Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024

In today's matches I do not expect any surprises and I bet on the victories of the favorites, i.e. City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd. All teams are playing against much lower ranked opponents and any loss of points in this Premiership series will be very painful.

Manchester United are going to play an away game against Norwich this evening. And normally, this is one of the most comfortable games for Manchester United. Norwich have been really terrible and they are at the last position in the standings. And Manchester United are newly recovering by Rangnick's taking over. This is another golden opportunity for them to maintain their winning streak. Unless Manchester United perform poorly in defense, I see no chance for Norwich to even draw with them.

Manchester United performed quite well last week when they beat Crystal Palace even though the score was narrow 1-0, the tight pressing displayed by Ralf Rangnick's men made it difficult for the opposing team to create chances and even score a return goal, but the tactics used by Ralf Rangnick needed strong stamina and players are required to press tight for 90 minutes. Against Norwich City can Manchester United be able to win or not.

I have said this before now that we should not criticized or praise Rangnick we should watch his next 4 premier games before we judge his performance,the crystal palace game yea Manchester played better than their previous performances a month ago but truth be said they were not exceptional on that day,they just ran more and look more determine to prove a point.

Chelsea are gradually loosing the way to lift the title because of injuries although that’s part of football but I think Thomas Tuchel made a mistake by letting Giimour leave for Norwich, he would have been a perfect replacement for Jorginho or Kante or kolvaic than singing Saul from althletico who can not adapt to Epl. Tuchel should also understand that his attackers are not scoring because the midfield are not providing assist which is very important in football, he’s missing creativity and that’s what I think is obtainable

Match between Manchester City  vs wolves is getting interested but no goal yet for the two teams. With my prediction in this game I believe Manchester City will end up with the highest goal in today's game.

Man city need to let go of some players really, the like of Sterling at the moment has missed good opportunities to put Manchester city ahead although i really like his runs around the goal sometimes. It's not like Manchester city are so bad at the moment, it is actually that the wolves are playing solidly formation wise. If they get a goal first, Manchester city will have to perform extra to get points from this game to stay top of the table.

I guess the best way to beat Brentford is to fight with them head on offensively instead of focusing only on defense after taking the lead against Brentford. The players of Brentford have strong mentality to handle the pressure when their team are behind in goals and they always seems to be able to score late goals against their opponents, Watford paid a heavy price today losing to Brentford by choosing to defend instead of continuing to attack.

I expected this to happen in the second half. Watford didn't try to score a second goal and they paid the bill double. Not even a draw, they received 2 goals in the last 10 minutes + extra time.

This Manchester city versus Wolves match seems like a match full of injuries and red cards to come. I don't like the tone this match has set and i see this to have absorbed a lot of energy out of the match to make it low scoring. And funny thing is wolves is playing like they are on their turf looking at how city as got the two yellow cards.

Even after the next four games it is difficult to really seriously judge his performance. I know coaches often say they need time and bla bla, but in this case I can understand if a coach would at least need 2 months or so until you can really develop an opinion about his coaching qualities. Though I am also excited to see how Manchester United will do over the next couple of weeks. Maybe Rangnick is able to get things done faster than usually.

Manchester City are playing against the Wolves at home. Neither team scored in half time. Manchester City should score full points in this match. Firstly it is their home match, secondly the Wolves are not a very strong team. Moreover, now the points gap between the teams at the top of the points table is very small. If a team fails to score full points then they will lose their place in the points table. Manchester City are now at the top of the table. If they do not win today's match, Liverpool or Chelsea will move to the top of the table.

Is almost amazing how the game is still in a 0 - 0 draw. I can't imagine Man City not taking the win, especially now that the Wolves are playing with one less player. At least two goals on the second half and both on City's side.

The first half of the City and Wolves match was quite boring.  Even though City were able to control the game, their attack strategy was still very weak.  Several shots on goal have not been able to score.  Even though the current condition of Wolves is only 10 players after the red card received by Jimenez.  In the second half, I hope City are not that weak because the red card the opponent got was an advantage for them.  Moreover, City is the team with the best 3 positions at the moment.

Wolverhampton were down to ten men and Raul Jimenez was sent off for receiving two yellow cards in one minute and it was the fastest two yellow cards in EPL competition this season, the first for a foul and the second for blocking a free kick.
Manchester City had to take chances and had to score goals but Wolverhampton's defense in the first half was excellent and it looks like Wolverhampton's second half will focus on defending and only capitalizing on the counter-attack if the opportunity presents itself.

City's dominance is very high in this match. Wolves are pretty good at the start. but now City leads 1-0 through Sterling's penalty. 10 minutes remaining, I hope City gets the goal to complete today's win.
because seeing the dominance of the City is very large in possession of the ball. not to mention they are superior in several players. only 1 goal I guess not the result the fans expected.

Now manchester city leads 1-0 with a goal scored by sterling from a penalty kick, after wolves got a red card at the end of the first half made manchester city play quite freely in attacking the wolves defense, but unfortunately the referee had to give a penalty due to a wolves player (moutinho)touching the ball with his arm, looks like in today match manchester city got a lot of luck  to be able to win the match.
