I wouldn't say last season was competitive. Because last season only Arsenal and Manchester City fought for the title. Big teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United do not fight for the syrup. They were far behind. Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League. Last season was the best chance for Arsenal to lift the trophy as the underdogs, the last time something similar happened when majority of the top 6 teams were playing badly that season, Leicester city won the title after Chelsea ended the hopes of Tottenham Hotspur to win the title at the last day of the tournament when Eden Hazard destroyed the Tottenham Hotspur team. Arsenal thew their opportunity away after Manchester city gifted them the trophies but because of the lack of experience from Arteta, he floped and gave his boss (Pep Guardiola) the tittle. Last season wasn't a good one for the top premier league clubs as smaller teams were dominating.

But this season is going to be different because you can see the top teams trying to make adjustments to their squad and teams like Chelsea is letting go of all the old players that are feeling too big to play for the club and recruiting new youngster to play for them. Liverpool are also in the transfer market looking for players to revive the club as well as Arsenal strengthening their midfield to be able to compete for the title next season. It'll be a shame to the premier league if Manchester city wins it again making it a fourth consecutive wins which is exactly what's happening at the other leagues that we're calling farmers leagues.

Newcastle United is cooking a competitive team 2x stronger and better than the previous season performance and @google+ you're right saying Barnes made a right choice moving to Newcastle s they are not just competing in the champion's league next season but also in the EPL they now have an eye for the top four position on the EPL table and just like Leicester city in the 2015/16 season I won't be surprised seeing Newcastle united winning the EPL title two seasons from now with the pace at which they club management are building the club.  This was how Chelsea took up the stage winning titles all over Europe when  Roman Abramovich took over the club in 2003 putting Chelsea at a limelight in the EPL and Europe.

I think every team in the Champions League needs to follow Manchester City. Teams should think about what kind of tactics Man City is applying. I hope the rest of the teams will perform well this season. I want the Premier League to become more competitive.

we have to be realistic for this season, even though Man United and Arsenal are building strong squads but Man City's dominance seems difficult for opponents. because this season is the prime peak of Man City. They dominated the English League for six years, and only once did they not get the EPL title when it was picked up by Liverpool. Almost every season, Man City has never failed to win the title. Last season they were also able to catch Man United's two achievements in one season, Treble and Three-peat EP. So it's only natural that this season Man City remains the favorite to win the EPL league title.

Nicolas Jackson in that game was not too disappointing, it seems that Chelsea signings in this summer transfer window looks pretty good. As a young striker he's not too bad playing in the EPL, although it's a friendly match but his physical endurance is quite good. Yes, Chelsea look like playing more effectively now but I think Chelsea still have to improve their defense again. Because their defense is not too tight, as you said statistically Brighton has more shoot attempts.

The thing is that the Premier league is going to be a tough one next season and there would be a very strong competition for top 4 battle teams like Chelsea and Liverpool would challenge very well this season and I think I would be tough for the defending champions to win the trophy again, if you notice, they've lost a player who help them challenge for the treble to Barcelona and also Mahrez to a Saudi side though I still have fate in Pep to do his magic but it's not going to come easy, defending all three troophies they won.
 Pouchettino is a very good coach as has the quality to transform the Chelsea team to title contenders once more and he's already trimming the squad and removed many players that would be a treat to his style of play, the current squad is filled with young and talented players like Madueke, Enzo Fernandes, and Mudryk, that people should watch out for next season, against Brighton it's was a wonderful performance from the blues in winning their first pre-season match against a strong Premier league side.

Newcastle are building more solid squad by recruiting young players in order to stay competitive for long time. The team was playing near the relegation zone and suddenly they were in the top positions. They are fine financially and in the ranking although they didn't bring big names. I find it a nice investment if we compare it with what Saudi teams are doing this season.

since Newcastle United was bought by Mohammed Bin Salman, where Newcastle United immediately changed drastically from their status to being the richest team or having stronger finances under the ownership of Mohammed Bin Salman. Having a financially strong enough will allow Newcastle to be able to bring in players with a high sale value and this has happened after Newcastle United bought Tonali from Ac milan for €70 million in this transfer window. With strong financial strength, it will make Newcastle United management more active in this transfer window to buy players, especially with their status playing in the Champions League, the attraction for the player to join them.

Maybe Newcastle United will focus on signing a defender after they managed to get Tonali and Barnes. Yes, the defense is a job for Howe to increase their strength for next season. Well finally Newcastle got the right player, we previously suspected that Newcastle United would sign a new player on the Left Winger as Allan Saint Maximin is expected to move to the Saudi league in the near future it's just that we didn't suspect that Harvey Barnes was Eddie Howe's choice, Harvey Barnes will replace Allan Saint Maximin as Left Winger besides that he can be placed in the position of Attacking Midfielder if needed at any time. I also checked Harvey Barnes' performance statistics while playing in the Premier League and he has a better record than Allan Saint 35 goals + 25 assists and next season he has the potential to set a new record for scoring the first goal in the Champions League.

Let’s wait for the league to fully commence, if possible when the league is already halfway through, then we can predict who’ll likely be the title winner. Just like you’ve said, the league title will be highly competitive and contested this season than the previous one. Just like the title contender and first four team to top the league for a the champions league spot will be contested, so is that of the Europa League spot too. So I expect to see a general competitive season throughout the upcoming premier league season.

Chelsea was using a lot of new players. The chemistry has not yet synchronized between one to another player. that's a huge progress being made by chelsea. Chelsea never won against brighton last season. This is a huge improvement that was happening with chelsea. That proves that if the young player was also very capable in beating the team like brighton. Even though some goals being made after brighton get 1 red card. Chelsea is now slowly coming back again to the right track. As long as todd will not be invervening the club and everything is fine.
All of young players are feeling so happy caused by pochettino has given all of them time to play as starting line up. Hopefully chelsea will able to build the chemistry to be even better.

Both of these teams experienced a not-so-good run in the previous season and failed to close the season in the top 4 which can be said to be a setback in their journey last season. But seeing the changes that have occurred so far, it is certain that these two teams have made improvements in their squad depth by bringing in quality players in this transfer window.

Even for Liverpool they will play in the European league next season which is a setback for them after winning the EPL trophy in the 2019/2020 season. But yes, there are indeed ups and downs that occur in the team, even for Manchester United, they seem to have found the missing strength after several seasons of not playing in the champions league. But since manchester united has been cared for by erik ten hag they have been reborn as a strong team in the epl and will try their best next season in the champions league. The English Premier League would be extremely competitive, with only the most outstanding team winning the championship. Gamblers have already begun to formulate their betting strategy and forecasts for the next season. A competitive season for everyone; we know which clubs will rebound and who will continue to have dismal records. Chelsea and Liverpool were in dreadful form last season, but they will undoubtedly improve this season.
