Though Aston Villa look strong and formidable now, would the able be to sustain their present form till the end of the season so as to clinch a UCL spot? I don't think so,  I am tipping Tottenham to qualify for the last spot, Arsenal though not a sure title contenders yet has the capability to clinch a top 4 spot, meanwhile the title race is between Liverpool and Man City for now though the overall distance in term of points between those top 5 is very close and narrow as you rightly said, however the more formidable team has the quality in terms of players and the depth to remain consistent in term of performance till the end of the league unlike Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham.

I not sure that Aston Villa will be able to maintain their position until the end of the season and be able to get tickets for the UCL.
What is clear is that Tottenham, who at the start of the season performed quite well and experienced setbacks, but now they are starting to slowly show stability in performance.
Tottenham will be a big threat for Aston Villa to maintain their place, it will be like Arsenal relegating them from third position and Tottenham will definitely do the same.
Aston Villa is pretty tough team but they will still be overtaken by Tottenham so Aston Villa opportunity for next season is not the UCL competition but the Europa League, moreover, if Aston Villa can be in the UCL competition I not sure they can last long.
Aston Villa does not have the ability to compete fiercely against other big teams such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG, Inter Milan or Manchester City when in the UCL competition.
Just being able to play in the Europa League and showing playing stability is already quite good achievement for Aston Villa and I sure they won't be ready for next season if they have to compete in the UCL.

Can Chelsea win the carabao cup ?

Middlesbrough should have lost back in the first match, but by some miracle Cole Palmer didn't score 2 or 3 100% goals then and so it looked like Middlesbrough had won and had a chance.

So it was natural that this time Chesley didn't even leave a chance and won convincingly with the score 6:1 and Cole Palmer finally scored his two goals. In general, his game Palmer something like Azar, when he played on the left flank of Chelsea, but it is obvious that Palmer still a little experience to gain and everything will go even better, although now he is one of the leaders of Chelsea in his 21 years is very good.

Is Chelsea going to win the CAB Cup? That won't happen, in my opinion. Chelsea played a very strong game yesterday, and I was even surprised by how well they defeated Middleborough 6-1. I wondered, "Is this the Chelsea that we know?" because since the start of the season, Chelsea had not scored four goals in the first half of a game until yesterday. And I really like how passionate Chelsea played yesterday, demonstrating to Middlebrough that they are the owners of standard bridge. I hope Chelsea can keep playing this way, as it will even please the fans.

Regarding Chelsea's chances of winning the Carabao Cup, it will be extremely difficult for anyone to predict that Chelsea will prevail because Liverpool is playing Fulham today and is very confident that they will win. Chelsea and Liverpool will play in the final, and Liverpool is better positioned to win the trophy than Chelsea. Despite Chelsea's performance yesterday, I don't think they will be able to defeat Liverpool, so we'll have to wait until the match day.

Truly Chelsea was excellent yesterday though still yet missed some good chances and I'm surprised they were not given Penalty after how Middlesbrough keeper reacted to Chilwell, when has about head the ball but Chelsea really did great to be able to get 6 goals.

The first game of this round was a disaster for Chelsea, but in the second game everyone knew that they had the advantage as they were the hosts.Middlesbrough knew that they would not make it through, but they played as a formality in a way.Although some things have improved at Chelsea, there is still a general lack of cohesion.If Pochettino manages to solve this as soon as possible, they will have a chance to finish higher in the league.

The match against Chelsea and Middlesbrough was actually a very interesting match to watch seeing how Chelsea were able to disorganized Middlesbrough defense and also there midfield, actually is been a while I saw Chelsea performing this good, one of the things I like about Chelsea on that match was that before the match started they have already identified the lapses of Middlesbrough so they focus on those areas as there target to penetrate Middlesbrough and it actually worked for them and the pressure was seriously much on Middlesbrough because Chelsea was facing them back and front perhaps that's why if you watch the match very closely you will see that Middlesbrough was not confident on that match because they barely hold ball for two minutes without being intercepted by Chelsea.

That's indeed another improvement from chelsea. It's caused by i was rarely seeing the performance from the club is good like the second half against middlesbourgh. The club becomes even more structured than before.
The first leg was crazy for chelsea caused by pochettino was doing stupid thing like put some players out of their positions. I can't even accept it and i have demanded club to sack him if he kept repeat the same mistake again.
Glad to see that pochettino has opened his mind for so many complaints that came toward him. Idk whether pochet wanna do an experiment in the first leg or not.

However in as much as Chelsea has better performance than Middlesbrough I never believe that Chelsea will be able to score this amount of goals they did, the way the goal was coming I was actually surprise and that was also what disorganized Middlesbrough performance.

As long as pochettino will not be so stupid to put some players to play not in their actual position and im sure chelsea will able to perform better. Benchilwell has become a very important player in this game caused by he was blocking many chances from middlesbourgh.
That's amazing performance from chelsea caused by this club was able scoring a lot of goals against a weak team. At least chelsea was happy with the result. Liverpool will win against fulham.

Those two meeting at the final will be intense and most importantly interesting match to watch and no one can say for sure who is going to win. It is going to be a final so both teams would be serious and cautious so I wouldn’t expect much goals from the match. You shouldn’t compare the past with the present, most of the players that played back then are no more here and if it should end in a penalty shootout then it will be down to luck. Don’t forget Chelsea’s new goalkeeper Petrovic have shown his ability and have proven not to be a bad goalie in terms of penalty kicks

No assurance on a winner yet but Liverpool are in better form than Chelsea currently and have more chances of winning the final.

However, for this season, I personally think the strongest candidate who has the chance to win the Premier League is Liverpool. The reason is, so far M, Salah and friends have consistently wiped out almost all the matches they have played in the Premier League with wins. So it is clear that Liverpool's chances of winning this season are very big. However, for now Liverpool is not yet in a safe zone, because MAN City will always try to shift Liverpool from the top of the standings. Even though MAN City's mainstay striker, Halland, is currently injured, this will not make MAN City weak. So it is true that the tightest competition that will occur in the race for the Premier League title this season is between Liverpool and MAN City. The reason is that both teams (Liverpool and MAN City) have very good players in every line. So it is not surprising that these two teams are rivals this season.

The EPL and it’s high level of competition amongst the teams in all sphere in second to none. We’ve got the Top 5 teams all following each other post to post on points and are all gunning for the league title. Funny as it looks, these 5 teams have all been at top of table this season but fell off at some point. Yes they all have their strengths and also sure their weaknesses. But you know a top team as one who harness on its strength and builds the weaknesses.

 With these we’re talking of Liverpool and Manchester City as the only 2 tight competitors for the title. Liverpool are fierce and even with Mo out they still seem unstoppable and City who’s having Haaland out is also seeming like there’s no problem especially with the return of KDB. This competition will be fierce and fun to watch as they’re the only 2 serious competitors we’ve got for the league.

The absence of Mohammed Salah is indeed a setback for Liverpool, especially at a crucial time. Manchester City sees this as an opportunity but a Klopp team performance in a previous match shows that it's not easy for any of the top teams to secure the top spot. Liverpool may face challenges in consistency, and winning against Fulham in the previous leg, even with Salah's absence, could be tougher based on their previous encounter. Brighton are really unpredictable recently. They are lacking lots of important players due to various reasons these days. This has a really bad impact on their consistency level. One day they score 4 goals against Tottenham but the other day they can't score a single goal against West Ham.    Otherwise I would have really liked to place a bet on Brighton to win against Wolves honestly.

I'm hardly keeping myself from their win right now too though but I won't. Because it seems really risky while Wolves have been in-form for three weeks on one hand. Playing a home game can still be misleading about Brighton here.

Brighton @1.60 odd appears to be a risk worth taking; they have an excellent head-to-head record over Wolves in recent years, and while struggling in a few games this season, they still managed to achieve a very comfortable first leg win. Both clubs have their best players (Hee Chen and Mitoma) at the Asian Cup.

Like I said Brighton are quite unpredictable and we have seen another example of it.    They couldn't even score a single goal therefore I'm happy for not placing a bet on their win. At least until they have Mitoma back I won't trust them in any of their Premier League game. You said when Salah was absent Liverpool was in crisis where you see that until now Liverpool's position is still in the first league meaning that there has not been any defeat after Salah was injured.

With Salah's absence in the Premier League it was because of previous national team duty and then he got injured so this is not what we expected even though I know this is quite risky for Liverpool but still when there is a call from the national team they will go and defend it.

After all, Fulham's opponent is not the premier league, whether they lose or win will not change the position of the table, but if they win, they will meet in the final with Chelsea.

I have even talked to myself regarding this, "what kind of gameplay is it?" Im feeling so curious with the clubs who played consistently by having a very high ball possession but this club was not able performing so well like scoring in the game.
How can they win the game if they were not even scoring? How can they become a champion without scoring? I would prefer to see a gameplay that was focusing on how to score.
It's much more effective rather than a shitty gameplay like what showed by brighton.

Wolves was always defending unlike brighton which was intensively doing back pass. I hate it when there was a club that was very often in doing back pass. It's wasting time. Brighton seems always consistently in repeating the same pattern.
Im not doubting the performance from brighton. The club played like shit and this is a terrible gameplay to watch. It feels like that i watched people are passing the ball each other. It was fuken boring.

Zerbi needs to think even harder to make the performance from the club even better than before.

It was a match between two unpredictable teams, so there was no desire to bet on such a match. Wolves play well at home, but anything can happen away. And the last time Brighton didn’t score at home was a long time ago, in the cup match with Manchester United, but this time no one scored, so it’s 0:0.
On Saturday Brighton travel to Sheffield, another cup match where Brighton should score, Sheffield has the worst defense in the Premier League, they concede an average of two goals per game. Although before the match it will be necessary to see what lineup De Zerbi will use for this game.

It doesn't seem to me that Moh Salah is even absent in this match. They don't have any EPL matche now until the end of this month which is Chelsea and I don't think that's going to be  a problem. They will do a cleansheet on Chelsea or worse that can happen is over 2.5 with a max of 3 goals, 2 will come from Liverpool in the early time of the match and 1 will come if Chelsea struggle and perhaps Liverpool show signed of tiredness and didn't defend as they needed to do.

From now till the end of February, Arsenal is the only big team that I think Liverpool need to fear because of the recent losses they have had and they are home, so they might be hot but they lost to Liverpool in the first leg, they might lose this as well.

For Arsenal still can't join the title race, and I hope Arteta realizes that. It would be better for Arsenal to think of a way to maintain third position so that it is not stolen by Aston Villa, whose existence this season really needs to be watched out for.

It depend on what they do in this second leg. If there attack is stronger and defend is 2x stronger than what they played few weeks back, then I expect them to win plenty of games but I'm not sure about what they will do for the strong team because West ham, Liverpool and Newcastle. These teams has humbled Arsenal in the last matches and they contributed to their lost matches.

This season the battle for first place in the Premier League is very tight. Especially for teams ranked 1-5, all teams have almost the same points (except Liverpool). However, for this season, I personally think the strongest candidate who has the chance to win the Premier League is Liverpool. The reason is, so far M, Salah and friends have consistently wiped out almost all the matches they have played in the Premier League with wins. So it is clear that Liverpool's chances of winning this season are very big. However, for now Liverpool is not yet in a safe zone, because MAN City will always try to shift Liverpool from the top of the standings. Even though MAN City's mainstay striker, Halland, is currently injured, this will not make MAN City weak. So it is true that the tightest competition that will occur in the race for the Premier League title this season is between Liverpool and MAN City. The reason is that both teams (Liverpool and MAN City) have very good players in every line. So it is not surprising that these two teams are rivals this season.

The league is still very much open for the top five teams, despite the little points Liverpool are currently using to top the table. Because the likes of Manchester city and arsenal are a hard nut for Liverpool to just crack without a good level of resistance.
Liverpool cannot be the strongest candidate who has the chance to win the premier league because of the fact they are at the top of table at the moment, don't forget that arsenal where once the League leaders before they dropped points, so Liverpool chances to win the league at This point is not big but slim,  because the point difference which they are using to top the league is not much.
