Yep, a while ago I noticed your post about 'maintenance cost per day' on the first page. What do you think about the value of that metric? Uno currently has a $10 daily cost to maintain.

I think those are the correct values from March 24, 2014. "0.00429984 BTC/UNO" - is the price quote from that time.

Still rare, still fair, it's Unobtanium.

I'm not saying the values were wrong, I'm asking you what you think of that metric and if it's currently an indication of strength given the incredibly low daily cost to maintain.

That metric was one of the reasons I got some $UNO.  I don't know if it's currently an indication of strength by itself.  I think the general state of a vast number of altcoins is currently an indication of strength for $UNO specifically.  I welcome those altcoiners interested in Unobtanium as a store of value and about to enter Year 3 of the Rockchain.

Still rare, still fair, it's Unobtanium.

Frustrating! My next 'Bitcoin buy' is still in the pipeline -- about ten days.

I'm in the same boat.

Unobtanium $UNO holding value and even increasing against Ripple XRP in 2015 on Cryptsy as both have been falling against Bitcoin BTC.

if you believe in XRP 'ripple' then this is not a bad market to focus trade

1.  if ripple is a success then that means it is a direct means to bank account entry/exit ... having an established UNO market is a big plus.

2.  i am not of the XRP 'faithful' but i see where ripple is intending to go.  they've paid 'dues' to be part of the banking establishment and will likely become the 'wire' for international bank 2 bank payments/settlement

3. it is fake it until you make capital for XRP, but they are likely shopping for banking industry partners and $200M is cheap in that realm

Cryptsy got a makeover today.

Or should I call them "Cryptrex."

Looks like someone wants some Uno at 005 on Bittrex. Buy order for 700.

500 sell order on Cryptsy at 0062.

A Cryptsy upgrade was badly needed, it looks better but still not as good as Poloniex or Bittrex. Any changes other than cosmetic? I suppose I could look for a post about it somewhere...

According to this https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/#!overview it looks like Cryptsy has probably moved their cold wallet 14 times in the last 10 days? I wonder if they have been doing the same with all/most of their coins. It keeps shrinking (below 19% of total coins now) but I wouldn't think enough to justify moving it around so much, especially if their hot wallet is 8,000 coins... Maybe they have a policy to always keep their hot wallets at a certain level.

The Unobtanium info page on Cryptsy says it will reach its lowest 0.0001 rewards by block 612,000, and I think I read that somewhere else as well, maybe on the 'cost to maintain' article discussed by Rojan and I in the last page or two. Was there a change to the rewards scheme at some point? Either way we should make sure that info is updated on Cryptsy.

Again, any volunteers to make an Unobtanium Wikipedia page and edit the external link on the 'Unobtainium' wiki page? I'll do it but I'm really busy these days and maybe one of you is more familiar with Wikipedia (my familiarity is limited to reading articles there  Tongue )

Based upon the toying that I've been doing with Cryptsy, every withdrawal has been from the mega wallet, with a new mega wallet being generated after each withdrawal.

It seems that the only major wallet left there is the cold wallet that is actually hot.  It used to be that my withdrawals would come from smaller Crytpsy wallets containing, say, 300 to 500 $UNO. Now, every withdrawal comes from the perpetually-changing mega wallet which has been slowly becoming smaller and smaller...

DEATH TO THE CRYPTSY MEGA WALLET!!!

EDIT:

In block 669154, I withdrew 8 $UNO and it changed addresses again...

That's really strange. I guess they recently altered their procedures and automated it, wasn't the #2 slot on the richlist their 'hot wallet' address? It's odd to have their 38,000 coin address be an automated hot wallet and have a random 8,500 coin address just chilling there.

Oh, one new feature I notice is an 'order book spread %', that's kinda neat.

I'm certain that the number two wallet is a patient accumulator and not Cryptsy...

If you look at the transaction history, there is never a sell in almost a year.

On an unrelated topic, I've wondered, why do people decide to start the BCT account over?

I'm pretty surprised to find so much UNO still available under .007 , honestly. Thought we'd be back up stable in the .008's by now but this is a great low to buy at currently.

Pertaining to Prototanium: I just brought my wallet online and it is syncing, very slowly, with only 1 connected peer. After about 15-20 minutes, still no new peers obtained.

As per the C-Cex voting/listing discussion: I don't like the exchange.

As per the Cryptsy discussion and new "2.0" and also bouncing around hot/cold large wallet: Neat looking new layout, really buggy and cutoff right side of the whole website right now. They are working on it. It's scary to think they could be keeping 30k some Unobtanium in the hot wallet and these are not being disbursed.

I'm trying to play catch up here, been really super busy the past several weeks.

If we somehow magically stay this low for a few more weeks, I'll be buying more, and hoping to catch a 500 some coin dump like that chunk on Cryptsy.

Anyone want to buy some PRO and keep a client synced up? I've got quite a bit, and still only getting 1 peer connected. Feel free to PM me. I don't want to actually get rid of any, but if there are no peers, I'd rather sell a few little chunks to maintain peers.

Just a reminder.... show your UNO pride with a vanity wallet!

Learn more and get the software for Linux/Windows over at Cryptapus' house.

Lets see who can generate the coolest wallet.

Sell it on the Un/Pr market at Cryptopia. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=PR_UNO

I still need to make an account at Cryptopia. I'd rather just do a PM exchange, but I do need to make an account...

and..account made. You may or may not see Prototanium in small amounts on Cryptopia.

Have to look around this exchange.

They've given Uno a good opportunity by making it a base market coin.
I like to see Uno fans make use of it.  It seems logical that Uno/Pr should be Pr's best market.
Every trade helps.
