If I'm not wrong Manchester City can take the lead from Liverpool if they manage to win their missing game. Manchester City will probably win that game which is Brentford as well. But until then they have to keep the point gap like this at worst. Maybe they can get ahead earlier as well in Salah's absence for Liverpool but we will see.

In short Liverpool must be fully aware of the big threat behind. In the meantime I'm curious about Arsenal too. Do you think they can rejoin the title competition? I really can't be sure of them because of the highly inconsistencies they have every season.

I don't see Arsenal playing to win the league title. They really started well at the beginning of the season but now they playing is just inconsistent. Although the league title is still much open but it mainly between Man city and Liverpool. Although alot of matches are still to be played, so no one can really say who the league title belongs to.

Going back to Man City's case, I think the problem is FFP. But looking at the details of the latest news, in 115 allegations there are other issues and I haven't got all the details. But in this news, Man City is in conspiracy charges during 2009-2018. The first issue is that the sposnsor agreement was not £50-60 million but actually amounted to £8 million and everything was fake. Perhaps because of the large number of allegations, the Man City case is moving slowly. If Everton and Nothingham Forest received a penalty of 10 points deduction, maybe Man City will be more severe, maybe relegation.

Arsenal still has the intention to join the race of the title. They showed to everyone that they still have motivation and ability to compete with Man City and Liverpool. However, I think Arsenal already wasted too many points in the previous matches. The current point gap is rather small, but they already missed the chance to lead the standings.

Yes, Arsenal could score 5 goals in the match against Crystal Palace. Arsenal really dominated the match, the stats could show it clearly. I really expect that Arsenal won't lose the chance to get full points anymore. They must keep their game like this game against Crystal Palace. If they can maintain the good performance like this match, it is still not impossible for Arsenal to win the title this season.

Manchester City's next five games are Burnley, Brentford, Everton, Chelsea, and Brentford (outstanding game), which appear to be fixtures in which they can easily take all points or drop at least two, so there is every chance that they will be at the top before next month, when Arsenal and Liverpool face off in another title contender matchup in Game Week 23, and a draw here could mean a lot to Manchester City.

I don't see Arsenal playing to win the league title. They really started well at the beginning of the season but now they playing is just inconsistent. Although the league title is still much open but it mainly between Man city and Liverpool. Although alot of matches are still to be played, so no one can really say who the league title belongs to.

There is no guarantee that the team challenging for the title will continue to win, be able to beat other contestants, and sweep all remaining matches in the future. There have been many surprises this season, and we have also seen several title-fighting clubs experience ups and downs in their performance. Brentford just recently saw Ivan Toney who was absent for over two hundred plus days returning and also scoring a beautiful freekick against Nothingham Forest yesterday.
Believe me it won't be one easy game for Manchester City. But, we'll see how it finally goes. Pep Guardiola's manchester City are weapons of destruction they're not one easy side to play.

Liverpool and Klopp knows the challenges that's ahead of em in the Premier League, it's with they go hard or go down below in the Premier League standing.

However, I feel the match will be a high scoring match as both teams can score multiples. West Ham are ahead on paper but I'm not putting Sheffield United behind, they could share the points.

I think there will be no enormous gap between both of clubs in the game. FA cup has become the match that proves that if the quality of club meant nothing. Westham was only able using the average player, but it's now facing a stronger club than the club who has beaten westham in FA cup.
This may be a horrible thing for westham caused by it must be facing sheffield. While Sheffield may have seemed like a weak club, it is important to recognize that they possessed enough strength to triumph over West.

Westham was not ahead on paper if the club keep use the garbage line up like the previous match. This is my primary concern regarding this. Anything is still possible for westham. It can win or lose against it.

Imagine how boring it would be if the same teams could claim the top 5 every season. Sometimes teams attract sponsors, find funding and get the opportunity to become more competitive in the championship. Chelsea and Manchester United are in a protracted crisis, it’s hard to say that they do not have sufficient funding, there is something else there, in the case of Manchester United, I believe that the reason there is that the club is trying to find some kind of alternative to the coach, when they just need to hire the best of the best. West Ham United recent decline in performance is not a good sign for the team. They started the season well but underperformed in their recent matches in the FA Cup. They have not won any match since the beginning of the new year and are currently in sixth position in the standings and maintaining a total of 34 points after playing 20 games. There’s no much point difference in points between them and Chelsea who are currently on 9th position. Any defeat for West Ham United in the league games will have them sent downward more on the standings. They need to adjust their game and get back to winning ways as soon as possible.

I can see that they want to get back to their winning ways to maintain a position in the top spot. I hope they can have a lasting solution to their inconsistency this time around. The league has gone far but it hasn’t reached the point that they’ll lose hope and can’t make it to the top spot again. Consistent win matters here and if they can do that, they won’t have problem reclaiming their first position if any of the team in the top spot also lose some points. Premier League is very competitive and unpredictable and that’s why it is the best league in the world to watch.

This is what makes the EPL the strongest and most competitive league because the competition between teams in the EPL is very difficult, every EPL team cannot be underestimated when taking part in the UCL and UEL competitions because the performance of the EPL teams is greater than other leagues so the EPL teams really feared by any team from another league.
The competition between the top 5 teams is still very tight right now because the difference in points is not too far and each of the top 5 teams each has the same big chance. Especially Arsenal, which is still a lot of people's talk because last season they failed to break defending champions Man City, but this season Arsenal is still trying hard at the top of the standings and is competing fiercely with Liverpool and Man City in the race for the title for the team that can maintain its consistency is the one that deserves to wins the EPL title this season.

I also see that the victory against Crystal Palace means Arsenal is now back on the winning track. Thanks to this victory, Arsenal can at least build positive momentum to continue advancing in the competition to win the Premier League this season. Moreover, thanks to this victory, Arsenal has now moved up to third place in the standings. They are now only two points away from Liverpool who are at the top of the standings.

New weekend, new opportunities. I am a bit interesting in Sheffield Utd - West Ham to play a straight 2 (West Ham as winners) to 2.3 odd but a bit scared for the draw. I don't think Sheffield will win, but I also think West Ham isn't as good as the table show's even tho they been amazing lately in PL against the top teams, but so often after a good run like that a plumb often comes and Kudus is away but I don't think it will be a huge impact.
Anyone with some ideas here? I would love to play a straight 2 to 2.3 odd.. but the draw is making me afraid.

What i know is that, untill the league is over no one can be certain of which that is going to win the EPL title. There are lots of matches to be played and teams that are in top 5 in the EPL table currently will win, draw or lose in the matches left. This is one feature i love about the EPL competition there is nothing like semi final, quarter final or final to play. Its been calculated based on the points level and if para venture both team have the same EPL points they will chose the winner based on who has the highest goal.

Very interesting league to watch  if you are a football lover. Also the matches in the EPL are sometimes easily to prdict because there are teams who have consistently good performance so if you play them to win they probably would win.

With the way results have gone for last weekend and this, the 3pts is all that matters.

Manchester City are certainly very happy to hear this news and hope that Mohammed Salah will be absent for quite a long time. They can more easily take advantage of Liverpool's current situation and at any time can displace Liverpool at the top of the standings. De Bruyne's return is an improvement in performance for Manchester City and the absence of Mohammed Salah will be a disaster for Liverpool.

Salah's predicted injury is a hamstring injury. I think it won't be too serious. In the short term, the Egyptian team will be directly affected if Salah is absent. As for Liverpool, their schedule this January is not too heavy, they only have to play one match in the Premier League against Bournemouth.

Even relegation battling teams cannot be underrated especially at this stage of the league because they always play with full strength and zeal that is why I always agreed that premier league matches are always tough, lower and mid table clubs are always not easy to play against especially when they play top teams even Man City had lost some few of their matches to those clubs this season likewise Arsenal and Chelsea. Meanwhile Arsenal convincing win against Crystal Palace yesterday had relaunch their title bid once again I think from now on till the end of the season it going to be battle of the top teams even Aston Villa are pushing forward towards  challenging those top teams I believe there is going be a competitive matches ahead in EPL.

Just as someone said above, " No Kudus, No Party " and I'll come to agreement with whoever made that statement, he has been a vital player for them in the midfied against Manchester United and also against Arsenal. His absence hurts, but what can the hammers do about it?
Asides him, they're missing out on Lucas Paqueta who also got out Injured. Them both players had a good combination in midfied and lacking them both means difficulty today just as they had against Bolton.

This season, the Premier League has even become more competitive than last season. Just look at the points earned between ranks 2,3 and 4. They all have the same number of points, namely 43 points. The only difference is that Man City has only competed in 20 matches, so Man City can have more points than the teams ranked 2nd and 3rd which have competed in 21 matches.

Spurs, who are in 5th place, have a number of points that is not much different, namely 40 points and this also allows for rapid changes in the standings in the top 5. So every team currently cannot afford to lose even 1 point if they want to remain in the current ranking.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Newcastle still seem to be slumped in 9th and 10th place.

But this does prove that the Premier League is on a different level from other football competitions. And yes, I also know more names of players from the EPL.
