There is something Chelsea and Brighton are not telling the public. In my opinion, It is either Chelsea may have been looking for a low-budget manager or the decision to hire Potter may have been politically motivated. Why would they hire someone with no trophy record? Potter only won the Swedish Cup during his career. Well they just need to forget the fact that he's (T.Tuchel) no longer part of them and focus on getting back to winning ways and hitting that top 4 position to enable them play Champions league football next season because I don't see them getting a chance to win the UCL this season.

They can still do it, but with the current conditions, especially from a coach's point of view, as you said, this is quite difficult. Potter still can't find a good rhythm in their scheme even though in some matches they are always able to secure possession of the ball but on the other hand their goal productivity is still very bad so I doubt the Champions League even though they can still keep up with several big clubs.

Chelsea is currently ranked 10th, they need at least 9 points to be in the top 5 at the end of the season. Chelsea has 11 difference points with the team who in the 4th position Tottenham and mathematically these points still possible to be achieved but considering other teams such as Liverpool or Newcastle has same target just like them i think Chelsea chances to finish at that position is almost be closed and in my opinion we can judge their final position in the next few matches that if Potter can improved Chelsea performance for upcoming matches i think there is good chances for Chelsea to finish at higher position than now
