You can choose those first to metrics, and based on that, the rest is decided. If you say a match will end up being 1-1 and it ends up being 0-2; you will have the number of goals OK. If you claim a 2-0 and it ends up being 3-1; the goal dif is the right one. This is of course based on what I've seen, and should not be taken as an official answer

There's also something called an x2 feature that doubles your points if you win, does that cost money too? I was just surprised that nothing was deducted from my balance.

It saves changes automatically, and you can change them before the match (not sure where the deadline for that is tho)

It resets for every new round but I have over 700+ cumulative points from my previous two rounds, @csmiami might have more because he has been playing since the 1st round. The cumulative points are useless for now but It shouldnt even be there if it serves no purposes at all so probably Betnomi intended to put something like all time leaderboard or some sort ( I think )
