I bet on Brighton, I almost gave up when I saw the game almost ended in a draw. but a penalty saved Brighton.
This result also brought Brighton up in the standings, shifting Tottenham and Aston Villa. this is a great result for Brighton. but not good for Man United because the difference in points is getting smaller and threatened to be displaced by Liverpool who are showing an improving game.

Brighton's in the past two months has had a better result than Manchester United and that's why I think bookmakers backed them to win against Manchester United despite the fact that United defeated them in the semi finals of the FA cup on penalty shoot-outs.

That drama was not necessary from Manchester United, the two teams defenders were aggresive but the tension should have calm and played with sense because die minute are sometimes dangerous and Shaw felt for it, this match should have been either 1 or 3 point for manchester United but they have ended up advancing Brighton to 6th place in the table, we now have tight teams all arrange in the table trying to over take each other.

Premier League is displaying what is known for, the competition is now tough than how it was from the beginning of this season by different club but if I were to arrange clubs that will make the top 6 in the table in my order are: Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle, Liverpool and Tottenham. Lot of people will say I don't know what I'm predicting but Arsenal is my dream and they will win this title.

There is many races in EPL actually. Arsenal missed the opportunity of running alone and they are now following City for the hunt of the first rank. There is a battle for the remaining 2 spots of Champions League that Spurs seems to not want it after its bad results lately. Even ManU are missing points. Liverpool are advancing good but they are late and Brighton still lacks 2 goals. Here we are talking also about Europa League and Conference League spots. BTW Spurs might risk being kicked from all of them.
The relegation zone is still sensitive with many teams having a very close points gap. Southampton are almost out. The other teams aren't safe.

Brighton winning against Manchester United should not be a surprise to anyone. Haven't you been watching them? They are a very dominant team. They approach every team they play without fear. You saw how they destroy wolves on Saturday last week. They are a very good team. But aside from that, Manchester United played badly. It was an average performance from Man United. De Gea was an outstanding player for Man United, If not for him, United would have conceded more that this one goal.

It was some way to lose by Manchester United today and if we are being frank to ourselves, Brighton Hove Albion played better football than we can say fir Manchester United. Yes them both made the game entertaining, the chances where not lacking and they sure did make the goalkeepers come by some good saves but, it took till the last minute to find an opening with that penalty shoot.

Luke Shaw practically sold the match for Brighton Hove Albion today and I don't see how the referee shouldn't have called in on a penalty.

There was nothing wrong about the timing. The final minutes of added time was besieged with corners and series of attacks around the box until the Luke Shaw moment presented itself. Few minutes in communication with the VAR team, getting to see for himself @Referee, MacAllister taking the penalty and seconds for a restart. Ain't nothing unusual about that.

I too feel disappointed with this result. but actually the defeat of Manchester United by Brighton is no longer surprising. because in the last 3 meetings before this match Brighton won more matches. Manchester United's only victory was in the FA Cup through penalties.

But I also really regretted the extra time in the second half which was too wide and made Brighton win dramatically through a penalty. I also expect a draw in this match. but because the extra time was too long, it actually made me lose the bet.

There are 5 matches left for Manchester United at the moment even though looking at the condition of the clubs they will be playing against are below them in terms of performance but there are still some really troublesome matches.
Now they have to be willing with a 2 point gap from Newcastle but that can still be pursued and even if they can't, they still have to win the Champions League position this season.

They have tried their best, it's just that in this match, Brighton was much better and with their condition, which did have an even squad, the scheme that Manchester United carried out was chaotic.

I am not at all surprised by the defeat of Manchester United in this match. I would not say that Manchester United's performance was very good in this match. Brighton's players put in a great performance. And I would say they deserve this win. However, Brighton were very lucky to win. I do respect your all analyses about this all but if you are able to check remaining matches then go ahead because I just check and having feeling most chances we are not going to have any change in top four spots because just Brighton is the toughest side, but they have three matches against Newcastle United, Arsenal and Manchester City which are never been easy so with this all Liverpool and Tottenham are already lost their chance for the top four so most chances we will have Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United as top four with Liverpool, Aston Villa and Brighton will be fight for the remaining three spots and Tottenham after having the worst time in last few weeks going to be out of the top seven.
