many things are to be considered first such as their knowledge of the internet, how to browse, and their level of understanding technological advancements etc. To send or receive bitcoin, they must have a wallet, know how it works and how to safeguard their Bitcoin because any unforeseen mistakes might lead to losses. Okay, let's assume they decide to use friendly wallets like Trust wallet, will they be able to safeguard their private keys or mnemonic phrases?. Bitcoin transactions is not like debit card wherein you can ask someone for help at the ATM machine, an old man/woman asking someone for help with bitcoin transactions, the person might end up stealing from them.
However, on the other hand, if they can be able to understand what bitcoin is all about and all that, then there is every possiblity they will be able to catch up and understand, but first thing is, they need to be efficient in using the internet and applications as that is the basics.
Lastly, they need to understand the need to know about Bitcoin, because if you can't explain to them why they need Bitcoin, they might think you are wasting their time.

While the elderly do not seem to be involved in learning about cryptocurrencies, this is not always the case. The are goin to listen to us, but the are not capable of perfoming enough because bitcoin is too difficult to understand.

If you offer a clear explanation and are willing to answer their questions, you will make everyone understand about bitcoin and how it is used, how to take advantage of cryptocurrencies, since bitcoin is the most costly and common cryptocurrency, but there are many other great cryptocurrencies worth knowing as well. I think that all people will learn about bitcoin.

For most old people, in their elderly age, they no longer think about the financial business. Businesses in the actual world alone may have reduced activity especially to do business in the virtual world, such as investing in cryptocurrencies. It may be enough for them to enjoy the tranquility and nurturing of grandchildren rather than the hard work of making money.  Usually, parents will give up their business to their children, and they just enjoy the results.

It is really a challenge for other people to understand what Bitcoin is all about. Honestly, many of them doesnt even trust Banks with their money. For example, Japanese people tends to hold 50% of their money on their vaults rather than deposit it on banks. So maybe tradition may affect a persons approach towards Bitcoin.

Most of Old people they did not understand easily about technology. Just like bitcoin it is new so we need to teach them step by step on how the bitcoin works every single details we need to teach them if a person once to share the opportunity of the bitcoin.

They have different platforms that you can use but highly recommended to you video is perfect because it is visual that easily to understand because if you show them picture or text maybe it will not works or maybe both is better.

I want to teach my old relatives but most of them are not interested even I'm showing my proof that I earned money because of the bitcoin.

I find it interesting that I, as a 78 year old member here, can embrace Bitcoin, and a number of other modern technologies, yet the younger members seem to be incapable of researching and understand the concept of the Corona Virus. Maybe the real question should be " How can we get young people to understand viruses and immunity?". Many older people have experience and open minds that allow them to research and understand new concepts. Young people seem to be more concerned with their ability to send selfies of their throats over the internet. The virus, and its manipulation by the bankers will have a greater impact on you health and wealth than Bitcoin.

It is really so tough to teach old people about bitcoin, crypto currency and block chain technology. Many people don't know about internet and features of it let alone bitcoin. But if we discuss about bitcoin with them in daily basis, then they may able to understand it.

We have to discuss bitcoin using simplified language that is easy for the layman to understand and especially for the elderly, you will go through the stages and face the challenges of making them understand about bitcoin for a long time.

Yes but as long as old people are willing to learn about bitcoin, it is worth it. Cryptocurrency may seem to be impossible for them to learn because it is all about technology, but deep inside them, they want to know about technology. For me, there's a way to make them understand about bitcoin aside from discussing bitcoin with them on a daily basis, they should start using and knowing about the internet, and they will probably get more attached to it.

Hello,
that's such a good question. I mean as a beginner it's even for the young people with the right knowledge of technology hard to understand bitcoins. But I think if someone would take the time to teach an older person about it, they would understand. It would take a little longer but I think the main point would be understandable.
Well you have a point, its not easy to understand bitcoin for young people so what more to our elderly right? But if there's a will, there's a way. Thus we just need patience to teach and make them understand the convenience of using bitcoin, either as currency or as investment.

I think its best to start by introducing it as currency like fiat that can be use to purchase online. From there they can understand learn further the uses of bitcoin of course with our assistance.

Yes, we just need to get used to Bitcoin as a daily payment medium that they use. When they interact regularly about this cryptocurrency, more will start learning Bitcoin and also learn about blockchain.
The public only needs a habit to transact using digital currency as the starting point for a decentralized digital currency civilization.

Bitcoin can't be taught to anyone on compulsion, unlike the age if one is willing to learn surely it is a possible solution for an old person to know about bitcoin. But the chance of such transition and learning about the real market is very minimal. Right now the old people from United States might have got better understanding about bitcoin, because they're much used to it on shops and ATM.

There is no special way to educate old people about bitcoin. Many old people especially those living in the rural areas don’t find the internet interesting, how much more telling them to invest their time/ money in a digital currency. It’s almost impossible for them because most likely they are old school. Nevertheless if any shows interest to know he/she can be educated about it so at these point I believe it’s a function of the individual interest not age when it’s comes to understanding of bitcoin.

I don't see any strategy that would work in teaching the old about bitcoin. I tried other people, but they say I had trouble understanding how that wallet works. I tell them again about how to use the Bitcoin Wallet over and over again and I think you will use it because you are younger than me. Older people aged 45 or over do not understand or are able to understand much about technology. When a person reaches the age of 45 or 50, they can't even remember trying one thing. So I don’t see any way to teach about bitcoin.
