I would advise you guys avoid this game like a plague -we have a tough history at the Gtech Stadium in recent times, it's a tough ground and we're winless in 4 attempts. The last time we won there was in 2021.

Just like you predicted, BTTS was an awful option to take. I have never seen this current Chelsea squad this lazy and disorganized before. They just ran around the pitch doing a whole lot of nothing, and maintaining possession was difficult throughout the first half. Brentford scored the header from that corner and at that moment, I noticed a shift in performance--- their confidence dropped and they began to play defensive.

The second goal was to send a strong message to the management of that club; a one-on-one situation and all the four defenders were 2-4 yards away from their positions. It's clear that Chelsea doesn't have defenders.

I don't know about tokeweed, but i did. You were spot on with your analysis on that one, what a horrendous performance from Chelsea in that game. Some fans called them title contenders at the start of the season, i'm sure none of them still think so, lol.

Bournemouth look like they could upset Liverpool, not like the reds are in form, and the odds is good too. Anybody thinking in that direction? Or just better to go with the "safer" BTS bet?

I've never for once in the last 5 years thought we would contest for the title - there's literally too many weaknesses in the team and the players aren't helping..  tough job for Alonso, but I was always against it.

I'd go for BTS for safe and Liverpool O1.5 for team goals..

I think Brentford deserved to win. Chelsea failed to score, where is their main striker? Also, Caicedo might be injured therefore cannot control the midfield but there can be no excuses for the loss against Brentford. They seem to be a shadow of the team that finished as runners-up in the Premier League under Ranieri and won the Premier League the following year for the first time under Mourinho.

I am disappointed with the way Chelsea are playing. Rather than relying on their midfielders to step up in order to score the goals they desperately need, they should have used the transfer window to buy at least one experienced striker. Both Alonso and the board should have recognised Chelsea have a problem scoring goals if Pedro is injured and taken action.

I'm going Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester United on ML this weekend and also BTS In all 3 games.

Uh no...  I was gonna bet the Chelsea 'no' market.  It's like betting on the double chance on Brentford.  But I did bet on Tottenham 'no' at coin flip odds.    It's been going well.  Aston Villa up by a couple of goals.

I also have Newcastle 'no' at 2.53, Nottingham Forest yes at 1.67 and Manchester United 'no' at 1.92.    I hope this gonna be an encouraging list of bets.  Will keep going as long as I can.  But if the losses pile up, gonna quit and bet only on the marquee match ups.

True, we play badly when Pedro is unavailable for sure but scoring goals isn't our major problem at the moment - our defence is. We were in control of the game until we conceded stupid goals and everything fell off.. I blame our defenders for always killing the team's momentum.

We don't have enough creativity in the middle and that's fact.

What a result for Brighton, they dismantled Arsenal and took all three points. As for Chelsea (even with the disappointment of losing at Brentford yesterday) it probably brought a smile to Alonso and the Chelsea players when they heard Brighton beat Arsenal today and Aston Villa beat Tottenham.

Chelsea have not been good this season but at least they have not fallen to the same level as Tottenham. With Palmer and Rogers in the midfield, it seems strange that a Chelsea fan (such as yourself) is stating they lack creativity. I still believe Alonso is the right man for the job.

It should have been 4 or maybe even 5 you know, Arsenal were lucky to have conceded only 3 goals in that game. Though i do not think that it is a reflection of Arsenal's weakness, more than it is of Brighton's strength, Fabian Hurzeler's team is very solid and they would pose a problem to any Premier League team at the Amex.

I got Brighton in on my parlay for over 1.5 goals @3.40, which is crazy odds, it was successful, but another game ruined the parlay, gutted!

Take out Palmer and Rogers from the middle, what other creative midfielders do we have ? When you look at other teams, they have more than 2.

Xabi Alonso isn't bad but he's setting himself up for failure - at least play 4-4-2 till when you have enough players available for 3 at the back. That's my point.

Lol...  Losing to Brentford is def nothing to smile about even if Alonso sees those other clubs lost their respective match ups against inferior squads...  If anything, he's prolly asking himself why he took the job in the first place.

He's not as good as we all thought he was. Honestly, I'm really disappointed by the minimal efforts, both from the coaches and the players. They are not just ready to change a damn thing from what happened last season and if they continue like this, honestly the team might drown before December the 26th. I took a quick look at the table and the amount of reds in the first 5 games was appalling. 5 games, 7 points and a negative goal difference? Where is the manager going with this type of performance?

It's one thing to sign a manger contract with a big club, but another thing to revive the club back to its original tracks. That's not something every manager can do so imo, they may be plotting his sack letter?!

Brighton have a good squad and have very talented young manager too. After the defeat, Arteta stated his team did not show Brighton respect. The way they have played this season, it was no surprise they comprehensively beat Arsenal and if Arsenal play the same style they will lose against other opponents too.

Both are good players but for me, Palmer is way ahead of Rogers. Having said that, you are right (there is no creativity in midfield if Palmer and Rogers are not playing). I think Alonso will be flexible in future because he knows Chelsea need to start climbing the table. He will not want to deviate from his plans and his favourite playing systems but if he has to contend with injuries, he will have to make changes.

It could also be that the Premier League is the most competitive in the world therefore was it a massive surprise to see some of the so-called smaller teams beat some of the so-called bigger teams? Brentford play attacking football just as Brighton, watching Chelsea and Arsenal lose was not a surprise. Alonso deserves time, I am sure he will be a success.

Ah yeah...  But isn't it time for the club's top brass to blame itself tho..?  I think what they should do is give their manager more freedom on which players to get and when to get them, just like how Man City used to give Guardiola when he first took over.

Loosen up during transfer windows at first, get the results then tighten it up a bit later to balance the books.  I mean they gotta do it for their supporters.

And it has to be the players the manager wants...

Arsenal lost, Manchester City won therefore they are the only team with a 100% win record after five games.

The odds have dropped on Carrick becoming the first managerial casualty of the season but De Zerbi is still the favourite to be sacked first. Since Conte left Napoli he was resting but now is being linked with Juventus, AC Milan, Tottenham and Manchester United. Maybe he will return to the Premier League soon.
