Can you drop us some updates on the new miners?

ZoomHash just released the "Wolf", "Lion", and "Dragon" with strikingly similar specs and pictures.  Are these just OEM'ed miners with a shiny custom box around them, not 100% GAW specific?  When will you be able to release more details of these (mining software /w source, real-world reviews / hands-on test results, real pictures etc)?

To be fair, Zoom has had the loyalty program for awhile and I remember seeing there before you guys added it. Still, you know what they say of imitation  Grin

This is true, they did have the loyalty program first. But didn't zoom just announce that they will offer a miner hosting service soon?

Hmmmmm.... Sounds familiar.

Well, Zoomhash's miners all the sudden look just like ours, they started using zendesk just like us, they started using the EXACT same loyalty program just like us, they started using the EXACT same reviews programs as us. You do the math Smiley

This doesn't answer any of the questions the original poster asked.  Similar businesses often run using similar platforms, there is a reason why there are a lot of popular platforms and sites that end up looking alike.  Plus the business model in the ASIC world is the same regardless of sha/scrypt, you sell shovels or you get paid to shovel for people and take fees off the top, so all businesses will converge on to the same exact models (sales + hosting).  The question is whether it stays friendly or they gouge one another to death.

Back on topic... Cheesy

Care to shed any info on what bsquared asked? Smiley  Also, what software support are you intending since these are new (?) chips?

They are our miners, so we are very polarized to support them. We offer a one year warranty, along with other features in the future Smiley

I do not have any additional technical information to share at this time.

We will release more information in the future. I understand if that does not work for some. So we either may not be the right company for them, or they would need to wait until we come out with more specs Smiley

Josh,

I, like everyone else, appreciate the way you are running your business. I just placed another order (probably my 15th by now) for some more gear. Since day 1 you have been answering the phone, making things right, and standing by your word. Much respect for that. I look forward to what you and Gridseed come up with to make the price drops a little easier on all of us.

Hello everyone, putting together the final details. I will have an update soon Smiley

Please update us soon on the sudden price change!

This is only my second week of owning a Gridseed Blade and 5 pack of Single Gridseeds purchased from Gaw Miners, spent $2000.
Now to find out my equipment is only half the value. Please make it right and compensate for the price DROP!. Thank You.

I got 0.096804 btc from the double hash promo!  All around, GAW has been a very excellent company to deal with.

I have a small update. A VP at Gridseed just asked that they can do to make this latest price drop right. Here is what I said:

Its pretty simple. First be fair to your customers. Stop charging as much as you can, just because you think you can. Its clear thats the case when you can drop the price by almost half in a few days.

Plus, this strategy is not going to work going forward anyways as new competitors are showing up. They may be small, but we (GAW) have the buying power to bring them global. Plus, I have a war chest of up to 100mm from my partners at Cantor, specially to support other companies if I need to.

We need to do right by our customers, and what has been happening is not that.

Specifically, with this situation. We should have the last two weeks of blade orders prorated to the new price so I can reimburse those customers. I don’t plan, or need, to keep a dime. I want to make it right to the customers.

Going forward the pricing should update on regular scheduled intervals. This way we can plan for this. And the customers can then decide when the right time to buy is.

Hi Everyone,

Just an update.

Gridseed committed to getting back to us last night on how they were going to approach the price drop. They have pushed this timeline back to the morning (our evening). We are making progress and have good solution in mind. Stay tuned!

Ditto, if I get the difference in price back in coins or credit, I'll be ordering another ASIC that day, maybe 2 depending on the deal.
Also wanted to say like everyone else I got my doublehash promo and it made me Smiley

the amount you guys get back will probably not be the price difference from what you paid now and $950. That would mean you guys got an even better deal since you got it cheaper and get to mine with it for a week or two. That extra week or two is worth a fair amount so I would assume the 2 week ago purchases will get less than the one week ago purchases (maybe 150-200 per week per machine?). I just bought one when the price dropped to $950 now so I am content.

Not necessarily. Many people purchased hosted miners that didn't get turned up live until 5/2/14.
