It will start, I just registered a minute ago and it was exactly 6 players with me. Jayce probably will join us as well, I havent see him skip any game at all from the last swc series so it was probably 7 players total ( or 8 if someone decided to registered last minute )

Due to the low number of participants, I think you will be getting the Grand Finale spot even if you dont join this week and the next one. See you at the Grand Finale Steam

At one point, about 1 minute before the start, I saw the following picture: six players were registered, but it looked like there were 7 there, because they were numbered like 1,2,3,5,6,7.


Thanks to all who registered the tournament happened, and that's a good thing. Congrats to Yahoo for taking it down yesterday!

You know that its always a bad news when someone reraise your raise on the river with a shove but sometimes it is a price that you must pay because you might be having the best hand in this case . It seems he checked in the river and if you check as well then probably it wouldnt have ended yet, I probably would have called there as well depending on how he act on flop and turn.


Congrats @yahoo for winning this round. It seems that the three of us managed to get a better position this week compared with last week. I was 4th last week, ended up 3rd yesterday. Betwrong was 3rd ended up 2nd and Yahoo was 2nd ended up being the 1st this week.

Also it seems we have our final 9 players for the Grand Finale already

Yeah I get that and with only 6 players and top 3 places paid, the total prizepool for the qualifiers was pretty small. I got around $15 for a $12 buy in for the 3rd place , thats literally $3 for over 2 hours of playing . Unless we can get the 1st place, its kinda lame

It will be intense and tight like the previous Grand Finale, we played until the 2nd break and most of us still has almost the same stack back then.

Congrats, I thought ace in that circumstance would count as 1 so the lower card if you both are putting up straights.    Seems pretty unusual to have both sides facing off from either end but if you play enough times alot of things can happen.   I think I had 4 kings once in my first 4 cards which has to be highly improbable.  I do know a few people who play but only casually really and somebody whose played his whole life since he was a kid but only really with relatives and us casuals.   Whats the best link to get them to get them signed up if I can, for some reason I havent joined telegram so I'll do that

It is but in this case, Betwrong was having straight to 8 while Yahoo had flush. Basically Betwrong was flopped to death in this board but Yahoo played it smartly and lured Betwrong to the river than jam it all to end the game

We have reached our final 9 in the SERIES and there is no way for anyone else to qualify. Also, there are no players who qualify for the losers game, so I talked with the owner and he is giving a $300 freeroll instead of a losers game.

As far as I understand, we already have 9 finalists, but we still won't play this weekend? ^{[not counting freeroll]} In the sense that the final game will be on schedule as if there were 8 pre-final games, (although I'd rather sit down at the final table this weekend). + What about ethics? Can players of the poker series join the freeroll?

Everyone can play the freeroll, it is not limited to new players or anything. The owner and I had a chat and since there will be no losers game, this is a great option to 1 have 8 weeks of poker plus a finale week, and 2 give everyone in the finale a week to practice or study for the game.

Could be a bluff though. Overall, imo, if you have a straight when playing heads-up, and not just a straight, but the best straight possible in that situation, you can't think your opponent has a better hand, you just can't. Of course you can lose, like I did, but in most cases a straight is more than enough to win, if it's a heads-up.

That's a great news! I hope to meet all our past participants in this freeroll, and also I'm pretty sure that thanks to it at least several more people will become interested in playing in Bitcointalk Poker Series in the future.

Betwrong wins the "Q" with 48 points, winner of the BPS # 1 Grand Final hosted by Betnomi makes it clear that he is going for his second title.

The final top 3 played all the Qs, CCwatcher420 together with icopress played five Qs, the rest of the players in the top 9 signed up for four Qs.

Of the seven Qs played, only one player managed to win twice (Steamtyme), and  one player managed to be second three times in a row (runner up)...+ odds, soon.

Considering the lack of enthusiasm, this is probably going to be the last bitcointalk weekend poker game. Even if there is another series after this, I dont think we could even reach an average of 8 players for every rounds lol. Its understandable, some of you might be getting sick of poker already or probably lots of circumstances are happening in your life so yeah lets enjoy while we can and win some cash in this last game  

Although I said to enjoy this game, Im definitely aiming for the 1st place   Best of luck everyone !

I'm not sure about this. I think it is prestigious to run Bitcointalk Poker Series, and that's what counts more than attracting more players to site through this particular event. I mean, it aims for the future. Right now millions of people play poker online, but very few of them use BTC. Surely this will change in the years to come. And something like "host of the official Bitcointalk Poker Series" will be a nice thing to have in your portfolio.

That's what I think.

I'll keep trying to play. The Sunday afternoons are tough with it being one of the few days the kids have off school. It's definitely easier in the summer. The pandemic stuff has made it easy enough recently as any little sniffle pretty much keeps the kids out of school, imagine that in a Canadian winter. Either way, looking forward to trying for a 3peat this series and for my 2nd Title.
