Not everybody loves Uno. Just show me something better that is decentralized, vetted, with low inflation, that has stood for more than a few months. New people are always coming into crypto, and they are falling for the same old scams that drove other people away from crypto. Our problem, as always, is how can we reach out and explain what Uno is to people who are rightly skeptical, have been ripped off, are angry, and see every cryptocurrency as a scam about to happen. There are thousands of cryptos but only one Uno. Many Uno immitators have tried and failed. The "bitcoin media" only likes to cover the latest coin. It's difficult. Most newcomers seem to have found Uno on their own after doing intelligent research. If only there were more 'intelligent' crypto investors out there.

"Most newcomers seem to have found Uno on their own after doing intelligent research."
One of the things that makes Uno understandably and unquestionably the best crypto investor community.
I don't mind if Uno stays low profile because we never spend big $ to get a hype cycle going. (What is advertisement $ and kickback $) nope. No need to promote to be seen. Why? the average intelligent investors should clue into the Top50 and there the Uno stats and performances sit and wait.
Someday we will run a hype campaign, get lots of 'media buzz', create some slick promotional materials, and layout some sharp looking flashy websites.
First >> decentralized, distribution to the intelligent investor and the technically talented.
I don't know what the magic number is (but given a wish) 300. 300 early intelligent investors.
I like the crowd around here. There is some kinda of magic in the mix already. If we can double or triple our numbers we get a very excellent distribution. The Uno hardened believers, not fair weather friends. Effectively a decentralized force, or the DAO.

Dedicated Android Wallet for UNO - Request funds for developmentSee the original request here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527500.msg10831261#msg10831261We now have 160 of our 125 UNO (at today's price) goal! udroidNXd1YNoL1DgNu8NktemcnexiBByMYou have all pushed this over the top! As they say, many hands make light work. I am glad to see this community going the extra mile to show our new Android app dev. what their work means. Good luck to HashEngineering on this endeavor, you have a strong reward waiting for you. I will proceed to payout as stated in the first post on this topic, namely 1/2 at app launch, then 1/2 a month after, or after any showstopper bugs are squashed (whichever comes first). By all means if you wish to continue, or didn't get a chance to donate please do. Keep in mind that devs. with skin in the game tend to stick around. Thanks everyone for your generosity! A quick update from HashEngineering: More progress has been made on the Android Wallet. The first step is to convert the Java Library namecoinj to Unobtanium. That is the stage I am in now. It is about 30% done. The next stage is to fork the Namecoin Wallet app and that is 0% done. The hardest part of the work is on the Java Library, which is the first part.
Originally the ETA was ~4 weeks and we are now beyond that, however it appears some progress has been made. Unless there are any objections I will continue to hold the bounty to be payed as discussed above. Any objections from those who have contributed to the bounty? Regards, Another update from HashEngineering: It appears that merge mining is scheduled for block 600,000 -- this may be in a few days. I would like to wait until then before I finish my testing. Currently, I have done the first part, which is converting namecoinj to unobtaniumj, perhaps this is 70% done. It works now as far as syncing with the blockchain as of block 595,000. I am away on business for a few days, but can continue my work this weekend. https://github.com/HashEngineering/unobtaniumj - This can be checked for some proof of work on my part!

Ian and I have just decided to undertake an A-to-Z experiment in paper wallets -- hold its head under 'til the bubbles stop coming up, then resuscitate it.
Full details will be forthcoming. We hope y'all will shout encouragement and advice from the sidelines.

One that comes off the top of my head is "Solid Rock" by Goanna. Very Australian, and 80s, so most of you will never have heard it. maybe not best described as Theme song, rather mascot. It does rock though. The 80s was great place in Oz at a pub, watching live bands. tacktic. ps before posting ...maybe the words do describe cryptos battle. I have no idea how to post a link, is easy to find on you tube etc. I will let you guys figure out that. if it does not. enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjzCDNOBicw

Wow. Getting really close to that block halving and merge mining kicking in at block 600,000. Blockstream seems to be behind schedule for their pegged sidechains that is planned to be implemented in UNO. Wonder when that's going to happen?

Good idea IMZ! Any crypto folk have to be a master of the paper wallet. Specially Uno folk! I remember somebody do very good guidance example for hot wallet. Think was V500? Must put those kind of guidance links, hot and cold wallet guidance on the OP ! If we dont have it yet FK. the rock song is super ! What about something more enigmatic and electronic, mystique.

"UNO"
What'll you do when you get lonely And nobody's waiting by your side? You've been running and hiding much too long. You know it's just your foolish pride.
[Chorus:] UNO, you've got me on my knees. UNO, I'm begging, darling please. UNO, darling won't you ease my worried mind.
I tried to give you consolation When your old man had let you down. Like a fool, I fell in love with you, Turned my whole world upside down.
[Chorus]
Let's make the best of the situation Before I finally go insane. Please don't say we'll never find a way And tell me all my hodls in vain.
[Chorus 2x]

yes i thought, "Solid rock, standing on sacred ground, Living on borrowed time, The winds of change coming on down the line" .............. Somehow echo crypto and its coming. As for specific Uno well not so much. except we are solid and have rockchain. Then again any good old Aussie song is applicable with a few words swapped in. beds are burning...dead heart... even convict songs ...Botany Bay or Old Man river. More radical Anarchy in the UK. hehe have fun... I look forward to reading any and singing in my head. Regards, tacktic.
