Arsenal's recent form has been pretty awful. 4 losses in the last 5 matches should not be expected from a team that is aspiring to return to Champion's league football. Arsenal is still lucky that the opponents it's trying to compete with for the spot (Manchester United and  Tottenham) are also not serious at all, otherwise a point gap would have already opened up

When I look at the fight for fourth place in the Premier League, I always think - what kind of clowns are these? This is despite the fact that I support United and generally have a good attitude towards all teams (except City)   But then I remember Serie A where the same thing happens but in the fight for gold.
Too bad United are playing Liverpool on the 19th and the intrigue/hope of a Champions League ticket for United will be thrown back again.

keep in mind that it's not going to be easy for Arsenal and Tottenham in their next matches too, so I think the fight for the champions league qualifying spot will remain, it's going to be tough for your team Man utd but I believe they can do it, Arsenal are starting to lose their cool in the last matches, and Tottenham can drop points in any match, a 3 way fight until the end of the season.

Somehow making sure match is easy and hard when they lose against a weaker team, from last week until the end of the season we will see some surprises in some matches
It's getting harder to predict how a team will finish the match inconsistency messes up predictions, for Man city, Liverpool and West Ham maybe understandable because they play in other competitions but Man united, Arsenal and Tottenham?

It was a really surprising day for all of us I guess. Because not only Tottenham but also Arsenal lost their league games. After seeing the result of the Tottenham - Brighton game, I would have waited for Arsenal to play more eager to win. But they still couldn't even score one goal and lost with a 1-0 score. Arsenal really feel the absence of a good striker these days especially. I hope they can sign a good one this summer.

Brighton is amazing, they beat all the big clubs at the home, I don't know what the spirit is, which very rarely do I look like this, Manchester City must be careful, Brighton will bring it also to The city home in the next 5 days. I really believe Tottenham bring the win tonight because the player's squad is better than Brighton, but all, not my expected, the statistic is not better and nothing shoots on goal, there is no cooperation between forward.

His second goal that came off a header is something that haven't been seen in quite a while and to top it all, came the free kick, all converted into his hat-trick.
What I liked most of all was Norwich to have thought and tried to attempt a come back unto the game but,

Tottenham offer fourth place to Arsenal and Arsenal reject this generous offer losing to Southampton. Graham Potter loves London teams. Tottenham had to do something with the wind behind them. Fighting for fourth place Tottenham performed very poorly in the match and did not even make an effort to draw. It's not going to happen. I hope we see Graham Potter at the head of one of the Big Six teams.

The Premier League competition feels even more fierce after there are four teams who are still struggling to penetrate the top four positions in order to secure a ticket to appear in the Champions League.  However, of the four teams, Arsenal can be said to be the team that has the most bad luck, recently they have been very disappointing, instead of looking for perfect points they fell.  Tottenham also suffered the same fate, playing at home they should be able to win full points to stay away from the pursuit of competitors.  Manchester United, which was almost out of the competition, is now back on track because it has succeeded in adding important points this week, West Ham is also one of the teams that are still eligible to compete in the hunt for tickets to the champions league next season.  Very interesting!

you are wrong in calculating the tournaments, there are 38 tournaments from the rest of the tournament, not 4 clubs' who are fighting for tickets to play in the Champions League, because 2 clubs have already secured the tickets, they are Manchester city and Liverpool, their position now determines which position can be achieved in the league  England this time.

@Smartvirus I think I have said it too that we’re better without Ronaldo, but yesterday he majestically proved why we need him at least for this season, and most importantly till we can get a decent replacement who can score such important goals. Furthermore I thought that Norwich would win this game, but luckily Manchester United held on, and Ronaldo scored his hattrick to get 3 valuable points for the club and now all I’m hoping is that he can continue scoring those winning goals in all the remaining fixtures.

I was impressed by Norwich's confidence in yesterday's game. Even though Man United have not been good in their games, they are still seen as the big guys.
 It would have been a clean sheet for Norwich in the first half after Ronaldo demoralized their defense and opened the score sheet in the 7th minutes and went on to weaken it in the 32nd but then, dowell had to net in a goal and gave Norwich hope .
 The game was quite an impressive and easy one for Man United, bit I think they need to do better if they plan to move up in the table.

The second half kickoff, there was alot of pressure from Norwich, and they eventually levelled the game to a 2-3 draw. When all hopes were lost, that was the moment Cristiano Ronaldo score a stunning freekick to give Manchester United the victory and got an hattrick in the game, they have awaken the race for the top 4 position.

Arsenal had there moment to get back to being top 4 yesterday and they blew it. After Brighton did beat Tottenham to the goal with a perfect cut in from Leandro Trossard following a defensive error. Still, Arsenal couldn't manage it to win 3 points off Southampton or even share points. B. Saka had a good trier of the post, I kind of expected him to have put the ball in the far corner but instead, he directed his shot towards the middle and was safely punched away by Fraser Forster. Same goes for G. Xhaka too and still, Fraser Forster was so on guard of his post.
The Southampton game was the best chance of some victory for Arsenal and as it is now, they are unto some bumpy ride in there next games.

Actually, if you look at their schedule, it is certainly not difficult because the matches they will play with opponents are relatively easy to get 4th position, but what makes Arsenal difficult is that they themselves start from coaches to players.
I am no longer surprised to see Arsenal's journey in the Premier League. Almost every season they are like this. Even so, Arsenal's successive defeats could be due to an incomplete squad. Many players are absent.

Arsenal and Southampton are clearly different in terms of quality of players therefore Arsenal can control the game up to 76% and 23 shots
but as you said their defense is weak and finishing is not optimal even though a few months ago they weren't like that all compact and stable
So this is my question, what's going on? they are still playing with the existing squad but the performance is different.

Ronaldo's performance was very good. After a long time we got to see a perfect gameplay from Ronaldo. He played brilliantly, and managed to score 3 goals. However, I was not satisfied with Manchester United's gameplay or match strategy. Norwich is a weak team. United have conceded two goals against them. Manchester United now have to fight hard against the last team in the table. We can easily guess how bad the condition of their team is.

this weekend seems we see some of unpredictable results because while most people predict Arsenal and Tottenham are the favourite to win the matches because against mediocre teams but in fact they were lose and these results makes Man Utd chance are open wide again reach to champion league zone and top 4 will became so tight because currently Arsenal and Man Utd only 3 points behind Tottenham so they will wait if Tottenham slipped then Tottenham position will be replaced by them
