All of my orders through GAWMiners is hosted as well. Will I receive the zencontrollers if in the future I decide to have my hosted equipment shipped to my residence?

Well, I guess the cat out of the bag lol. We are excited about out partnership with these guys. They have some really cool stuff planed. Additionally, we are including one with every pre-order miner we are shipping All my miners are hosted now, so I have no need for a Zenminer Controller. However, it sounds so cool that I want one anyways! Just to play with. Will the cloud interface be similar to what you guys have for the hosted service? Semi-tangent: Any chance Jeff could come up with a way to split the blades in the A2 and GAW brand miners so that they could hash at different pools? I've got a few friends interested in mining now and two or three of them could pool resources and purchase a bigger miner if we could split blades. Would make hosted group buys WAY more popular. ZENminer has agreed to migrate all of our customers. We will still handle the physical hosting and support of our customers. But they will handle the cloud interface going forward. It's a win win as they have a dedicated team, and it allows us to focus more resources on Prime WTF this is not Prime??? well then when we getting prime!!! Thanks for the pm. I am waiting for the credit to buy into this. best regards Phil

You already can split the A2 blades up. You would have to log onto the Pi and do something like this: /usr/bin/screen -dmS cgminer /opt/scripta/bin/cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool2 -u worker1 -p x --A1Pll1 1200 --diff 8 --api-listen --api-network --cs 8 --stmcu 0 --hwreset --no-submit-stale --lowmem Blade 2 would be --A1Pll2 etc etc...

Can 1 Pi running this miner handle multiple types of ASIC, eg Gridseed 5 chips and a Fury?

Additionally, will forks of software (cpu/cgminer) be provided for folks who don't want to use the controller/zenminer setup?
This would be good, unless other is better

So the hardware is a Raspberry Pi and the Zenminer software comes on an SD card? Just wondering if the Raspberry Pi has been modified physically?

^Ooh, that's tricky. Well they can't not have software support. That'd be asinine. I just know CPUminer has been better than CG/BF for the 'seed hardware, and we all have our preferences, so it'd be good to have an official statement. Thanks for the update from support, but the question has been asked here several times (maybe my posts just got deleted) without an official response. I asked the question 5 times that I know of. Guess they didn't know till today.

Hey Guys,
All order will ship with an included Zencontroller. If you wish to use something different, you can re-flash it to whatever you want. zenminer has told me that if the controller is re-flashed, they will not support flashing it back again at this time.
Please direct development questions directly to zenMiner, thanks!

But in talking with the CEO, they currently do not have plans to fork the development.

1) good to know. 2) thank you for the credit. A question how long a wait for prime? I will spend credit and not sure I want to wait for prime or buy other gear.

Prime is about 2 months away from completion. Roughly.

Yes, but what software will the hardware you are selling support? I didn't buy a Zen contract, I purchased a miner, I am hoping the miner you are selling has software that makes it work outside of forcing people to use a service they did not ask for and was not part of the terms of the original purchase. I think Josh took your question a development question, which is a zenminer question. Support of the software to our customers will be done through us. Additionally, the majority of Furrys came with no RPI anyways (only those that purchased on the day), which is what I think your order was. So the zencontrollers being shipped are a free bonus. We will support the zencontroller which is what will come with the miners. If you modify or re-flash it, you will loose software support for the controller.
