That's how they have been for most of the season. I am even surprised they won tonight's game with such a huge margin.

They did have chances, though, but their inconsistency shouldn't go unnoticed. As a neutral fan, to be a Manchester United fan, one would rather be an Arsenal fan

You are right. Man United has done big efforts, they dominated the match (68% ball possessions) and they made many attempts to score (22 shots, 3 shots on target). Unfortunately, they cannot play effectively, so there is no single goal till the end of the match. I don't understand why Man United players seem too hard in scoring. They look very frustrated and not really creative to execute every opportunity to score. I think Man United coach needs to evaluate the capacity of their attackers. Looks like Man United attackers are in a crisis of confidence.

Arsenal are fighting for the Champions League spot really seriously now. And Manchester United got just the result that Arsenal would have liked to see. They drew with Watford in Old Trafford by 0-0 even though they tried everything they could to win. I don't know what their problem is now. Actually they really want to win each one of their matches but they still struggle to get comfortable wins. The Leeds victory must have fired them up but it didn't as it seems. They proved again how much unreliable they are this season. And if Arsenal keep up a good consistency, they can leave Manchester United behind and take the fourth position already before playing all of their absent matches.

I believe Manchester United's chances of competing in the Champions League next season are dwindling, as they are expected to collect three points from Watford in order to close the gap on Arsenal, but they have not been consistent enough, and their fans are furious with the team's performance. After Manchester City  lost to Spurs in a game that ended 2-3 in favour of Spurs, the league trophy was pretty much open for some more competition between Manchester City and Liverpool but somehow, I felt it Manchester City was going to keep there place by winning all there remaining games. After watching today's game, I seriously doubt Manchester City would  be able to keep this up. In the Everton 0-1 Manchester City game, you could almost see the 1st spot on the table living the Citizens and Kloplp would have made no mistake in winning his next game. It was a close one and they escaped by a thread.

I agree with you on this one With the way Man city played  today, I don't think they are ready to lift the EPL trophy 🏆 this season. I expected them to trash Everton who is in poor form at least 3:0 but they struggled to see the 1:0 win. City need to go back to the drawing board if they don't want to be overtaken by their rivals Liverpool,I trust PEP he will know what to do this important moment.

Yes, another problem of Man United squad is the lack of teamwork. I often saw Man United players in hurry to score once they have an opportunity. In many attempts, Man United wingers or midfielders don't want to share the ball with Ronaldo. They may have the intention to show to the public that they also have a big skill as Ronaldo. But they don't know, what they do is a stupid thing and result in a bad impact on a whole squad. Well, maybe it is caused by many young attackers and midfielders on the Man United squad. These young players still have a problem controlling their emotions/egos.

They might be earned zero point against these tough opponents.
But yeah manchester united often give us a surprise by beating top clubs such as manchester city which hopefully so.

It's also a bit doubtful whether Man United can win or not for me they are not consistently so strong in their squad, for me to go through the Man United match last night for me the prediction of a draw was far beyond reason.

If Man United loses in a row to a big team, then of course you have to give up being overtaken by another team, but against Man City and Liverpool it looks like it will be difficult for Man United unless you can beat Tottenham.

They are sitting 4th now though as arsenal still have 3 games in hand which yeah their position could still overtaken at any time , so there is no time for the inconsistency ... they have to improve or at least keep the current form to not losing too much points in the proccess.

It's always looks difficult and united being underestimated , but when the game started , a lot of things changed 180 degree! I had that guts , to see united beating both liverpool and manchester city.

Manchester City really won their Everton match just as I expected. But it was not hard to predict as well. They still scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute though but they won in the end. They are playing without a natural striker right now. Foden played as the centre-forward but he still scored the life-saver. This helped Manchester City take a deep breath before Liverpool play their match at least. But I don't think that Liverpool will make any mistake against West Ham in Anfield. Maybe it is a very hard match but we are talking about a title chance here. Liverpool should be defeating them.

Maybe Rangnick using a different strategy to on-front players for not giving a ball to Ronaldo if they have the opportunity to shoot on goals. but for last night, I admit they waste the time for foreplay, and which 22 shoot only 3 on target is very lack of teamwork. So never mind they just don't lose. it's enough good for the club which seem still unstable

 City is doing a lot worse these weeks. They managed to win with only 1-0 and that was one goal from a mistake by City, plus a CLEAR handball by rodri as well. I have zero idea why ref didn't give the handball, we all saw it, you saw it, I saw it, we all know it is a handball, its not like we have to guess, we SAW it, and yet it wasn't given. So basically without that mistake, and with the handball penalty, it was quite possible for everton to win. Football gods were on City's side today and that is why I would guess that they won, and we just have to look on next matches. Liverpool has no game, but I am pretty sure that they are looking a little bit better, or have better momentum.

Great, Lampard can apply a fairly tight and disciplined gameplay for Everton even though I previously thought that Manchester City could lead from half time. It's not about ball possession or overall stats, but leading to win by a goal but Everton so far are still playing pretty tight and that makes it difficult for Manchester City to score. Indeed, I do not expect Everton to lose because they are very close to the relegation zone and if this match ends in a draw then surely Liverpool will be closer to Manchester City as the leader of the table.

The good thing about Lampard being the coach of Everton is that he will be bring in discipline in that team.. That not withstanding, Manchester City are known for opening up teams but a discipline side defensively will cause them some problems too and this is what Everton fans and probably Liverpool fans would hope for.

Unfortunately, Everton lost this game but they could raise their head high because they played one of the toughest teams in the League and gave Manchester City a run for their money. The truth is if Everton continue like this, they will be fighting for tops with the big guns. Obviously, Frank Lampard is the game changer for them and the team can only get better.

Manchester United game is quite good and what needs to be improved is only in the finishing line up front. in the 45 minutes of the first half, there were several chances that 99% of goals went through the feet of Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes.
Bruno Fernandes and Elanga were too focused on providing Ronaldo's pass so it was easy for the Watford defense (CB) to read it. 45 minutes in the second half was like that too.
J. Sancho, B. Fernandes and A. Elanga made several attacks to score goals, but they also always tried to provide feedback to Ronaldo.
For me that needs to be changed. don't focus too much on Ronaldo to score goals because the opponent will be very easy to read.

Yesterday Everton played well. It seemed they had a game plan and were pressing City quite well in my opinion. Also City were also lucky with their goal plus they were also lucky with the hand ball. Otherwise that match would have been a draw for sure. I am sure Lampard will be happy with the way how they played against City despite loss.

I watched the game and I think I agree with your opinion. Everton had some good chances to score but all failed, but they did their best throughout the match even though in the end they lost just because of a small mistake from their defenders.

I believe the difference was Van De Beek and I wonder if the coaches at Manchester United were seeing him play, because what an absolutely terrific performance he put in, and this is something we’re currently missing at Manchester United. Also if at the end of the season he doesn’t make it back to the club, then I feel it’ll be one of the biggest mistake made by the Manchester United board and the coaches.

It's always difficult to score when a team like Everton tries to end the match with a draw because their focus on the match is defending and counter-attacking. It's lucky if Everton can score on the counter-attack because I think they struggle to build a good attack when Manchester City's dominance is better than them.

Manchester City can always score goals when the opposing team is not focused on defending even though the opponent is a top team. On the other hand, Manchester City always finds it difficult to score goals when the opponent's strategy focuses on defending even though throughout the match Manchester City has many opportunities. Everton vs Manchester City match was almost a draw, but lucky for Manchester City because that 1 goal kept them safe at the top of the standings.
