I agree that they have to win, still Chelsea has to win and that is a heavy load to bear, particularly when they are not particularly on a hot streak.

It's very funny if you make the parable for Chelsea playing against Luton to be a measure of success or revival for Chelsea. I think this season will be very different, the Chelsea management have understood how the situation in football is not instantaneous. I'm pretty sure about Pochettino's future and he will definitely do the best job he can to bring change to the London outfit.

I tend to agree with your opinion instead of expecting Chelsea to fail miserably again this season. Pochettino has experience in the Premier League and that can help Chelsea get into good form sooner or later. Pochettino needs time and hard work to get his players to perform in high spirits in every game, but of course it won't be as instant as some people hope.

When a child make a mistake, the first time the parent may overlook and give warning, the second time will be warning as well but as soon as the same mistake is repeated over and over, the parent that value discipline will spank the child not to make the same mistake again, but Chelsea situation is not improving, they are now behaving like they will soon live premier League and go relegation, If Pochetinno failed to put them in good form, it is going to be a long hate for the fans they will recieve from the fans that hate Chelsea.

It been more than a year since Chelsea lose match to Lutton Town, there next meet is between Chelsea and if they win this one, it will reduce the pressure and Chelsea will be free from draggings but if they win or equalized with Luton Town, I don't know how the fan base will react but it is not going to be funny.

One thing I have noticed about Pep is that he does not sign players anyhow,he looks carefully before he signes any player,and any player pep identifies is always a a special player that is capable of playing and meeting up to satisfaction.I believe Pep believes so much in him that he will improve his team that's why he went for him,and signed him.Therefore, we'll be looking forward to seeing the player get his minutes under Pep,and how well he performs.Jeremy Doku will actually be under pressure to perform immediately because the fans see him as a replacement to Mahrez,and it is yet to be seen whether the player can match Mahrez performance or not.Or he will end up being a flop at Etihad stadium.

I believe that a player should be given a comfortable role in order to perform to the expectations. Mount has played in attacking midfield most often for Chelsea and at United he is given rather a defensive midfield role so if someone is expecting a very good performance then they have to wait. I think he will adjust to attacking midfield at United very quickly but that position is occupied by Fernandes right now because he is much better option when it comes to creating chances and finding spaces.

Indeed. A player should play in their main position to make him easier showing his best form. The main position of Mason Mount is attacking midfield, Ten Hag must put him in that position. Moreover, Mason Mount just joined Man United, he needs time to adapt with Man United tactics and the whole players of Man United. Mason Mount never played as a defensive midfield, he only could play as a central midfielder. It is totally a new position if Ten Hag wants him to play as a defensive midfield. The context of the word "play well" may only refer to possession but not anything else.
The 2 matches they did, their finishing was really very poor. On the other hand, their defense is always troubled in anticipation of counterattacks by the opponent which makes them look confused and eventually concede the ball.
In terms of possession of the ball I do not doubt Chelsea even from last season also their possession of the ball remains very good it's just that with some gaps and deficiencies they do actually still the same and there is no significant difference in terms of finishing last season and 2 matches this season.

The return of Gabriel Jesus will add strength to Arsenal's front and Arteta also has many options to make formations more varied. Even though Arsenal have won a clean sweep, in my opinion they have not really been tested, but even so I feel optimistic about the Gunners' chances this season because a new player like Kai Havertz will give a different color to the team this season. I think the lack of attack in Arsenal squad of the first two matches was as result of the formation the manager used for the team, the players were not fully comfortable with their roles especially Thomas Partey who play full back position instead of playing in the midfield, and I think Havertz is not yet fully integrated into the team because he still makes some errors while playing, as a result of that we have less attack.

Moreover, the new formation is not favorable to our wingers because as we can see, Bukayo Saka was struggling to have chances because he has no support from the full back. I think if Arsenal use this formation against any top team they might lose, instead they should play their normal back four, then play Partey, Rice and Odegard in the midfield, and finally Jesus at the top.

You sound as if the Luton you are referring to has already been beaten by the Chelsea team, although expectations are very high for them to actually get their first victory through this game but we still have to look at odds of possibilities of them securing a draw or even a lose because it's football you never can tell. Chelsea has bought a total of 19 players in 2023, yet no improvement in their games so far, these player are not good enough for Chelsea, this will make the club suffer more this season, regardless the experienced coach they hired. Chelsea are going to win but judging from the last game against West Ham, they might lose again that's if the coach continue with that weak formation and with the players misusing their opportunities.
The team lack that togetherness, they weren't playing as a unit that cost them the game. Sterling was the one creating chances making enough effort to make sure his team get a goal or two.
I have never seen Sterling play like that with so much energy since he left City to join the Blues, if he continues like that I believe Chelsea will get a comfortable win against Luton tomorrow.

The Belgian is a quality winger; with excellent ability to beat the press and also beat a player in a one on one scenario; i dare to say a proper Mahrez replacement. Its been an excellent summer for the Manchester City side. With that city amazing side; Doku will turn out to be a world beater in a few years from now.

Surely Chelsea needs time to be able to show its best game and be able to give victory to its fans. However, we have seen that their game development has been quite unstable in the last two matches which has made them seem to have found it difficult at the start of this season.

Pochettino is also burdened with the tough task of bringing progress to Chelsea renaissance because he has been given a large budget to make changes in team depth in this transfer window, so if Pochettino fails to deliver a win maybe he won't last long with Chelsea.

That is quite reasonable because in terms of strength and skill Chelsea are far above their opponents, it's just that when playing on the field it depends on their performance 90 minutes on the field.
Cheslea is currently still unable to make a breakthrough that can be appreciated because its performance still tends to be stagnant and not much different from before so this is a tough test for them especially this season is a transition for them to be able to do better with new schemes and overhauls made.

Luton is a promoted club this season so this could be a good win if Chelsea can get 3 points but if this does not happen then they must be prepared with a lot of slanted comments against them after the match.

That's what I thought too when Harry Kane left. When they played against Manchester United I had a feeling that that will be the game that tells us where Tottenham Hotspurs is at and whether they are able to replace Harry Kane good enough to still be taken seriously by teams like Manchester United. The current manager of Tottenham Hotspur Ange Postecoglou has shown that he's a very skilled and experienced manager who can successfully bring out the best from his Tottenham squad without the presence of Harry Kane at the club.

There is nothing wrong with the strategy of Manchester United coach. We all have watched him when he was in Ajax and we saw that his strategy paid off. He is known for being discipline and his pattern of play is high pressing. That is why he always need energetic and young players who will be able to cover high km while on the pitch. The major problem of Manchester United is average players.

There are no or no much world class players in Manchester United squad that will achieve what their coach wants. Their frontline is poor and midfield is also poor. The defence line is not organised. So Manchester United need to invest in good players in order for Eric strategy to work effectively.

Currently Manchester United has quality players in almost every line.
This is just the start of the season so we can't conclude anything, last season Ten Hag managed to improve Manchester United's performance with proof they managed to start in the top 4 but indeed what happened at the start of this season was a little disappointing.
Erik Ten Hag has made this team what he wants, slowly and indeed this squad is still not perfect especially up front they haven't played well until now, but I think this is what is called a process, we as fans just need to be patient just.
Regarding strategy, I don't doubt Ten Hag, he has proven it with Manchester United last season and with Ajax a few seasons before.
