Ronaldo is a very ambitious player and considering how many golden balls he has, it is clear that he wants to win more.

The results would have been pretty much the same.It seems that Ralf Rangnick isn't any better than Carrick and Solskjaer.
The only top tier manager they could hire is probably Zidane(if he really wants to lead an English team).
Anyway,great game from Manchester City.They will continue to dominate the Premier League until the end of the season and in the upcoming years.

Tomorrow there is a match between Tottenham vs Everton, after the previous match in the Premier League Tottenham could win a landslide against Leeds. I really don't blame Christiano Ronaldo if he refuses to play, Rangnick should be blamed. Even at his age Ronaldo is still arguably one of the best in that team and you want him to start from bench in a big game as of that against the top dogs in the league Manchester City? I didn't have much expectation from Manchester United in this derby game. And they didn't surprise me.    Maybe things would have been much different if they maintained their eager-to-win look during the whole game but they were very inconsistent about that. And it brought their end by a 4-1 score. And this result helped Arsenal keep their place in the standings. They are the new owner of the fourth place now. And they can pull away from Manchester United as they have three games missing too. But it depends on their consistency.

Manchester United will have to sacrifice a few seasons and begin (again) with a new strategic plan to rebuild their team, with young and gifted players. They must have a long plan for it, like Arsenal. Even they will have to sacrifice a few seasons without Champions League. Pogba should leave so do Maguire, Rashford etc. They put so much money for Pogba, believe in him, give him time but what he performs is not good as what the club expected. Majority of their players should be blamed for that woeful performance exhibited by club in yesterday's match, except DeGea who brilliantly made some crucial saves else they would have conceded many goals, from my own point of view majority of their players abysmal attitude and poor performance was responsible for the sacking of Ole and Mourinho, invariably nothing has really changed in the club since the appointment of Rangnick, the club owners had invested huge sum of funds into the club, Maguire £80m Pogba £100m, Sancho £73m, Aaron Wan-Bissaka £50m e.t.c were all bought at exorbitant price yet they couldn't justify their worth, it's really embrassing how they were outplayed by Man City.

Maybe Manchester United heyday is really sinking. Yes, I agree that both Mourinho and Van Gaal are top coaches, but with a very complex character. Apparently both of them could not find a common language with the players, especially Van Gaal.
Zidane was an excellent option, a good coach who did not seem to enter into conflicts with the players regularly. He won the Champions League and the La Liga. They could try to hire Simeone, for example.
As an interim coach, Carrick would be good choice, he knows the club from the inside. Well, or give it to Solskjaer to finalize, maybe they could take the 3rd place.
But Rangnick is a real mystery.

He should not refuse to play, I remember Arjen Robben in Bayern Munich, he was not getting younger and it came to a time he did not use to start any match Bayern wants to play, but he can come in as Bayern is not playing well or at the second half of the match to score more. Can you remember the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid? The main man of the match was a substitute, but he was a key player too at that time though. A manager would have to strategize and do what is possible for the betterment of a club.  It is not about being one of the best player but about a club playing good.

Sancho was able to get an equalizing goal at the first half before the second goal from De Bruyne. If Ronaldo had come in chances are it might have ended in a draw as usual. After yesterday game, I believe the United players do not want to play for Ralf Rangnick. I saw their body language in the game the way they handled the ball it was as if they were trying to send a message to management. No shots on target in the entire second half. In my opinion, Arsenal has more chance of getting a Champions League ticket next season than Man United because Arsenal is in good shape, and their form looks consistent. So even though Man United can improve their performance, but on the other hand Arsenal can maintain their current form then it will be difficult for Man United to snatch the 4th position. Besides that, Arsenal also has a chance to take 3rd place from Chelsea. They are currently 5 points behind Chelsea but they have 1 game less than Chelsea.
