@FalingKnife you doing great man!   Guys  I suggested for the future we arrange national and local meetings. IMZ and Australia good for you guys. You're doing it already. Is going to be fun for those who don't want to hiding behind avatars and meeting face to face. Who's live in USA?

San Francisco Bay Area.  Right down the street from MadBitcoins.

Z

P.S.  Nice job taking down that 45 sell wall.  Is 45 a sell wall?  I got 1.5 of those.  8 remaining.

Meet-ups? I promise you, guys, we'd talk 'til dawn! The Net is fine, but it has limitations. Ian and I talk on the phone 5 days a week. Invaluable pooling of knowledge.

br
agree

BUT
slack is more for projects/teamwork stuff
so yes Slack a good place to make things happen

AND CCtalk is a good place to have many different threads ... eg "Backing Up your Wallet" ... "Sidechains a good idea for UNO?"

NEITHER
not the best for whatever it is that we do here ... What is this BCT thread a running dialogue?

"UNiverse here is only one god and that's the blue Uno living inside us all."
Smiley
And thus the UNO LORD speakths best here in BCT

And brothers these are the good days.
When UNO starts to breakout and gain super mass and velocity ... the collective IQ shrinks ... so it is good thinking to stakeout other camps to carry 'decent' conversations.  This thread will start to resemble such Doge thread woof.

Who's live in USA?

San Francisco Bay Area.  Right down the street from MadBitcoins.

@Z
You might just have committed yourself to housing the Northern Cali regional office Smiley
Great location.

The Geo-Maps (cryptoID) reveal that USA and CANADA are top crypto country.  So we'll likely need 8-10 regionals within North America.  We need UK, German, Dutch-Belgium, and French captains too.

China, Russia, Japan, and Korea are popular places to Uno-Crypto-Colonizing too.  But a bit difficult to reach thus far.

Southeast Asia and Oz well on the way to building the Global Head Quarters Tongue

Greetings!

I am working on a project that will need extended key constants for Unobtanium. All coins should have them, but Uno does not yet to my knowledge. For simplicity, I've proposed to use bitcoin's:

https://github.com/unobtanium-official/Unobtanium/pull/8

Does anyone have any objections/suggestions?

My pull request has been stagnating for a while, maybe FK can ping BW if he is running the github account to respond to my pull request?

What part of UNO got you to post on this thread?
This Simple How/Why response could stand to make you 2-3kgs Un-richer  Grin

Goodness, well I think there are two questions there:

1. what made me interested in UNO in the first place?

I've been following UNO for a while, right from when I started to become aware of crypto (though that is only about a year or so ago I guess).  I'm a geek and fascinated by the technology and how it (it meaning really the blockchain) works.

I'm particularly intrigued by the very rare coins of which I think UNO must have been one of, if not the first. And that rarity I think is why I took an interest in UNO.  Though rarity needs to strike a balance (e.g. 42 is probably too rare) and UNO seems to have it more or less spot on.

As a result this thread has been on my watch list for ages and I would take a glance every now and again.

2. what made me post?

Almost pure chance meant I took a look at the thread yesterday and saw that there seemed to be a fair bit of discussion happening. Then seeing the wallet list posted and looking at that list got me thinking about the distribution challenge.  Many cryptos seem to have a very concentrated distribution - a few percent of wallets holding a very large percent of the coins.  Obviously this situation is paralleled in the real world - e.g. something like 75% of the wealth in the US is owned by 10% of the population - but I'm not sure it is a good position to be in, especially if crypto is going to become widely adopted and used.

Hence I posted the question about the very large wallet.

After writing that I think it would probably be fair if you were to ask:

3. what do I think now having sat and watched quietly from the sidelines for a while?

Having observed the typical altcoin lifecycle I am impressed at UNO's ongoing stability.  I do not feel qualified to speak on some of the changes being proposed (I certainly need to read the sidechains paper) but I would think long and hard before making changes.  And first I would ask myself the questions: What is the actual problem that a given change will address?  What is the desired outcome from that change?

Hope that answers the question ...  Wink

I believe $UNO has no stake. It's only POW. Low gravity, no inflation coin.

I don't know a chart service that does a 90 day moving average. That's one of the reasons I bother bitcoinwisdom from time to time about adding Uno.

I can give you one of these, though!

Hey, guys.

Dice games are a lot of fun, make Uno more interesting, and help the network.

Cryptapus' has some fun games for Uno, including Dice, Ponzi and Bomb. Check it out at https://cryptap.us/uno/dice/
He's been a very reliable service provider to the Uno community. Show a little love by playing the games.

Also note:  Gameofdice.com has gone down, so remove any of those addresses if you have them in your wallet.

I just spent ten minutes over there.  I have not played these games before.  I'm curious as to how winnings are returned?

I know, boot question, but there it is...
