You're right, the strategy Arteta used today no one saw that coming and I got really happy seeing Arsenal dominating, today Arteta and his boys didn't just dominate but rather they scored more goals, I love the changes Arteta made and if you observed the match you will find out that the last changes made the team more strong and at that time everyone played with their effort, nice job from Martinelli and I'm hoping the gunners will defeat Nottm Forest.
Concerning the poor performance from Crystal Palace although they made a little effort but it was not even enough to fight back and Arsenal took advantage of their weakness, I believe this win today shows Arsenal are fully back .

Arteta did used a very brilliant strategy and it did yield the results they desired to get from the strategy but then I don't think it's enough to celebrate that much because they won against a team that isn't team that we expected Arsenal to have performed any leads against even in their weak form.

Crystal palace is normally very inconsistent this season, sometimes they have got very good performance but at some point they do even much lesser than they have ever been so I wasn't really surprised see them perform that poor against Arsenal, arteta should be able to maintain the tactics he used today but then he should further improve because this tactics may not work on other team if the way it did on palace because of their weak form if it were to be other teams with better form in the premier league, they are definitely going to give Arsenal a tough time and the goals wouldn't be that much.

Arsenal's victory with a quite extraordinary score has made Arsenal return to third place in the standings and this is clearly quite good for Arsenal because they can still be in the running for the title this season. However, of the five goals scored, one of them was an own goal from a Crystal Palace player, although I also have to praise the action of one of the Arsenal players who was able to score two goals in the final minutes of the match. He is Gabriel Martinelli, so Arsenal really deserved to celebrate this victory at home.

Now Arsenal has left behind their recent bad results and are looking in great shape.Whatever teams that is able to score 5 goals in a single game shows that their form is one of the best and that is also great because they are back for the title fight.Now they have one game less than the leaders yet they are just 2 point behind,no one can guarantee that the leaders will not make errors during these 17 weeks remaining to be played in the Premier League which equals to a lot of points being in play and the distance Arsenal has now is really short to the leaders.I think Arsenal needs to focus on their games and not care what happens with the other teams,they need to win all the remaining games and in the last week see where they are,winning the title or not.

I also had doubts about Arsenal's current condition, friend. But after they managed to get a 2 goal lead in the first half, I think my hesitation was a mistake.
Initially I was going to bet on Arsenal but I then passed on it because of the doubts I had.

But even though Arsenal will win this match, I still feel that Arsenal have not completely returned to their best performance. Because Crystal Palace was actually quite good in this match. It's just that they haven't been able to take advantage of the opportunity well.

They are in control of the game against Crystal Palace for now, but I wonder if they will allow Crystal Palace a goal that brings them back into the game and then Arsenal would get themselves into trouble in a game that they should have won easily by then. It has been a problem a few times now that they didn't end the game before the final whistle was blown. It needs one goal for Crystal Palace and the action is back in the game. They should try to score the third goal and then they can lean back. But Arsenal sometimes does that too early.

Well Arsenal did. They scored 2 goals in the first half and 3 goals in the second half.

Mikel Arteta seems to have been able to improve their attack line which in recent weeks has become dull and has had difficulty scoring goals. But in this match everything has changed completely and yes scoring 5 goals in this match is even very surprising. After I and many people doubted them, it turned out that Arteta provided an answer through the results of the match that was won today by the team he coaches.
Now Arsenal just has to continue like this and I hope Arteta can have more strategies that keep Arsenal safely ranked in the top 4 or even win the title. For the time being, Arsenal has risen to 3rd place again.

Besides the fact that Arsenal even won, is the fact that I like the huge gap in the goal margin. I don't know about everyone, but am more concerned with Arsenal winning every match from now till the end of season with at least 3 goals in every outing.
I just hope this attack that Arteta is working on, gets used to the joy of scoring that they score in every match.

Arsenal's convincing win against Crystal Palace today simply means that Mikel Arteta's men are still very much in strong contention to win the English Premier League title. I was one of those who's already written them off for the English Premier League title and that's because of the fact that in their previous last four games before the game against Crystal Palace today in the league, they've only succeeded in picking up just one point.  However, after watching their performance today, I've been forced to think otherwise.

Mikel Arteta seems like he's done a lot of background work to bring bring a different tactical approach into the team and it actually worked well for them. Hopefully for them, they're gonna keep winning in coming weeks

Was Crystal Palace too bad or Arsenal too good? It is important for Mikel Arteta to get such a win after the bad performance tonight, but the important thing is that they achieve it consistently. Crystal Palace are a weak team and they do not have the strength to resist Arsenal.

I don't know what happened to Crystal Palace in today match.They were really embarrassed by Arsenal because Arsenal were able to score 4 goals plus 1 own goal. Indeed, Arsenal managed to come back quite well because Arsenal was able to win today match with a big score. For the time being we see Arsenal again approaching Manchester City and Liverpool who sit at the top of the standings. In today match Arsenal managed to score an early goal which made them more confident in today match and even a little polish from Arteta managed to bring Arsenal to an end to their bad streak.

Currently, Arsenal and Manchester City have the same points, where they have 43 points, but Manchester City has not yet played its 21st match, so there is an opportunity for Manchester to widen the gap with Arsenal. Aston Villa is starting to lose its best form, I think they have to concentrate well in the next match if they want to stay in the top 4.

Crystal Palace is weak to the extent of not scoring at least a one goal from their opponents arsenal, I think that this is the highest score arsenal has scored or win a team since this tournament, but I don't know for others but since tournament arsenal have not scored five zero to another if I'm not mistaken, I bet this match goal goal thinking that Crystal Palace will at least score one goal but they became lazy to the extent of arsenal scoring first and second goal and they did not understand where the loop hole is from and arsenal continues to score third goal, Crystal Palace is a disappointment in today's match

I wouldn't say that crystal palace was a disappointment as you said, because, there was never a time I was expecting them to beat Arsenal, you and I know that what would have been beyond shocking is if crystal palace had beaten Arsenal, or the match had ended in a draw, then we all will probably find Arsenal to be a very disappointing team, but here, the game ended just as most of us expected, though to be honest, i knew Arsenal would win, but not to the tone of scoring 5 goals, and no single goal from crystal palace, this takes me back to what I said in the other Premier league thread on this board that, it looks to me that crystal palace did not prepare themselves well to face Arsenal, because if they had, they should have atleast given Arsenal a very tough time, and Arsenal would not have scored up to five goals, even though they(Arsenal) would have still won at the end of the match.

Anyways, they say a man's food is another man's poison, crystal palace loss is Arsenal's win, and I did place a bet on Arsenal to win the match, so, it is also my win as well. 😁

For me Asernal and Crystal palace are not in the same category as clubs, and for that, we have to accept the overall fact that if we see that crystal palace was able to beat Asernal in any match be it now or in the future, it will only happen by miracle because Asernal is too big for Crystal to defeat just like that, so for that I never expected any positive outcome from the match and I am nit surprise to see that Arsenal win the match with multiple goals.

But also Crystal palace as an upcoming club who is hungry for records, will take any club by surprise when and if their have such opportunities to deliver and make any first attempt just like in some of the few matches.

The coaches can only work with what the clubs can provide them in order to execute their jobs; if the quality of the players or academy players is not enough, there is absolutely nothing the coach can do. This is how they protested against Patrick Vieira after one poor season after he led them to the top half of the table in his first season, and now they are stuck below . Sacking managers is.not going to help if the club is running in a low transfer budget.

I think it was about time for Arsenal to finally have their signature game and give no chance to other team to actually play football. They could have been on 1st place easily but somehow they messed 2 consecutive games with taking 0 points but with 3 points today they are back on 3rd place and with just 2 points behind Liverpool.

A pure destruction by Arsenal!    We are able to see them winning a game in the league finally. Because they failed doing so for the past three weeks. This affected their position in the title competition really significantly at the same time. This huge win by 5-0 can be some help for them to get on their feet again at least. But consistency will be key from now on. 

Even though Martinelli scored two goals Gabriel Jesus was still the man of the match if I'm not wrong. Gabriel Jesus couldn't score maybe but made an assist. If he improves his scoring productivity it would be really useful for Arsenal in the rest of the season.

Arsenal did win big today but that is not enough to prove that Arsenal have come back to the best performance and we have to wait for a few Arsenal matches going forward. But indeed Arsenal surprised us a little because of the impressive game, will Arsenal do it again against Liverpool?  based on the schedule, Arsenal will fight Liverpool in early February. Of course we would like it if the Premier League had 3 teams fighting for the trophy this season not only dominated by 2 teams like the previous season such as Manchester City and Liverpool.

The main mistake Palace management made was sacking Patric Viera that has been a very prolific coach for the team as he had gathered so many talented players for the team, but they sacked him just because he was not winning consistently which we all understand that it is the matter of time; now their new manager is doing well because some of these matches they are losing can not be a loss. After all, Viera knows how to play big teams to get at least one point in the match.

We Arsenal only lost one match and drew one in our last two Premier League matches. Winning Crystal this season is something that we are supposed to win them home and away because Palace is not in good form this season.

Crystal Palace was inferior and this is definitely a bad reputation for them against Gunners. They failed to net a single goal to show their supporters that they didn't relent, instead they settled and watch Arsenal devoured them. The eagles boss, Roy Hodgson who we all thought is experienced was shocked to see his team been humiliated, he made a big mistake today at Emirate stadium, he selected inappropriate lineup and that cause his team to record heavy defeats against Arsenal. 5-0 victory observed and a pure embarrassment for the eagles who did their best but of no good.

Crystal palace performance was very poor today, well I will say is because of the absent of olise because I strongly believe that,had it been olise was present in today's match,even if they didn't win the match at least the both team would have scored,it wouldn't have been this bad because I know what he's capable of doing.

More expecially ayew he's also a key player,I don't think if crystal palace can do without this key player's.there  previous match against  manchester city that ended up 2:2 this key players was present the match was very tough for manchester city,there's no crystal palace without this players.eze is also one of this key players I'm talking about,though his performance today was great he tried so hard but his effort was not enough,I pray for quick recovery olise we really missed you in today's match.

However,the gunners did absolutely well today if they should continue playing like this I guess they will be the champion this season.

I understand how painful it is for a fan when their club is not really performing very well, not to talk of watching your club being trashed 5-0 it can be very annoying and atimes get someone all emotional, however Crystal Palace should understand that.
1, despite the scoreline, Arsenal stood a better chance of winning the game cause they're a bigger team and were on their home ground.
2, every coach has to work with the budget the club provides for him, and sometimes the said budget can't provide the fans  with the kind of players they need in the club.
3, sacking this current coach, and employing a new manager at this stage could cause more harm than good.
4, their protest should rather be on the board, to increase the clubs transfer budget or get new players in the upcoming window.

 Atleast they're still in a position that's better than the relegation zone, they might not have a chance to fight for a place in an European competition so they should wok on avoiding the relegation spot and maintaining the midtable if possible

As for Liverpool, their schedule this January is not too heavy, they only have to play one match in the Premier League against Bournemouth.
That's why Liverpool can completely give Salah the right to rest in the next few weeks if he is unfortunately injured. The Premier League championship race still has a long way to go. This is just a temporary shortfall for Liverpool. Mancity should not be too hasty to rejoice and lose focus.

I have doubt that arsenal will no find the match difficult since their going to meet crystal palace and although that crystal palace is a weak team, and now that arsenal have returned with their full performance let's hope for victory. Furthermore arsenal can move to 3rd  place on the if the win while Liverpool can open up a 5point lead ahead of Manchester city, then Brighton can overtake Manchester United if they put much effort and get all 3 point against wolves, while west ham can able to move closer to top 4. The Arsenal match is about to start, therefore let's hope for win. I'm positive Arsenal will prevail.

I'm also positive, Arsenal will come out victorious against Crystal Palace but it's kind of challenging. Mikel Arteta wouldn't entertain any actions that would hinder him and his team from accumulating three points, we know how important it is for Arsenal to overcome their opponents. The match kickoff and its 25th minutes in play. Arsenal leading with 1-0 and this is probably one of the best styles to hold on the game. We should expects more exciting actions from the visitors at Emirates stadium, because they're also competitive.

At least the won against palace has been saving arsenal's reputation again. It will be blamed by a lot of people of arsenal can't win the game against palace. it makes me feel so excited with it. Emirates stadium has not become the good place for palace tonight.
The club was also making so many mistakes against arsenal. It's started from how the goal keeper of palace was playing so passively even though he was blocking some important shoots from arsenal but that's not enough.

Against Bournemouth tomorrow, I expect Liverpool to convincingly win Bournemouth and claim all three points from that particular game. Mohammed Salah who's been the club's best player for almost the last decade is currently participating in the CAF African Cup Of Nations and will be absent in the game but I still expect Liverpool to win.

It was a phenomenal game for Arsenal as they dominated in possession and got an easy win against Crystal palace, Arsenal getting 5 goals in the game shows how improved the team has become and the win will help to motivate them more to keep doing better so they don't end up dropping points again like they has always done in the previous season. The game didn't just prove that Arteta has got a better strategy for his team to carry on this season it also shows how much he's worked on the performance of his players as they had more control of the ball and utilize the chances they created to convert them to goals even when they were already leading Crystal Palace.
