(Rich Monopoly Guy) "Why, they charged me a quarter for my UNO Transfer fee, THIS very evening!  <cough cough choke sputter>  ... LOL

Yeah the fee is ridiculous. Pulled out all my funds from there.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

The price is getting extremely juicy.

Buying on Cryptsy you're basically paying an extra 0.25% to reduce the size of the mega-wallet, which is doing a service to the coin as a whole. Besides, doesn't really matter to be paying an extra quarter-percent when you're accumulating at these crazy low prices.

but ya, after the mega-wallet is drained I'll lean toward the lower-fee exchanges.

How are we monitoring cryptsy's wallet? Are there any specific addresses to follow?

lol Zelig.

It's not pretty but the site is cool, I like the sortable columns. It's a little unpleasant to navigate, when you scroll down to your coin of interest you can no longer see the column labels. You should add a search bar at the top that filters instantly without page loading. For example; I type 'U' and see probably 20 coins with a U in the name, I type 'Un' and see like 4 coins. That way you can easily view your coin's stats and the column labels at the same time. For an example see how it's done on the Bittrex main page (although they don't have the same problem because they limit the table to 20 coins at a time, it helps to navigate without manually scanning 20 pages.) With your website ctrl+f works just fine to find a coin, just can't see what the stats mean without scrolling back and forth.

I'm doing the math now.

Edit: In the next 10 years (from today):

1,932.58316875 UNO will be mined.

That's a 10-year inflation of 0.985% & average annual inflation of 0.0985%.

And a total supply of 198,123.58316875 coins 10 years from today.

That's assuming the block reward drops from 0.00012207 to 0.0001 and remains at 0.0001 for all the following blocks.

Someone should check my math because that seems insanely low. That's practically zero inflation.

Yep, it's the largest single address. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/#!rich (bitcointalk doesn't include the '!rich' at the end of the URL so you'll have to include it manually or just click on the appropriate tab on the website.)

Every time somebody withdraws it changes addresses and therefore the blockchain shows a transaction size of 30,000+, but it's always easy to find at the top of the rich list. This also means that by following the history you can track exactly when and how much people have withdrawn from Cryptsy. In the 'overview' tab you can easily see which days people did or did not withdraw from Cryptsy based on whether the transaction volume is 30,000+. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/#!overview It's at 96,000 today so there were 3 separate withdrawals from Cryptsy.

alt19 has a great site http://alt19.com/19/cryptocurrency.php
he's been spammin the threads of late and is looking for 10 year inflation of most of the older alts.
and my guess gearing up for an upgrade of his website

so calculating the reward schedule in a bit of detail would likely be of some benefit Wink

but natmccoy's work above is more less done the job!

2 + 98000 + 50000 + 25000 + 12500 + 6250 + 3250 + 1563 + 781
= 197,346 (the supply at the end of this era)
Outstanding right now 196,194 UNO

197346 + 390 + 195 + 97 + 48 + 24 + 12
= 198,112 (end of halves goes to sustain block 1.4M) 14eras + "2coin" upstart era

0.0001 uno / block sustain
480 blocks / day  (0.048 kg per day) 48grams?
175320 block / year (17.532 kg per year)

2,103,840 blocks in 12 years (10 years from now)

i get 703840 blocks after sustain reached on 12th birthday of UNO
70.384 kg of production  4 years

block 1.4M is reached when?
right now block height 684288

sustain is reached in 715712 blocks
2,147,136 minutes from now
1491 days
4 years

so now my math is wack  Grin
i'll hack at it later

edit:

Okay, I whipped up a graph. I know it's not pretty and could be improved upon but I made it in a few minutes   Smiley

Something's wrong with my math though, I have it that we should have 198,439.5 coins by block 702,000 but it doesn't seem that will be the case.

0,2,100002,150002,175002,187502,193752,196875,198439.5,199221,199611,199807,199904,199953,199978,199990,200000

Each data point represents total coins during a change in block reward, except the final data point where there is no change from a reward of 0.0001.

Bonus: With the price poorly layered in approximately to scale: https://i.imgur.com/oiQCiz9.jpg

block chain voting
looks interesting
... still i'm 2 dumb to get it just yet ...

Anyone can do this with any coin. In most basic terms one votes by spending coins to a address generated for a poll question.

McCoy got 198,123 in 10 years
I got 198,200ish in 10 years ... my method was working from the genesis to year 12.

So my numbers don't calculate the fast block speed era (the thing Wiener first fixed) and also I was sloppy between the exact count from today and assumes today is still kinda sorta birthday year 2.

so safe guess-ta-mate is under 198,150 kg on Nov 1 2025
(not factoring lost/destroyed/burned coinage)

not bad!

ps ... i'm still shocked that once sustain is hit ... 17.532 kg per year production?!?  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Something is definitely wrong with my graph. Trying to figure it out now.

Apparently there was a change to the reward structure or something? Anyone know the details on that? My inflation numbers from Unobtanium.uno just aren't matching up with the current coin total.

Also, does the next reward halve at block 700,000 or 702,000?

@Nat any further word from the Yobit engineers?

Sent another e-mail a few hours ago. They didn't respond to my follow-up e-mails with links to the bitcointalk thread regarding how to fix their problem. Maybe they just didn't see it since I continued it in the same e-mail thread so I sent them a new message through their website.

1 person in the chat a week ago said that delays are normal there, and someone today said he thinks they are backlogged.

It's off to a pretty shitty first impression. I wasn't expecting a whole lot given the look of the exchange but this is a little disappointing. Honestly though I still support the decision to add it. Once we're listed there things should run smoothly, I've been talking to people in the chat and they say they're mostly happy with the site. The thing is that nobody has to trade there or keep coins there if they don't want to, we've got 4 other exchanges. It's just opening us up to another tiny corner of the market, which is good.
