But you can see that the teams from the bottom of the table aren't as weak in most of the games as the table would suggest. It is not like upper third vs. lower third = win for the team from the upper third of the table. It is just now that Sheffield United could beat West Ham United as they are in the driving seat. Of course you are not wrong that this game should be a win for Liverpool, but drawing conclusions early went wrong a couple of times for me this season.

It just came to my mind that Liverpool had this game against Luton Town when they were only able to get 1 point from it and that was only possible because Diaz scored a goal in minute 5 of extra time. But I admit that in early November they were not as good in shape as they are now, but then again Salah is missing.

Westham is just doing it perfectly, JWP has been helping westham to lead the game after the referee was awarding the penalty to the club. Sheffield was not performing badly against westham but i can't deny that penalty is a key for westham to win the game.
Sheffield was always able having more ball possessions compared to the westham but it's still bottling it. The match has ended with 2-1 as the final result. The stats showed that westham was not performing as well as when it was playing with the full squad but as long as it was winning the game and that's fine.
