I agree that there should be support for larger dumps. That buy-support line will push the price and marketcap to new heights eventually and at some point the price might start to fly again.
1000 USD is not really a big money to dump. If a bullion dealer sells 1 oz of gold and needs it cash immediately, he is not even able to get the money from the markets without taking losses.

Yup! And here on Un-Ex, we are working on solutions.

# Core-tanium holds 'anti-dump ammo' -- come and discuss how it should work, and pledge some Btc! [Thanks to Bitcoin Charlie and Benefactor and Sirsmokes, who already have]

# We are working on a 'liquidity engine' for our merchants, so they can sell Uno (if they need to) for the fiat currency of the nation they trade in.

# Ian and I just wrote to an Australian merchant who accepts Unobtanium, to ask if he wants to be involved in the liquidity-engine project.

# special thanks to cragv, who is developing the 'trade-tracker' and the new DVC exchange.

Un-Ex: gettin' rich through trust

"do you want to ship korean products directly?
or reverse? as you know for normal plastic products
chinese factories are always cheaper than korean one
but we have more interesting things which have better quality. or if you want to sell something from usa or other countries we can import if we can use bitcoin, it will be interesting project tell me more about that thx!!"

Or Unobtanium? or vice versa? Anyone have any ideas?

I know and trust this guy.

@M
Are you hacking into my thought stream?  (I will need to upgrade my cranium-al firewall)

(forethought)
Bitcoin answers the $-value question; #their struggle not ours to provide 24/7 price instability
Uno-tanium answers the bullion-value question; #yet this time the kg are exactly fixed, no Klondike sudden rushes / inflationary strikes
kore-tanium holds anti-potato-dump-a-rino ammo; #yet it is not bullet proof nor cryptonite

even the btc spot-market gets stabbed

Teach me something, please, guys:

exchanges hold the coin of those who deposit it with them for trading. Do they also hold amounts of coin that they own themselves? If so, is it part of the 'trading-system'? or are they investors and traders in their own rights?

Someone mentioned that mining-pools hold coin. Why? As investors?

I'm quite sure that many of the exchanges that have disappeared have tried to arbitrage and got caught in a downward spiral.  Human greed would almost guarantee that the exchanges hold some coins or sell coins that they do not have in a manner similar to a fractional reserve system...

@BC

Any exchange not listing 'proof of funds' is very likely fraudulent ... sorry cry, bitrex, polo, BTER(ohh), Mintpal(ohh), Gox(ohh).

It is easy, like 24hrs to implement ... you send coins to your deposit address (standard procedure already) ... they sit there until you execute a trade.  Blockchain verifies that.

Why not an OPEN exchange?  Easy to do with (.txt message) chains ... you send in with instructions ... publicly the exchange house now has been given funds and instructions ... order executes or else funds are pinged back to you at specified time ... wallet tech already exists to watch markets and auto send if the price is right.

Again 90% of the exchange houses are ignoring this Elephant.  Cry is very suspect because it takes 13weeks to 'reinstall' buggy clients on their servers, thus locking up your coins as long as they like.

Reposted from over at Un-Ex:

"Just a quick shout out.

Is there anyone in this community who has an opinion on the market for:

 Cryptocurrency stickers

  Cryptocurrency t-shirts

  Design Services accepting crypto currencies

  Technical Services accepting crypto currencies

Just getting a feel for something that people always 'say' they are going to do but never seems to materialise. I have a friend who's interested in starting up but I am concerned about a true market for such goods."

Welcome, Abbott_Car!

Woo hoo! IndiaMikeZulu is splurging kitty money on coffees this morning: we actually began theorising physical alternative currencies, but we've been strudying cryptos for two years this month:

Ian and Mark remain the core. cragv has proven truly invaluable. We hold Unobtanium for 5 'passengers.' 'CD' -- the member who isn't on the Net (!) ---- has provided all manner of logistical assistance to me. We have an accountant (a libertarian) who gives us advice for free. We have a contact in the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. We are in regular contact with a number of Australian crypto geeks and Bitcoin-accepting businesses. A talented South Korean dev is available to help us.

And we got you guys!!

@FallingKnife, I could have sworn you mentioned in a post over on CryptoCoinTalk a pool that had agreed to the merge mining thing with UNO, BTC, NMC (and I think something else) if/whenever merge mining comes to fruition, but I couldn't find it after trying all kinds of searches.

If so, what was the pool's name, and does it currently offer pure UNO mining as well?

Speaking of, any ETA on merge mining?  Are we waiting for Blazr2 to reappear and chime in?

I'm psyched for it.

I'm psyched, too! But I think I had first mentioned it here at Bct that I had discussions with a merged mining pool.
I have been talking with mmpool.org. They have twice confirmed their interest in Uno. mmpool is at 250 ths this moment.
They don't presently offer solo mining on Uno. They are merge mining only.
Waiting on BW. He's working on the next update right now.
BW also may be launching a mm pool. It's being considered.
I'd love to hear from Blazr2, but after a long debate, the wheels are in motion now. I wish he had been part of it.

@FK, thank you, and sorry for taking so long to respond, I've just been snowed.  And it looks like tomorrow I'm gonna be snowed-in.  Except, unlike Edward, I'll be snowed-in Northern Virginia, not Moscow.

Thanks for the info on mmpool.org.  Too bad they don't offer UNO mining right now.  I've kinda been rudder-less (udderless?) with MiningPool.co having gone down.

Fascinating about BW launching a mm pool.  Please keep us informed.

Hilarious about BW trying to donate $1 to ISIS.  Unfortunately, I don't think The Powers That Be have much of a sense of humor about such things.  Please send our "regards of Those Who Get it" to him.   :-)

UNO markets today:

Hilarious!  Not only that, I think Cryptsy should change their "green blob" vs. "red blob" Depth thingie to something like your pic.  It would make it way more interesting!
