:://:: Well, if we see the bet question related to BTC price to reach $100,000 before 1 Feb, most of the people have bet against it because the odds for "No" is only 1.3. This shows that people are very much pessimistic about the bitcoin price to move to high in comming weeks as they are seeing the geo-political conditions around the world and that can bring some downfall in risky markets like stock market and bitcoin BTC. ::///:
+1 There was a time when, at another casino, I got a taste for the up‑down prediction system. I think it was based on 15 seconds. Obviously, it's a different kind of prediction; in fact, it's pure chance. In my opinion, when you make a short‑term bet on the bitcoin price, you're just extending those 15 seconds into days or weeks. Do you see what I mean? Yes, the analysis is there, but there are many variables that can change the outcome. At this point, I say all this because you mention 'pessimistic,' and you're doing so in an environment or ecosystem where perhaps technical analysis doesn't exist; and that's what has made the prediction market fun. You don’t need to be involved in politics, for example, to make a judgment (or bet) on an event. I'm not feeling pessimistic, so bitcoin to the moon!

That's a good deal. No championship matches on the card but there are a number of good matches on show. I'm excited to see Paddy return to the ring after just one fight last year where he was very impressive. <snip> In my opinion, when you make a short‑term bet on the bitcoin price, you're just extending those 15 seconds into days or weeks. Do you see what I mean? Yes, the analysis is there, but there are many variables that can change the outcome.
You are right that it is mostly down to chance when you make a short term prediction like that, but when you're betting on the price to make a 10-20% increase or decrease within that time period it requires a fair bit of analysis to get such a prediction right. On the basic level one cannot see any reasons why it will make such a significant move in direction.

Xabi Alonso got a big shock with Real Madrid sack but Liverpool is another club where he was a key star player there, so this club is one of best destinations for Xabi Alonso. He can wait till this season ending and decision from Liverpool on Arne Slot and consider to sign a contract with Liverpool or not. Slot has yet been sacked by Liverpool and Xabi Alonso likely needs some time to cool down his disapointment with Real Madrid, refresh his mind for a new coach management chapter with any next club. In Premier League, there are clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool that all need a world-class head coach and among these clubs, surely Liverpool would be a first choice of Xabi Alonso if he wants to return to Premier League.

First of all, I am not feeling pessimistic, and I am also hopeful that Bitcoin will reach new highs in Q1 this year. I am generally talking about the odds for this bet. When Duelbits is offering 1.3 odds for bitcoin under 100K in feb, it shows the chances of this are more, and therefore they are giving low odds. But again being optimistic, we can go with the odds of 3.2 and bet that Bitcoin will be over 100K Also, I think the technical analysis does play a part and one can get help from it when predicting the future moves for Bitcoin, however, it is also driven by the fundamentals.

And that's precisely the term I'm referring to. Let's say that, in the field of prediction markets, we can allow some flexibility. That is, the phrase “making an investment” vs. “making a bet” may seem synonymous, but they pursue different objectives. Although they might overlap in jargon, they are very different: a bet is a specific event, and if you lose, nothing happens; you simply move on to the next prediction market. (I know you understand, but I’m giving final context to my idea.)

I think Real Madrid will end up turning him into a scapegoat, as the saying goes, and honestly i would now like to see him as Liverpool’s manager for one simple reason he is a world class coach and i’m sure he can prove himself in the Ppemier league. Unfortunately, the constant pressure at Real Madrid and the not so good results led to Xabi leaving, but in my humble opinion it’s not his fault at all the responsibility lies solely with the board and the players’ lack of commitment. I definitely wouldn’t like to see him go to Manchester United. By the way, the prediction market on duelbits is offering odds of 3.0 for Xabi Alonso to be the next Liverpool manager, which isn’t that bad

This is a pure event bet not a long-term thesis. Right now Slot hasn't even been sacked Alonso just came off a messy Madrid exit and Liverpool isn't exactly known for rushing big decisions mid-season. Odds of 3.0 look attractive only if you ignore timing and club politics. Feels like a classic 'sounds logical on paper' scenario that markets love to price cheaply. Personally I'd wait until Slot is actually out before touching this. Until then it's more narrative trading than probability

Until then it's more narrative trading than probability I definitely think Slot could get sacked because things haven’t been going well for a long time, and expectations were different after the arrival of big names like Wirtz, Ekitike, and others. Liverpool have managed to recover somewhat, but three consecutive matches like this are simply too much. I think that if Slot makes a few more mistakes, he won’t remain the coach. They also have to pay close attention to the UCL, where they are currently in 9th place
