I don't know why when I see Chelsea play i still underestimate them because the consistency is still not well maintained but managed to win with a landslide score against Aston Villa which incidentally is a dark horse club this season IMO it is very extraordinary for Cheslea.

Sure. Chelsea will have no chance to return to the top 5 of EPL standings. But they performed quite well in FA Cup and EFL Cup. If Chelsea can reach the final FA Cup, they will have 2 finals for domestic competitions this season because they are in the final EFL Cup already. Well, it was a bust. Just one goal from Villa to wrap up their loss. I've noticed a pattern already — Chelsea won Newcastle, Middlebrough and now Aston Villa. These are teams that Chelsea would easily lose to in the premier league but will put up their best display in a while when it comes to cup competitions. As long as Pochettino can will some of these cup titles on the side, I'd say it's a job well done because there are teams like Arsenal that do everything right but end the season without a single title to crown their season efforts. Imo, that's much better.

We're far behind on the table and in our current situation, it'll be so hard to catch up. I always expect Aston Villa would struggle to play in all competition while competing at top level of the premier league, and this has appeared to be true. They are cleasrly not an experienced team to manage their competitive level of performance at high level. The ability of Chelsea to deliver a strong performance when least expected is indeed a characteristic that adds to the intrigue of following the team. The three goals they scored in the game must have been satisfying for fans, especially after many disappointments.

The inconsistency in Chelsea's performance can be thrilling to watch when they give a good fight against the considered the better performing team. It is a logical thought for them but at least if they can replicate this same energy in the premier league, they would have been in a better position on the standings than they are now. You mean Chelsea has financial problems? I'm not sure about that because Chelsea already has a new owner and they have sufficient funds, in fact they have achieved records in the transfer window in the last 2 seasons as the team that spends the most money with an average spend of 600 million per season just to bring in new players. In my opinion, Chelsea are inconsistent, somehow they don't apply the same style in every match, sometimes they play well, sometimes the opposite.

Chelsea is proof that money cannot always make a team great, a lot of effort is needed and considered including the coaches. Both clubs are all interested in the winnings in all leagues they are participating in this season, and for sure some sometimes they may perform below expected standards but at some point, we need to know that they are up against various other teams that are contending and fighting for the same winnings even though there are stronger then them in some matches, but generally speaking,  Chelsea and Abston villa both have had a good chance in this season and at some point, it clearly pointed to one fact to be the major challenges of both clubs which is past failure affecting them but both clubs are trying the best to restore the lost glory for both team.


If you put both of them side by side, you will see that they are both almost in the same category in terms of the recent performance of both clubs.
