Erik ten Hag's Manchester United defence stinks. Its more than bad luck. Two losses to start the season? You dont win championships that way.

Manchester United’s defense has been so poor since last season, I was thinking things will change this season, but as we can see, I can’t see any difference. Three matches played, and they lose two games, even their first win was just luck for them, it will have ended as a draw. Manchester United's poor defense made their goalkeeper make lots of errors last season, they made the goalkeeper look so foolish. Right now, the only thing I know Manchester United can do is just to sack their coach. I don’t really think he has anything to offer, but if they can keep him, they will end up causing more damage to the team.

This club deserves excellence. Right now, Ten Hag isnt enough. He's not the right man for the job.

Right from last season, it was just obvious that ten Hag is not the right coach for Manchester United, but I don't know why they decided to keep him, maybe they think things will change this season.

Honestly, if you ask me, I will tell you that I'm still surprised that Ten Hag is still coaching over the club till date. I thought the Manchester United management would have opted for him to be dropped this season but they seems to be very confident with his coaching style which I can also say was brave of them. At a time when many underperformed top clubs were changing their managers, Manchester United still decided to leave Erik Ten Hag to preside over more this season.

Out of the 3 matches that were played by the Manchester United club, only 1 was won and the rest has been lost to the opposition side. The one goal that Manchester United scored Fulham was more like a luck and after that match, they could not beat Brighton and neither couldn't they beat Liverpool. I wonder what has gone wrong with Erik Ten Hag.

I cannot be completely sure why MU keeps Erik Ten Hag as the coach, more so after not that great results. Maybe the club management still sees long-term potential or believe that he needs to build the team more time according to his vision. But with the pressure of bad results, the decision was indeed quite brave.

The north London derby with Tottenham Hotspur has of recent been a one sided game with Arsenal having won Atleast 3 out of the last four encounters which shows that the white side of north London is Another passerby game by Arsenal. Would I predict confidently an Arsenal win? I will say NO, reason been that Arsenal hasn’t actually been that so impressive and commanding as they were last season and if they play the way they play Brighton even with a full/complete players I think they will drop points.

Granted, Arsenal have not looked at their very best from last season, but writing them off based on a couple of matches is premature. Arsenal always have the potential to rise in big matches, more so in prestigious derbies. Tottenham may be tough, but don't forget that the London Cannon always can blow at any given moment. Yet, looking at the squad's quality, Arsenal are likely to sweep this match further.

There are 3 challenging matches for Manchester United this month and I don't view these three as easy matches. Southampton are less predictable, and neither are Crystal Palace, but Tottenham's odds are still better. I can expect two wins from the 3 matches above, but I tend to think of a draw against Tottenham.

Manchester United have had to learn from many previous mistakes, Ten Hag being the most important. Ten Hag needs to improve team performance and cooperation between players so that his plans for this season are really good. I'm afraid he'll be fired before the season is over if the team's performance doesn't improve at all. 2 losing streaks are very annoying and I don't want to see 3 to 4 losing streaks this early in the season.

Southampton are small devil compared any team you have just analyzed. I have noticed that Southampton don't take their games easy when they meet people like Manchester City and United even though sometimes they do lose to City most often, they have this zeal of making this guys to their kneels and the way Manchester United aren't in good form. I'm very certain that they might lose to Southampton when they meet unless there is a change in Arteta formation.

Tottenham might draw with them since they have not been doing well so far, they look weak and people that Manchester united might give back whatever they send, more like aura for aura and Crystal palace are going to lose to them, those ones don't look like team that are here for business, they look like team that will soon go relegation this season.

Crystal Palace m the other hand won their last two matches against Manchester United, and this season, they have started very well with a bit consistency, therefore, I will be expecting a win from Palace or a draw.

And for Tottenham, they can win United and they can as well lose because their lost form this season compared to how strongly they started last season.

It must be admitted that Man United defense is quite weak and the players he just bought did not contribute much, including those who were busy enjoying their injury period. Meanwhile Liverpool in terms of squad depth seemed to be given a treat seeing Man United weaknesses. So actually if Liverpool maximized their performance, more goals would be scored. Arne Slot did not want to rush so he just locked in 3 points without giving Man United a chance to score a goal in return. I'm sure Mo Salah and Diaz are still not satisfied with scoring goals. No matter what, this is the true quality of Erik Ten Hag, no matter how great the players he bought when in his hands will be dull and useless.

Yes when you don't work hard and make yourself strong, it is necessary to say weak and therefore they should make themselves good by improve themselves and also improve their position.  So they should win the match with good performance.  If they do not perform well, they will not be of any use.  Obviously when a team changes their performance to be better and fast their speed also becomes better in score and they will try to score more goals and score more goals.  If the team does not work hard Fanny will be useless.  If he continues to play with good perform the team can become even better than before.  Now they have to see what they think and what they don't.They must score goals to win the match. If they are not satisfy with scoring goals they will not be satisfy with any goals.  Because victory is with higher score.

They must be aware that by keeping Ten Hag on this season, the most likely outcome is that their performance could be the same as before and they must know that this will be the reality especially with their not-so-smooth start to the season.
But when replacing, in the end it will always be the same as this when their squad officials only make Manchester United a cash cow although now the Glazer Family's ambition in business can be slightly dampened by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

If by keeping Ten Hag this season can make their performance result be the same as that of last season, that means he may get another contract extension from the club. It is better they finish the season like they did last season than finishing under what they did last season, if they do, that may be the end of Eric Ten Hag as Manchester United manager. Eric Ten Hag will have to put his foot up and doing in order to finish the league in a good position this season. This is a poor start of the season considering the matches played so far, he should try and improve better.

Still, it won't change the view that Ten Hag is not really capable of being in the EPL especially with the current conditions.

We know that with what is happening now it is already proof that Ten Hag has indeed had difficulty in balancing the condition of Manchester United in terms of performance. Not only this season but from the previous few seasons it was the same even though in these 2 seasons he was always helped because he always got a trophy but it was not something that could be praised when their performance remained erratic like this.

This season Ten Hag's contract extension is actually quite bold but looking at the conditions we must understand that in the end this happened because maybe the club officials wanted to give a chance, it's just that if in the end his performance remains the same even though there is 1 trophy in smaller competitions such as the FA Cup or Carabao as before it will not make Ten Hag comfortable because he will be labelled as a failure.

After watching the way how opponents score goals against Manchester United for the past few seasons ever since Erik ten Hag took over the team as manager, I am starting to wonder how much time does Erik ten Hag needs to improve the defense of his team as Manchester United had already lost 2 games out of 3 games played and Liverpool truly makes it looks so easy to beat Manchester United at the stadium of Old Trafford by scoring 3 goals. I guess it will take a long time for Manchester United to make the stadium of Old Trafford to became a solid fortress again.

It seems Salah wants to stay in Liverpool for a long time and this can be good news for Liverpool because of having this player for a longer time.
We recently saw news about Salah leaving Liverpool for the Saudi League because of the better money he could get there and he could end his career in this league but he decided to stay in the Premier League and keep playing for Liverpool. After Liverpool won the game against Manchester United, Salah said they didn't try to expect the contract of him in Liverpool and he was unhappy because of this. Which shows he wanted to stay there even for a longer time.

If Liverpool is not extending his contract it then means maybe they wants him to go. If I was in salah's shoes I wouldn't hesitate to live, at least he has created a good memory and  has achieved a lot for himself with Liverpool, if by January transfer window an opportunity comes for him go to Saudi then he should go, although I deduce that from his statement that he wants to still stay with the REDS, moreover there is no doubt that he still has the fire power within him to still score more goals for Liverpool but given the circumstances at hand, he shouldn't wait until they get a replacement for him before he makes a move.

If you fully analyse the team you'll see that the defense alone is not to blame. If you watch their game against Liverpool you'll see that De Ligt and Martinez played well before the first goal. The problem of defence for Manchester United starts from the midfield. The midfield cannot control the game, they cannot press and win back balls and they give the ball away very cheaply. When you play that way against a good team you will be punished.
Look at the way Casemiro is easily dispossessed in games. This is the player that is supposed to win back balls. Same with Mainoo. The players who are supposed to win back balls and control the game are players who easily lose the ball and don't know how to keep the ball.
Then you have Fenandes who doesn't also know how to keep the ball. He's an attacking-minded player who just believes in putting one-time crosses, long passes or shots. With the kind of midfield and attack Manchester United has, this pattern of play won't work.

Ten Hag is using players who can't play a particular pattern of football and forcing them to play that way because that is the only pattern he knows how to play. The players in United as not as bad as people think. Under the right system, they will play much better. Ten Hag is a very arrogant person who can't even see that the way he plays is wrong. He never accepts that he is to blame and that is why Manchester United will be in this situation for a long time as long as he's their coach.

Ten Hag is currently in a state of confusion because all his ideas are not working for now and their situation has not changed since last season, it has always been their defense and they have not been able to manage their defense well, this season has not been a good one and what Liverpool did to them and it is just that there is nothing they would have done about Liverpool.  Liverpool defeating them at their home is just very embarrassing to them I say some people saying that they will not sack ten it is possible because they give more opportunity compared to Chelsea the moment they don't get what they want the next thing they are making you lose your job.  and because of how bad their defense is they can not even fix it even after buying defensive players the problem is still not fixed.

it is not as if Ten does not know exactly what to do but why is taking time for him to bring a proper solution after spending money, nothing is changing and it was Chelsea who was experiencing this, and now Chelsea is far better than Manchester united this season at least they have improved, but the case of Manchester United is nothing to write home about. and even if the defense is bad the goalkeeper should be above average but even the goalkeeper condition is not okay and  the fans are not satisfied with onana and making him their number one is now sounding  like the worst decision they have made, and after multiple training nothing is changing even if the best will not be the best forever, Manchester united is better than this, the situation of the club have gone worst.

They don't have much choice because even if Ten Hag is replaced as coach in the end they can't be sure whether it will be a good change or not to make considering there is no guarantee for the new coach to shine and get the same trophy as Ten Hag did when coaching.

We have seen from this decade alone Manchester United have made a lot of coach changes but only a few can provide trophies for them at the end of the season.
This may be another consideration for Ten Hag to be retained.

Although in this case I also don't really like why he continues to be defended but I think Manchester United also know that this decision although heavy but must be done with some considerations that they realize there is actually nothing easy in terms of the risks that must be borne.

Arsenal fans have something to worry about concerning that upcoming game because in the UEFA Nations League today where France played against Italy Ricardo Caliofori who is Arsenal's new signing was substituted out after he appeared to have picked up an injury. Due to the red card that Declan Rice picked up, and his suspension against that game Caliofori was an option for Arsenal in Midfield or defensive role, to free up Timber. His conditions is being looked at, we will hear some updates on it soon from the people in charge so that we can know the condition he is in. If it is a serious injury, then that is early bad luck for Arsenal with Merino already injures too.

Agree. The coach should be the first person who has the responsibility for the bad performance. In this case, Ten Hag must be responsible for the team's performance decline. He has a control of all players, decided the strategy/tactic, determine to buy and sell any player, and has the right to put any player in the lineup. If there are players who failed to perform well, Ten Hag can send the players to sit on the bench for the next matches.

We don't know what the main reason, but maybe Rashford fits with the strategy/tactic applied by Ten Hag. We may assume Rashford should be replaced by another player because we only focus on Rashford's individual stats, we don't analyze the performance of the whole team. But I can agree that Ten Hag sometimes surprised us. Maguire is one of the real example, I can't believe that he is still a part of Man United squad. As far as I know, Maguire never performed with his best anymore. He should be sold and replaced with a new player.

Actually, some of Man United's signing this season were not bad to strengthen the team. Like Leny Yoro, Mathijjs de Ligt in the back line, then there is Manuel Ugarte in the middle line, and some other players who might be pretty good. They even spent €214.50m for expenditure.

It's just unfortunate, Leny Yoro had a foot injury before the season started and had to recover for several months. And now, his condition has started to improve, he seems to be walking without crutches in the rehabilitation process.

However, this is not just about the players, even Ten Hag, needs to be considered again, whether Man United will really maintain that coach until the end of the season or not, by looking at how Man United's performance is now and perhaps in the next few weeks.

Out of the 38 league matches that'll be played this season by each club in the English Premier League, just three have been played abd out of that three, Arsenal were able to win 2 and draw 1 so why do you think anyone in his right mind will want to write off the Gunners at this very early stage of the season. Arsenal have finished their last two seasons as first runners-up in the league and I strongly believe that they'll also challenge for the league title this season. Playing against Tottenham Hotspur is always a difficult game for Arsenal but I think the Gunners will beat them when they face each other next weekend.

How can you replace a player when you dont have the right replacement for the player? Manchester United substitute players cannot make any changes when they come into the field. For quite some time, Garnacho has been starting replacing Antony, when he is subbed for Antony there isn't any good performance from him as well. Manchester United should sell their players and buy new players or better they should bring young boys from the academy. Because it pains me a lot to see that it's their first team that is having this bad performance its better that the academy boys lose to some teams in the EPL than see the almighty Manchester United players including Rashford doing nothing.

Manchester United are basically out of reach and this time, they ought to be more serious and consistent in their epic form. On the records, poor performance are oriented from the unseriousness of the club, which will downgrade them to irrelevant position. Manchester United have one of the most terrible performance when it comes to elite clubs, this is not just happening on their check. Erik Ten Hag ought to be fire because he's an average coach, having settled for lesser results which is not welcoming under his watch.

Fabian Hurzeler of Brighton and Mikel Arteta of Arsenal do not have 100% 'performance. They have both had one draw in three games. Arne Slot might be the preferable candidate since he is new in the Premiership and successfully won two games. But Pep's Manchester City have won more games than Liverpool, this might be the advantage the Spaniard have over Liverpool's coach.

If choosing between Arne Slot and Pep Guardiola I think the strongest candidate is Pep Guardiola because he has created a long history for Manchester City in the last few seasons but Arne Slot also needs to be appreciated because he has also just started the season in the Premier League but has created a winning streak without even conceding while Manchester City has conceded 2 goals even though the final result is that they both collected 7 goals.

Mikel Arteta and Fabian Hürzeler still need to learn a lot and evaluate because their clubs have not fully performed optimally I understand for Fabian Hürzeler because he is a new coach and needs to adapt, but for Mikel Arteta I have high hopes for him, because he has been Arsenal's coach for quite a long time but has not been able to give the title that the club wants.
