though presently if one invest in major altcoin, one will make profit if one holding it and sell at the appropriate time, while trading and investing is somehow the same thing, one just need basic as to how to trade and make super profit.

As to whether to invest or trading, it depends on how you which to take risk.

Invest in major Altcoin and hold, sell at later date normal risk

Invest in pump coin and sell immediately high risk.

this good market situation I have advice to start trading and investing. because both of them have the potential to get huge profits.
to trade when the market is as good as it is today is very profitable. because the movement of the chart is very stable and the price goes up very quickly.

I agree, why don't you choose both OP? You may trade the half of your belongings when it has a profit already and then make the half of it as investment for long period of time. Investing needed a lot of patience and perseverance because it takes more of your time and you will don't have an assurance that your coin will still be profitable in the market situation whether your asset is in the top 10 or not, still you need to take the risk because you want to invest.

It's kinda the same thing since your still going to buy cryptocurrency but just have a different method on how to profit. Investing in like a long term investment just like buying bitcoin 10years ago and then selling it today to get a high profit in the market. Trading is more like a short term investment where you lock in your trade and make sure your profit because it is risky to keep that money in the cryptocurrency. What I suggest if you have a lot of time you could be a daily trader you could also just invest for long term if you have a job or something.

Most people don't have the mentality to be a good trader. i read an article  recently saying more than 95 percent of retail traders lose money. While that may not apply to a bull run like we are seeing now I feel its better off to invest for long term

very true, doing both is the right choice. by doing day trading or investing in the long term, we will get double profits. But keep in mind that every single thing has its own risk, and is not recommended for people who are not ready to take risks or do not like high risk appetites.

Aren't we all in the same situation when that kind of event happens?
Most of us are confused whether to invest for a longer term or just to ride the wave for awhile.
I have tried it before I ride the wave of the hype alt-coin and luckily I gain profit but I know that it is risky without the proper knowledge of trading.

Once you put money into cryptocurrency that means you have invested  but it now depends on what you intend to do, that is whether you are a day trader, you want to be trading daily or you just want to buy and HODL for a period of time, and both processes need you to get involved in knowing what the market situation is so that you don't miss your sell point to make profit

You need learn first for do both if you choose trading then you need learn about reading the chart movement if you choose invest then you need to do some research before investing, it's all up to you depends on your passion I guess. But always remember to spend money that you can afford to lose to prevent huge mental attack when you lose your money in trading/investing.
