Another point loss from Chelsea.  The match with Wolverhampton ended in a goalless draw.  Liverpool drew 2-2 with Tottenham.  Robertson was left out of the game with a red card.  Manchester City beat Newcastle United 4-0.  With this result, City increased the points gap with Liverpool to 3 points.  Chelsea are 6 points behind Manchester City.

Chelsea and Liverpool are both losing points and allowing City a comfortable distance. I hope that soon we will see a decline in City - otherwise there is a risk that it will be a boring championship again where the leader has a large lead and even a couple of failures do not threaten his position. I would like to see the competition until the last round.

I want to see competition until the last week.  Maybe that's why I want Dortmund to lead the Bundesliga.  Bayern dominate the league every year.  Anyway, we know that the competition in the Premier League is at a high level.  We know that Manchester City are playing very good football.  However, they will definitely lose points in the coming days.  This is the Premier League.  Every team has a chance to win.  I also think that Newcastle United will be a team that will cause difficulties to other teams with their halftime transfers.

Tottenham created a lot of chances to score, which they were obliged to implement and win in this match. Tottenham created lot of chances to score, yes but they can not win the match, it's bad for them. However, to be fair, they were very luckily because Kane were not sent off after his dangerous foul in first half. In the second half, Liverpool lost one player because of a same foul. Kane got advantage of his captain band in England squad in this case. A little bit softer decision from a referee, with a yellow card rather than a red car and even no VAR in this case.

Yeah Spurs were good but honestly it was Liverpool without Van Dijk is what allowed Spurs to put much pressure. There were many chances for Spurs but they failed to make most of it and Liverpool took their chance well and but Spurs levelled it right back. Honestly it would have been much more hard for Spurs to score if Van Dijk would have been there. But anyway it was a good and entertaining match.

Please don't think if Liverpool have Van Dijk they can restrict Tottenham better. They had big lost even with Van Dijk and remember that Van Dijk is not in his best after recover from a serious injury last season.

A draw is fair for two teams and I see they made a very exciting match that deserves as a Superb Sunday in Premier League.

Liverpool were playing like always but Tottenham's performance was really great compared to before.

livepool was playing very poorly on defense, making mistakes that were not normal for liverpool to commit, it seemed that yesterday Manchester united had lent livepool all the bad defensive strategy, it's not as if tottenham were very strong, tottenham was taking advantage of an extremely weak defense that liverpool had, just see that even liverpool's goalkeeper was making some strange mistakes

ThBy the way, the red card for Robertson was fair but Kane also should have been shown a red card after his very dangerous tackle.

I wonder where the hell the VAR was, there were two penalties that were ignored

It's not enough to guarantee that Van Dijk's Liverpool can overcome the midfield and the back, but we'll see if Tottenham play a good game, of course it's a balanced result because I saw that from the attacking game.
The best chance would still be at Tottenham but it still failed and it wasn't as easy as imagined but SON failed to outwit the Liverpool goalkeeper so the ball was easily overturned.
Well this is a fair result the game is quite entertaining indeed.

The absence of Van Dijk gave Tottenham more space to compromise weakeness in Liverpool's defense but they failed to score more than 2 goals. Liverpool managed to score 2 goals and end the match with 1 point without Van Dijk. Good enough for The Kop but not for Tottenham because they lost 2 points and are falling behind Arsenal in top 4 racing.

In my opinion, Kane is a "striker" goal machine while Son is a player who has multiple roles, both goalscoring and assisting. They help each other and both are important players in Conte's scheme of play this season.

After arrival of Conte few good things happening for Tottenham, and now they are playing with new energy which is alarming for few teams which are fighting hard for remaining spot for Champions League as top 3 already booked. This new fight will increase some good entertainment, but now Covid-19 is very serious issue because if authorities unable to control this then surely we are heading for another suspension or delay. They need some stick rules and if they want then matches behind closed doors are also OK because fans need continuation of this League instead of suspension or delay.

There will not be suspension as the previous season but delaying few games is possible unless everyone got sick at the same time.
Conte joining the team was associated with an improvement of the results of Spurs but I assume that resting more than the other teams, since Spurs didn't play in the last two rounds, could have an impact also. Kane and Son scoring at the same match was kinda rare these days also.
So far their games up to mid-January are quite easy then they will face Arsenal and Chelsea so until then we cannot judge Conte effect imo.

Son and Kane are both very experienced players. The Tottenham team is totally dependent on these two players. If Tottenham want to win the match, Kane and Son must play well together. He can play well and score goals when the team needs him. I would compare Kane to Benzema, who is a goal machine.

It was really satisfying to see Harry Kane scoring his first goal in the Premier League after Conte's starting his job here. He needed to score so bad as he got only one goal in the league before this match. And actually, he could have scored one or two more goals if he benefited from the critical chances well. In a very tight schedule, things are going to get really worse in case we see many postponements again. This will most probably cause the season to end on a later date in the next summer. And players would have much less time to rest and get rid of the high stress of the past season. The biggest way to prevent the situation from getting much more serious is being vaccinated. So I hope that the players who have been obstinate about not taking the jab take it finally and contribute positively to this situation.

I am not entirely sure if it can go on like this. The covid cases seems to be resulting with a lot of postponed matches and with the games getting closer and closer to each other, it will be al ot more games being postponed all together as well. Like for example if you have one game on 1st, then another at 8th and another at 15th, when a problem happens at third, you can still play at 15th whereas when there are games at 1st 4th and 8th and 12th and 16th, you gotta postpone at least 3 games in that case.

This is why I am guessing that there will be more and more games will end up getting postponed. Hopefully we will see these covid numbers drop once again, doesn't look like it is going to happen anytime soon and this new variant will cause it to keep going up. I guess we are going to live that bad period all over again if players keep getting positive results.

Tottenham really challenged Liverpool in their last match, they didn't give Liverpool any chance at all. All top teams that are not in top four position should play like they got nothing to lose. Its either champions league or nothing at this stage for them. Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea will most likely lock in the top 4 but the last spot is pretty much still open. I actually doubt that Tottenham might make it to the last spot because Manchester United, Arsenal and probably West Ham might take the last one

Cheering for United obviously for the last spot but we'll see though, EPL is pretty tough league after all and pretty much anything can happen at this point

The calendar of games is really tough for Leeds, on the other hand, if now they have tough matches, then before that they had periods much easier. I don't think Leeds is really in danger of being knocked out, but if Newcastle does start to rise from the bottom it will turn into a real danger.

Some COVID numbers have been emerging from the PL lately - rumors say that 23% of PL players are still unvaccinated - 16% have not received a single dose and additional 7% have received only one. There were 90 COVID positive players last week, which is the biggest number so far.

The PL is seriously considering playing behind closed doors again, but so far they plan to continue with the current schedule whenever possible.
Games are being cut where they could - FA cup will not have replays in 3rd and 4th rounds to make room for postponed fixtures.

I do not  understand when you said son is more of s playmaker than Harry Kane, my friend have you check Kane statistics,don't go too far last season Kane had 14 assist the highest in the league, against Southampton last season son scored four goals and Harry Kane provide all the four goals,he has been playing deep forward games for sessions now and adding assist to his game for years now, Son is more skillful and can play in wide positions that Kane can't.
