Alonso was a respected player at Anfield, I have no idea why Liverpool opted to not give him the job when he was sacked by Real Madrid and was looking for a top team to manage. It is sad to see him struggle at Chelsea because he is a good manager. I believe he will change the dressing room culture at Chelsea, he just needs time to adjust to the Premier League.

Would Alonso have made a better start to the season at Liverpool? I have no idea what would have happened but I am sure he will be a success at Chelsea. I hope the owners give him time and the fans remain patient with him.

I guess...  But Iraola has yet to reveal what he's really capable of at Liverpool.  I was wrong to think that he could be in the running for the EPL trophy in his first season.  I was too excited to watch his style of football.  Lol.

Maybe No, maybe Yes, it's difficult to make predictions in the Premier League - everyone knew it was always going to be Arsenal and City leading the race with one of Chelsea/Liverpool/manutd throwing in some supprises along the line.

I have never been in support of hiring an old legendary player to coach a club. I can't quickly think of cases where it has worked as planned and that's because it doesn't most of the time. Chelsea's Frank Lampard was a flop too. Have we forgotten that so soon?

The media will never tell you that Chelsea was facing a two-year transfer ban when Lampard took over. It was a difficult time, but he took a squad full of academy players and qualified us for the Champions League, giving players like Mason Mount, R. James, and Tammy Abraham their first season appearances, and took the club to the CL knockout the following season before Tuchel took over and won the CL that same year.

Instead of admitting guilt and trying to mitigate any potential punishment, they have decided to fight back with an appeal and also a very strange press release by their owner. He effectively stated that this case could drag on for many years as every legal route will be explored.

The fact of the matter remains that every single Premier League team can stake a claim against Manchester City. For example, Liverpool lost the Premier League to Manchester City by two points when Gerrard was captain. David de Gea was asked for his opinion on the matter and he replied that he has one Premier League medal but if Manchester City did not cheat then he would have a total of four Premier League winners medals as they finished second to Manchester City on three occasions during his tenure.

Tottenham also finished second in the Premier League when Manchester City won by two points. Pochettino was manager at the time and he recently stated that if Manchester City did not cheat then Tottenham would have won the title. Imagine the claims that could be made by teams that missed out on Champions League qualification or were relegated because they took zero points from a potential six points against Manchester City.

Personally, I believe Manchester City should be stripped of their Premier League titles and domestic cup wins and the Champions League title during the years they were cheating on an industrial scale. On top of that, they should receive the biggest financial penalty in Premier League history and then should be relegated to League Two (or the non-league Conference League) and be forced to start the season with a massive points deduction.

Me saying he threw Enzo Maresca to the Wolves was a compliment you know why? Enzo Maresca was part of the corruption for many years before he left for Leicester City - now I'm assuming they wanted someone who understood the system better to continue the cheating from where Pep stopped, maybe they thought they'd get away with it but life has it own ways of dealing with bad people.

I knew this was going to happen. I wasn't expecting them to give in easily, but denying all these claims is crazy. For an entire group of administrators to openly deny the allegations against them, calling it an unsafe ruling and making intentions to pursue available appeal routes further proves, with the evidences on ground, how greedy and untouchable they think they are.

The best they could have done is cooperate with the investigations for a lighter sanctions or self report some of their dubious transactions and blame the former Chairman for it, throw someone under the bus and get a lighter sanctions just like how Chelsea did theirs-  their problem is, they were too convinced no one would find out.
