In my opinion, a new crypto cannot beat Ethereum, as its market value reached 45 billion and companies and large projects use the Ethereum platform and its distributed applications and It is in continuous developments and partnerships, The competition with this token will be very difficult and almost impossible, but perhaps in the future we will see competing good tokens reach some of the popularity of Ethereum.

In terms of price yes that is possible and already you can check many projects with more token price than eth but in terms of rank and market cap i do not think that any coin can make it bigger than eth and then sustain it, few years ago ripple did that for a short while but then gone back down and with the extended ecosystem i think ethereum will move far ahead in coming years.

Ripple seem to have a team that has not shown that convincing integrity with token management in past year. The possibility is always present, but the question is, how possible it is. If you are talking of  Yobit and lDex where this new coin/token are listed, then I guess there's a little chance that it would beat ETH as ETH is listed in different exchanges, big and small that's why it's liquidity is good.

When team decide to make their project, they always aim to succeed and they aim high to beat whatever coins in the top of the list, but it doesn't mean they can easily surpass the success of other coins especially ETH which has been consistent on its position for a long period of time already.

Price and market cap are two completely different things. Launch a coin with 1 total supply and see how astronomical its price could get.

Chances aren't high, I'd say. Considering the number of ETH tokens, I would have to guess there needs to be a large bubble pop in the shitcoins balloon in order for it to also fall. There's also a psychological thing that many may not see. We're used to seeing ETH, XRP and BTC at the top. If another coin gets up there, it might emotionally disrupt the markets for a while.

of course, its possible, but not this time, maybe in the future, because now ethereum still become the best altcoins

Overtake ETH in terms of price value or you meant market cap? I think there is a mix up with your question. However, it's very possible for a new cryptocurrency to replace ETH in terms of mcap, will be extremely difficult anyway and needs time for the mcap to surpass ETH. XRP (which is not a new coin) once did that, however it was short-lived.

A project team set any price for their projects but when it hit on the exchanges it gets the real value but in short term it is going to hit zero so never compare shit coins with ethereum and in terms of coinmarket cap value no shit coins is going to replace its place for atleast next few years.

Yes. I remember the time when XRP took the place of ETH, I think that was early this year. But it didn't take a long time because it just happened within minutes. The Crypto market is volatile so it's very likely.
What that means is that there can be billions of dollars that be wiped within an hour for Eth or other cryptocurrencies and be transferred to another which will add a market cap to the cryptos that are near to its rank.

If someone is only looking at the price, then he is making wrong conclusion in the market. Because a project can have very low supply and beat the price level of eth but have you looked at the market cap? So yeah, price and market cap are 2 different things and they should both be considered when comparing alts. How about its overall impact in the community? The applications?

A new project has always the chance to beat eth or bitcoin, as we are living in a world full of surprises. And as we continue to advance in technology, there's always the possibility that someone can create the game changer in the market. But they need to surpass the achievements of these top projects before they can claim their position in the market.

Despite of DeFi growth this year, I still believe that they can’t beat ETH on top because most of them uses ETH platform to do business and that makes ETH more especial. I remember when XRP takes over the top 2 place but it didn’t last longer simply because ETH will always do its best to remain on top, and its current price growth tells everything.

First and foremost, Yobit isn't a top exchange, I doubt if the same can be said about IDEX. However, Binance is a top exchange as well as others such as OKEx, Huobi and so on not Yobit.
Secondly, it is better to accept the fact that there is currently no coin which have the capability to beat Ethereum in whatever terms; major cryptocurrencies which has been around for years have not been able to achieve that feat let alone new cryptocurrencies of which majority of them can't be trusted. Thus, it's better to accept the fact that ETH isn't loosing that position anytime soon.

EOS, Tron, XLM, Waves have all tried to compete with ethereum but nothing has beaten this coin in any way. so even in the future I think it's still impossible. ethereum is strong even when she's in a bad state. and soon ethereum 2.0 will be launched, this will strengthen the position of this coin as the second largest crypto after bitcoin.

It's not impossible but it's not that easy either. Ethereum has been in second place for a long time but it's still hard to surpass it since then. Not that there's no chance or no other worthy competitor. But that doesn't mean another alt cannot move above the rank. It might be hard for a new coin, but a good coin with a solid background might do the the job but it's going to take a lot of hardwork. We've seen another alts moving up to the mighty rank 10, so there's a chance of them to aim more.

It's possible, I know that 95% of new projects are a complete joke and time wasters but still we have seen promising projects so far, avalanche (AVAX) came along, even DIA and DeFi projects too, nothing is impossible in this space that's certain, Ethereum can lose its second position some day

Short term period, No. However, the market is difficult to speculate and there are even new projects coming out that show a lot of potentials that could possibly replace those who are currently at the top. We never know what could possibly happen in the market and what innovation or  services can developers create.
