I think there are already several coins that can beat the price of ethereum such as new coins that have very little supply which ultimately makes the price very expensive, for example, YFI, PAXG and MAKR which have proven to be able to beat ethereum prices on exchanges. |

All those "tokens" you are seeing will die eventually. I doubt any of the existing coins/tokens will be able to take over ETH. The new coins/tokens/projects that pop are just some shit projects/coins that are here to scam people. We can never know if a new coin take over ETH. Perhaps if such a coin is created that solves almost all existing problems of ETH, maybe that can take over ETH in price value. |

Don't say "nothing can" beat ETH in the near future in terms of market cap, better you say it "won't be easy" for any altcoin to surpass ETH's market cap in near future. We don't know what future will offer to this market. If we are talking about the price, yes it is possible to happen. There are some altcoins which have more expensive prices than ETH. But if we view it from "market caps" or the rank on coinmarketcap, I think it will be difficult for new crypto coins to overtake ETH. The gaps will be very far, new coins may need some years to grow and it cannot guarantee to overtake ETH. You know, even Ripple or other top altcoins, cannot overtake ETH now. |

Most of new coins are just existing because of hype or to scam the investors. Its hard to find a new coin that has real use case and can solve real problem.

The price may be more but in terms of capitalization and community, no new cryptos can overcome ETH at least 2 years aways. Like YFI , its price now is about 15k, higher than Bitcoin but we cann't compare it with Bitcoin about everthing. |
