I wanted to give a Big Thanks to the GAW Team for the double hash payout!!!  I sincerely appreciate when a company follows up on their word as you guys have done time and time again.  I would also be interested to mine in a GAW Customer Pool.  I am also hopeful that there will be some kind of upgrade program for those of us that purchased hosted 10 packs and would like to get into the GAW branded miners.  Thanks Again!!

I have to say that I'm really impressed with how the CEO of GAW is handling this GridSeed issue. It's really rare to find a CEO who cares about their customers; especially in the ASIC business.

I have a quick question about GAW pricing policy though. My brother placed a few orders with GAW last night; one of them was for just a single GridSeed 5 chip. After using a coupon code it came out to ~$105
However, I see that today they've dropped the price of them down to $99; less than 12 hours after he ordered.

Do you guys know if they allow price adjustments if the item hasn't shipped yet? I know that there are a few companies out there that do this.

I'd have him contact support, but it's not worth bothering GAW if it's not a standard policy. I mean we're talking about $6 Wink, and I know that their support department is going to get swamped with this GS Blade pricing issue.

Have him contact GAW support; GAW is really terrific at handling customer concerns.

I have a small update. A VP at Gridseed just asked that they can do to make this latest price drop right. Here is what I said:

Its pretty simple. First be fair to your customers. Stop charging as much as you can, just because you think you can. Its clear thats the case when you can drop the price by almost half in a few days.

Plus, this strategy is not going to work going forward anyways as new competitors are showing up. They may be small, but we (GAW) have the buying power to bring them global. Plus, I have a war chest of up to 100mm from my partners at Cantor, specially to support other companies if I need to.

We need to do right by our customers, and what has been happening is not that.

Specifically, with this situation. We should have the last two weeks of blade orders prorated to the new price so I can reimburse those customers. I don’t plan, or need, to keep a dime. I want to make it right to the customers.

Going forward the pricing should update on regular scheduled intervals. This way we can plan for this. And the customers can then decide when the right time to buy is.

Thanks!

But honestly, I do not deserve any credit. It's just the right thing to do.

I only have a company because people choose to keep buying from it. I look at it as a gift.

So it's natural to want to preserve the only thing gives us value to begin with.

This is the BEST COMPANY EVER!!! I mean...Josh is just awesome and also everybody else in the company.

Every company need to take this company as a model, I certainty do. Josh has been so patient with me, spend a lot of time on the phone with me and explain everything to me including the recent Gridseed issue.

They fixed every problem I had, delivered the products fast (and you know how important this is in the mining world), answered the phone very nicely and took care of me.

I really cant say enough here, they really deserve their success and this only shows that if you give value, you get value back. They are not one of the biggest distributors in the world for mining equipment for nothing, they really do a great job.

Thanks everyone at GAW! Josh, Josiah, Rami, Joe, Luke, Bill, Amaris.

Maybe I will have him. At the current price with a different coupon ($15 off $75 or more) it's more like a $20 difference for ordering 12 hours sooner. : /

Funny thing is that if any money is refunded; it'll most likely go right back to them towards another ASIC from them in a few weeks.  Cheesy

I received my .680317 BTC! Thank you guys so much <3

I would again like to iterate that Gaw is by far the BEST company I have ever dealt with. Not limited to bitcoins or mining or anything of that nature, I truly mean that GAW is by and far the absolute best customer service experience I have ever received.

I am really proud of what you are doing, in how you are looking out for your customers, as well as the market as a whole.
I hope your future is bright, and rife with cake.

What is GAW, if anything, going go to do about the price drop for people that purchased Gridseed blade miners recently?  I purchase 2 Blades hosted miners (I paid $1,600 & $1,500).  I feel like crap now that they are selling for $950 each.

I know you will come up with something to compensate us loyal customers... thanks

I'm sure they'll come up with something good considering the stance they're taking on the hardware side of things.

I'm curious as well. What would you as a customer prefer?
If it were me I think I'd like a boost in hashing power vs a payout in BTC.

edit: actually I'd prefer a discount on their new hardware but I guess that defeats the point of hosted miners.

It's not GAW's fault.  I'm sure they paid more for them to fill your order as well.  GAW probably makes a certain percentage off the sales, so whether you bought it at $1500 or $1000, GAW makes the same percentage.  Asking them to give you back money doesn't make sense since they probably paid more as well.

That is why it's confusing that the Founder's Club had "price protection" and "equipment buy-back".

I'm sure more people would have upgraded to a GAW brand miner, if they could "trade-in" or "sell-back" their blades.

Now Josh's promise of "those that buy our brand of miner's will be happy with upcoming surprises," maybe means they will upgrade orders or something.  Who knows.  I'm tempted to buy, but am stuck with over-priced/un-upgradable blades.

Welcome to the world of mining.

I paid about $3,000 for 2 hosted miners.  Now that the price dropped 50%, i think it's fair that they should increase recent purchasers a 50% increase in hash power.... what say you?

I understand what you are saying.  it is definitely not GAW's fault.  What made it worst for me is, I purchased one Blade the night before the price reduction and 1 Blade a week before.

I'm quoting myself to give a quick update. Ended up having him contact support. GAWMiner customer support did a great job resolving this issue. Overall, we're both really happy with GAWMiner. Makes me even more excited that we have a Fury coming in June; great company deserves the business.  Grin

Two thumbs up for GAWMiner.  Cool

Update on the double hash promo.

GAW Miners gave out over 75 bitcoins to customers to support them in making greater profits.

I hope you guys enjoyed it. Please send an email to support if you did not get yours yet. Thanks!
